Love the way it looks but having serious water escaping the doors. Had a contractor put my shower in, not a home job.. Have caulked twice now, checked to make sure rubber seal hasn’t moved under moving door, I’m at the end of my rope with this. Destroyed my wood trim in front of the shower and now drywall is getting wet. Not happy.

This floor required a ton of mortar base. It’s really flimsy without a super firm base.

I bought this shower base in store without reading the reviews. After I taking it out of the box, I the base was flimsy but thought after installing it would feel sturdy....I was wrong. The base felt terrible under your feet. I also noticed a small chip near the drain assembly and a hairline crack along the front of the base after the install. I removed and reinstalled the base 2 more times to try and make it work with no luck. I am taking a $200+ loss and scrapping it. I don’t want to “live with it” and eventually have to replace the base and walls costing me a lot more. I will make my own base and install tile.

Easy to install and a lot easier to enter than a tub.

I read bad reviews regarding flimsy flex of the floor. Per instruction step 3 you need to poor a bedding material... like mortar or floor level material... to support the base... I imagine if you skip that step... you'll end up with a flexy... bouncy floor. If you skipped that step... well I imagine a good fix would be to pump a bedding material under the base somehow. Maybe get some appropriate material in a caulking gun. Drill a hole in the side of the base a diameter which fits the caulk gun tip snug. Maybe on the left side base. Then drill another smaller hole on the right base. Then pump bedding material in on the left until it oozes out the hole on the right. As you're pumping it in have your wife or buddy go into the shower and step around on the flexy floor to help distribute material around the base. Then when done... let it dry the appropriate hours... then hop in and give it a try. Good luck. Could you help me with the drain... I'm waiting for the base to ship in... it says to us a 2" pvc drain connection... but what is the top dimension of the drain fitting... or tell me the drain you have that fitted? The base came with a few deep scratches in it I was still able to use it I’m not sure when it happened if it was during shipping

Main issue was finding a drain that fits as this company does not make one and there is not a standard size.

This shower base is very poorly made ,or it's me.Also it's very slippery when you actually get in the shower !!!! i had to buy a shower mat which I think i shouldn't have . But oh well the nightmare is almost over,(me installing it myself ! )

I had a professional install this before I installed the "passage" walls. I should have had a way to "test" this with water before purchase. It is very flimsy and took a lot of mortar to level it. It is challenging to level it all of the way around because you have to match the shape of it with the mortar underneath or it will give when you stand on it. Also, the corners have to be "PERFECTLY LEVEL" or water will pool when you take a shower. My contractor used wood wedges to hold the corner while it dried, but the next day when I removed them to put in the floor, they apparently moved slightly. There are two low corners and they are diagonally across from each other. This can only happen when the pan is flimsy! This pan has way too much flat level area that does not move the water toward the drain. There are much better pans on the market that have a narrow lip.

When I slid the shower pan into place for dry fit, a chunk of the gelcoat busted off revealing that only a few strands of fiberglass were touching the gelcoat. When applying any pressure to the pan, it makes a crackling sound like it is going to break. Whether you are a pro or a diy home owner, do not order this product. It is very cheaply made and will not likely pass the test of time.

While installing this shower base, it cracked on the edge because the fiberglass was so thin. The gel coat popped off and there were only a few strands of fiberglass. It was on the edge where it won't show behind the surround and I am on a deadline for this project. I don't have time to wait for another to be shipped to me so I will waterproof it with silicone and put in the surround. I installed screws around the outer rim to hold it in place because it was weak and flexing. Some of the screws just broke right through the gel coat and popped all the way through. When I applied weight to the pan it made a crackling sound like it was going to break. I will have to apply spray foam beneath the whole thing to support the weight without the risk of it breaking later. Do not buy this product. Very poor quality.

Everything worked out fine so far. There’s been a delay in the remaining installation due to Coronavirus but hopefully it will be finished when restrictions are lifted.

Wow another great company with a poorly designed and over priced shower pan. I didn't think no one would challenge Delta for having the worst shower pan but then here comes American Standard with this mess. I install around 30 shower pans a year with 30 years of experience in the trades and this shower pan is not DYI friendly, I can guarantee water will sit on the opposite side of the drain if not installed correctly, flat spot is to big. Very easy to be pushed down and over looked and then its to late. Water will sit there without anyway to drain out...

The base was a little hard to get level and supported under it,would go back to making my own base ,would be easier

It’s really pretty flimsy, installed easily, but would say that spending the little extra on a cast iron model would be well worth the time and investment especially over time.
