I would recommend it only if they could find a sd card Formatted 32 you can easily find 64 class 10 but you can't get it to Formatted correctly! Thinking about just changing it to a Ring to hard to work with

The customer service # was horrible.Connection was horrible.No other words.

Fairly easy to install. The motion detection is a little hard to control. Every time a car goes by my phone goes off, but I like it overall. Able to fend off sales people no problem!

The Good - Easy install, Easy "Initial" Setup, Nice camera, worked with existing chimes without the chime kit. The Bad - App is glitchy. Live video freezes and locks up iPhone, motion zone does not work to limit motion detection. The Ugly - After 7 days of working fine (except for the Bad above), doorbell won't connect to app. I have gone through the initial setup process now multiple times after deleting device, 1) scan QR code, 2) set up hot spot, 3) enter password, 4) select wifi, 5) wait for app to add device to account. At this point it times out without adding the doorbell to my account and I have to start all over from the beginning. Even tried the hard reset to no avail. The Verdict - Time to return and get the Google Nest.

Save your time and don't bother calling their "7 day a week" customer service becasue they "care" so much about customers. That's a lie as all you get is some guy reading boiler plate instructions--the same that come with the product. For actual assistance, you have need call during "business hours" Mon-Fri. Dear AMCREST, most folks install these kinds of items on the weekends.

The camera is amazing. I love it. Easy to install. I really recommend it and I decided to purchase it as gifts for my family for Christmas gifts.

I am very happy with the Amcrest doorbell camera, it was easy to install and easy to set up. It was a very good value and works very well.

This doorbell is very reliable, it will send you push notifications to your phone. This doorbell will work best for people they are going to wire it as it does not have batteries. It comes with all the required hardware needed to attach to your existing doorbell wires. Setting up the app is very easy also after you create an account and you click “add device” it would walk you through the set up. I recomend this doorbell.

Great doorbell cam for a great price. Look forward to purchasing the Amcrest Cams for the rest of the House.

Excellent product. Camera has great clarity and resolution. I like that fact that no subscription is needed.

First; the camera is fine. Works great. The bad review is for the app. I downloaded it, and signed up for a cloud storage subscription. But the app keeps (randomly) losing track of my subscription. So it thinks I haven't signed up for any storage options. So the video doesn't record. It only takes still photos and only when the doorbell is activated. When the app decides to recognize my storage subscription it does a great job of recording any activity outside the door within range. Customer support via phone is useless. You have to send in an Email ticket from the site and you will hear the next day. Do not waste your money on this. Spend the extra money and get a RING.

Such a wonderful product, i tried Ring but nothing compared to this one in term of picture quality along with external sd card so u dont have to buy subscription( another expense) easy to set up too and well made.I highly recommend it.

This work much better my Ring Door Bell. Motion sensing is amazing and even the storage is great . Best part is you don't need to pay for the monthly subscription for the data storage , i use a 256GB SD Card and the SD card slot is secured and with 256 GB I cant imagine running out of memory for at-least 3 Months if not more, Once the memory is full SD card formatted with click of a button from the App whola! back to 256GB memory again. Pros :- 1. Motion Detection range is really great 2. Camera has amazing quality 3. Support SD Card recording (No need to a Subscription) 4. Easy to install Few Improvements that can be made:- 1. Need few improvements on App (UI) for better user experience 2. Provide better instructions for using setting up the SD 3. SD Car memory management , it will be nice to have few advanced features like automatic purging of data older than "n" number of days 4. Last but not least, need a Battery operated Door bell as well

This is a great addition to home security system. The door bell installation and application account set up was easy, and I was able to complete it in less than 15 minutes. It comes with everything you need to get it installed even a screwdriver. I appreciate the design of Amcrest application with easy to navigate and control all the features associate with it including camera, voice, and security notifications. The quality of voice and camera resolution is as exceptional, and the motion notification is quick compared to my previous device. Both daytime and night time video quality is exceptional. The motion detection area and sensitivity is fully customizable and works as expected as long as there is wifi. I also like that you can record all the activities using micro SD card without need of cloud. Overall, this door bell is easy to use and incredibly reliable for home security.

Nice unit easy install good picture quality day and night as good as my 2 year old nest and better than my 6 year old ring

Have had this product installed for about 2 weeks and really enjoying it so far. App is a little glitchy at times, but overall useful. It is also integrated with Alexa, but that needs work. Picture is clear and the notifications are good. Installation was a tad difficult depending on age of old doorbell if you have one. Otherwise, should be relatively simple for basic installation.

The camera quality is excellent, and I LOVE that you can save the footage to an SD card! Amcrest is my first video doorbell, and I feel so much safer having it! We've had a lot of packages go missing in the neighborhood, so it gives me comfort knowing I am notified whenever someone is on my porch. I have already recommended the doorbell to my mom!

The doorbell camera kit came with the installation hardware needed for various setup locations. Despite being nervous of how tricky it could be, thankfully the instructions guided me through the process with simplicity.

This product was great in every way from installation to actually viewing footage/two way talk. It is not a great fit for me however, because the hard wire on my front door is in an odd place and I cannot get a good viewing angle. This is a wired video doorbell, not battery operated.

The video Doorbell is good and easy way to keep an eye on visitors.The installation process is easy if you follow the instructions. The images on the instructions are clear. It took me an hour to install doorbell because I had to find wiring of doorbell and existing chime. The App is easy to use and clear. The Amcrest wifi video doorbell can only be used with existing doorbell wiring and chime. It is definitely a cheaper and good option as most of video doorbell are $150+ priced.

It is the 3rd doorbell camera I install, and so far is the best video quality is great, and alarms response time is also great, that means that you get the alarm if somebody is in front of your door in very little time.

Everything is working great. Installation was extremely easy. Even with my old doorbell system. Integrated seamlessly. Also kudos to the guy in the installation video on youtube. That video was a huge help. If you are looking for a fantastic video doorbell for half the price of the other brand look no further. Go with Amcrest!!!

I was looking to buy doorbell camera, and I considered to buy ring since it is one of the most popular out there. However, one of my friends told me Amcrest is really good for doorbell camera, so I just gave it a try and it turned out that it better than I expected. After a week of using it, I really like motion detection and 2 ways communications from doorbell. The motion detection work quite good by sending notification on phone. The app also notifies you when someone rings the doorbell and gives you to option for answering. The setup instructions were easy to follow and it took about 30 minutes to install and about 5-10 minutes to setup the app. Overall I am very pleased with this this doorbell camera.

I love this doorbell because unlike the other major companies, this doorbell's service comes free for at least a year! It works well and information is sent right to my phone so I can review. It does not currently have a portable chime with it but it can easily be set up to your own home-wired chime.

So I purchased this Amcrest WiFi Video Doorbell Camera for various reasons. First, I have several Amcrest security cameras, both POE and WiFi as well as an Amcrest Network Video Recorder (NVR). I have been very satisfied with these devices not to mention the outstanding customer service I have received when needed. So first off, I wanted something compatible and they finally manufactured one. Next, I wanted a video doorbell that I did not have to pay for a cloud subscription as my wife is very hesitant about the cloud. Along these same lines I also wanted to be able to save my recordings locally which is possible on this device via the onboard micro sd card recording ability as well as with my NVR and home computer. I also wanted to be able to integrate with my existing wired doorbell (I found out after the fact my doorbell, which I never used, had the wiring removed at some point before I purchased the house). Anyway after installing new wiring the installation and integration was a snap. I had one issue when configuring the app to connect the doorbell to my network but after a quick email, which I prefer, they had me connected. (I needed to restart my iPhone). This Amcrest WiFi Video Doorbell works very well, has good picture and video quality, and the app works very well also. The only true complaint I have is there is no motion detection sensitivity option available on the app or in the camera, at least not that I have found. I ended up disabling motion detection because I have this mosquito hawk in the evening flying around my front porch and it makes for a very busy phone notification scenario.
