No nails or anchors required, and assemblage was easy in existing Amerimax k-shape gutter systems, and it just rests on the brackets to keep into place. Works perfect for keeping the façe board drip free, and protecting the surfaces from rot. Thanks for a great and affordable product for home diy’s!

My new roof was juicing with no sign of abating after 2 months. Juicing is when oils from manufacturing the shingles is drawn out by the sun and then washed off by rain causing the fascia to stain looking like tiger stripes. In Florida , code requirements dictate that roof shingles cannot protrude beyond the drip edge to reduce the potential tear off of shingles in a high wind. As a result water constantly runs down the fascia causing stains from the oils. I reduced the width of the top flange of tge vinyl drip edge and cut off the flange meant to contact the fascia. I slid the modified vinyl drip edge between the shingles and existing aluminum drip edge with a little contact cement. I let the new drip edge protrude 1/2" beyond the existing aluminum drip edge. As a result, water no longer runs off the roof onto the fascia and eliminates the tiger stripes. This is not a problem up North because shingles are required to extend beyond the Drip edge by 1/2" to 3/4".

Brought it back to store, got regular aluminum 6 " wide drip edge. I loved that this product had the extra tab to wick the water, but in the end it was too short to nail to my sheathing. So make it wider and I will use it on a garage roof I am doing, but until then it's the tin...

this flashing is great to go with the amerimax gutter. If your house is like mine the angle you have on house to get the angle straight might push your gutter away from your house 1/4 to /1/2 inch this drip edge fills that gap perfectly goes up under shingles and lays on the gutter causing all the water from the roof to enter the gutter and down the spout. only draw back is trying to cut it to perfect length without it shattering I recommend a utility knife and cut it that way. so my recommendation is 4.8 stars

This is a great drip edge because, unlike aluminum drip edge, it wont dent, bend and crinkle while in transport or during installation. Thats why I love it. The problem with it is overlapping one piece over another on a roof longer than 10'. Due to its design, it is hard to overlap as is. I overlap it by cutting out a 1" section of the vertical part of the flashing, basically the vertical part of the "T". One that is cut out, I can overlap that section on to the one next to it. I use tin snip to cut the section off.
Nail holes are also premade which is nice.
