I had 3 out of 4 of these bolts strip the threads just being TIGHTENED BY HAND with a screwdriver! As they started getting snug I hear a 'pop' and the screw refuses to advance, only free spins. I manage to get them out and sure enough, the threads are stripped! I hardly put any pressure on these bolts. Surely this must be some kind of new production defect. I'd be cautious buying these anytime soon.

Just what I needed to securely hang a 29 pound mirror in our hollow wall sheet rock. For the 1/8 inch by 3 inch bolt, the working load limit in 1/2 inch drywall is 70 pounds. For the bolt length, I added the 1/2 inch drywall measurement to the 2 inch by 4 inch wooden wall stud measurement. That equals a maximum bolt length that I could use at 4 1/2 inches so this 3 inch bolt was perfect.

Worked as expected. I don't like that the metal they use is very soft. One slight strike and it bends.

These work perfectly for holding up a wall mount towel rack that I could only mount in the sheetrock because there were no wall studs where I wanted it mounted
