A:  We do appreciate your question on Vigoro Black Rubber Mulch. In more than 20 years, we are unaware of any PEER-reviewed independent study that has concluded that the use of recycled rubber was the cause of any adverse human health issues. Thank you.

A:  Rubber mulch does not retain water like other ground covers. That being said, water will pass through the material directly into the soil beneath.
