Answer This Question
A: Yost 908-HV: Base hole diameter is 0.625” or max hole diameter is 5/8”D if there is no dross in the casting. Out of safety I would purchase ½” hex head bolts.
Yost 910-HV: Base hole diameter is 0.625” or max hole diameter is 5/8”D if there is no dross in the casting. Out of safety I would purchase ½” hex head bolts.
So yes, the Yost 908-HV has the same hole diameter as the Yost 910-HV. Any other questions, please reach out to support@yostvises.com or call 616-396-2063 Ext. 3

Answer This Question
A: 5/8" is the hole diameter. In the event there is any dross (casting pimple) in the hole, I would use 1/2" hex cap bolts and nuts. Any other questions please feel free to contact Yost customer support at (616) 396-2063 X 3.

A: It is heavy duty and visible and matches nicely with all my yellow Dewalt tools in my garage workspace. It rotates and is strong and bolted securely into the wooden base table shelf I created for a vise. It was the same price as the lesser brand name at HF.

Answer This Question
A: Keep in mind these are casting that are machined and thus each vise varies slightly in terms of overall weight.
Gross weight: 21Kgs (46.2 pounds) which means from UPS' point of view we need to declare it at 47 pounds. Although, we routinely receive chargebacks at both 48 and 49 pounds. So by default we report 49 pounds. The vise when shipped is either double or triple boxed to facilitate arriving safely and in working order.
Net weight: 18.6 Kgs (~41 pounds).
