We used the posts to install a fence. The posts worked out absolutely great.

Needed these post to replace the ones holding up the roof over the front porch. Bought them online and had them bring them out to the wife in the customer pick up zone. When she got home i was furious ! When i unloaded them they were warped and twisted so bad you couldn't use them to build a thing. Took them back the next day to return them and see if they had any better quality ones in stock. Much to my surprise almost everyone they had was perfect. Why did they (Lawton, OK. home depot) load the only bad pieces of lumber they had in my wives van. When i took them back customer service even asked the manager what in the world is she supposed to do with them. Never order lumber online.

These posts work great for cattle gates in low lying areas that stay moist and have standing water.

Good quality and cut nicely

unfortunately bulkier than I expected but otherwise same as represented -- my fault, not theirs, although I might have done better not to order on line

The product was straight and without bows or twists.

I investigated a horizontal fence rail that fell off on one end today. I had built a 2 rail fence out of 4x6 posts set vertical and topped with a 45 degree diagonal cut to shed rain. I connected my posts together with 2x6 pressure treated 12 footers.All was HomeDepot and rated for Ground Contact I painted this fence with a Exterior white stain. I found rotten posts in less than 10 years, maybe well less AND rotten ends on some of the 2x6 supposedly "pressure treated" rails. And these ends were not even cut, they were just as they came. Just absolute crap and this is all above ground too. When "ground contact" rated lumber is outlasted by the paint, something is wrong! I am NOT a happy camper.

Good wood, easy delivery

The delivery was excellent... the driver was very accommodating and provided and excellent experience... the only complaint was that 3 of the pieces of lumber were warped and unusable!

Not a good selection of Wood was provided. I felt the picked the worse pieces they had to provide me with. Not buying wood online again from Home Depot.

I only needed ONE of these to mount a 116' Gardena hose reel to in our yard. However, the one I received was straight, not too wet and in excellent shape! I installed the post 3' in the ground and used foam to secure it. Our hose reel mount is working extremely well and should last for years! I highly recommend these 4" x 6" treated posts for your home or work projects!
