I put average, as the pictured product is not what I bought. Right Manufacturer, and correct class of tool, but what you have pictured is not what I bought. I bought a crimping tool to use with PEX plumbing materials, but the one I purchased

Best tool spent for work needed.

As others have mentioned, the adjustment bolt failed, and the adjustment slipped back past zero, so the crimps I'd been making were leaking. Since this tool is designed to make joints that will be buried in a wall for years, this is a serious flaw!

Don't waste your money. The adjustment bolt doesn't hold. When my Go/No-Go gauge indicated that I needed to increase the force, I adjusted the tool. But on the first crimp it went right back to 0. I was confused as to why my rings didn't seem to get crimped any smaller, so I checked and the adjustment was back to 0. I tried again, same result. I'm mad that I spent $70 on this piece of junk and I hope that the rings I crimped with it will hold. I switched to clamp rings and clamping tool from Sharkbite for the next phase of the job.

I bought a number of little items as well, and with a clerks help, I could locate them all. He even made some suggestions.

Home Depot installers caused damage to my home and trying to get my money back for the damage or the materials and services provided has been a nightmare!

Waste of money! I usually read reviews before purchasing tool, but needed something quick and this is what they had in stock. Needed to install a shutoff valve on a dishwasher line. It was my first time plumbing with Pex, so I thought I was doing something wrong until several reviews mentioned the problem I was having—over crimps on lowest setting. I must’ve tried 5 times and kept getting the same result—a leak. $50 bucks wasted

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. Even at lowest setting would overcrimp every joint. Purchased a competitors and it worked flawlessly out of the box. Would not recommend

Tool worked good easy to use.

This really shouldn’t even be sold. After a dozen connections this won’t hold a calibration adjustment and none of my crimps will pass the go/no go. I wouldn’t trust a crimp from this even if it did, and you’re crazy if you’re using this and then walling up the connection. I’m so thankful I was just redoing some laundry room plumbing and had a couple sharkys to cap my cut pipes and turn the water back on. Don’t buy this!

Don't buy this tool, it doesn't work. It blows my mind that Home Depot carries a tool that straight up doesn't work. Looking at the other reviews looks like a lot of other people had problems / exact problem I had. Needed to crimp 1/2" PEX, but this tool does not crimp tight enough. I changed the tool to the tightest setting and still it didn't work. Complete waste of money. Bought a Bluefin crimp tool online and it worked no problem.

Out of the package this is set to its lowest crimp setting and should be adjusted perfect from the manufacturer. I used this tool on the crimp rings, on a perfect 90 degree, and each time the tool got stuck on the crimp ring and I had to aggressively twist this tool to let go of the ring. I did not know about the jaw release at the time. Also this tool scored each crimp ring. I did not have any leaks afterwards and checked them again overnight, but this tool is going back to Home Depot

I bought a set of Pex tools to do some plumbing work for an outdoor shower, and this crimp tool did the trick! it is a great value and works very well for an amateur like myself. I highly recommend buying a decent set of tools when starting a new project, they will serve you well especially if you intend to do more of the same type of work. These are relatively easy to use, and after watching a couple of youtube videos i was able to very successfully complete the work!

This product sucks !!! Period. I do not recommend this method.

Garbage. Calibration nut holder stripped after 30 rings. Now wont fully crimp rings . No way to replace the nut holder. Dont buy

1/2" crimp does not work. I purchased this tool to do both 3/4 and 1/2" junk

The adjustment gauge on this tool didn’t work. It’s an octagon shape; you’re supposed to loosen, push it out, and rotate the gauge before setting it back in and tightening. Followed the directions and moved it away from 0 multiple times, each time on the first crimp it would go back to zero. The corners of the hexagon were noticeably wearing and seemed to be the culprit. Frustrating issue.
