These windows look awesome. Light & easy to install. These come with the straight arm operators required to meet egress requirements - huge plus. Very minimal packaging; check entire window long before day of install. Noise insulation isn't amazing. Not all interior frame parts glued in - be careful

I start off by noting that I researched various window makers. I have had problems with Marvin, and others dislike Pella. One thing many have in common was that they did like their Andersens by comparison to the other two. We have lived with ours for a couple of years now. An early problem was a screen was damaged by my (professional) installer and there is apparently no way to re-screen the special materials used by Andersen. They eventually offered to sell me a replacement screen at some discount off an outrageous price, leaving me little choice. Needless to say, this did not sit well with me. As casement windows, they use handles to crank the windows open and closed. Like many such windows made in the last 30 years or so, the handles are basically junk. That means they DO NOT stay securely fastened to the crank mechanism. I retighten each of them about twice per year, but this is unacceptable. On a positive note, I was able to get these double glazed windows without inert gas fill which can cause a variety of problems, depending upon air pressure changes. I suggest you do the same. Also they look fairly attractive.

Have been an Andersen Window fan for many years. They have continued to make improvements over the years. My home was built in 1895, the windows were replaced in 1985, and then an addition in 2008. With 4 kids some of those Windows have been broken over the years. It’s definitely nice knowing I can order replacement glass for a window manufactured 36 years ago. The Andersen Company makes quality Windows that stand the test of time and through some of the harshest weather conditions from -35 degrees to 100+ degrees with all the wind, rain and snow that comes along with what the Midwest weather can hit with. You can’t go wrong…buy Andersen Windows…you won’t have to worry about them again.

Window is great. Went in easy. Easy to open. Meets code in my state for egress window. I feel much safer in my basement now. Much cheaper than other sites and still well made. Highly recommend. Do understand though, at this price you have to buy exterior and interior trim kits.

For an off the shelf window, this window worked out great. Great price an window operation is good. Good value

I would have given it five stars if they had included an insect screen. Virtually no mention of the need for screens in the product description. I doubt that there are many climates that wouldn't benefit from screens with these windows. Include them in the cost and offer a credit for excluding them!

Beautiful Window. Well built

Ordered 3 windows, got the notice they were ready for p/u got to store snd found only 2. Them they said they couldnt help me locate another store with one... Some notice would hsve been nice. Great job home depot, you should just take yourself out the game!

Solid construction for a vinyl clad, wood interior casement. These should meet your local requirements for emergency egress.Be sure to purchase the screen (sold separately) and check its fit before installing the window. Interior wood framing of the one I bought was a bit tight and there is little to be done once it is installed. Otherwise an excellent product.

why doesn't this come with a screen? I purchased two of them thinking there would be one, why wouldn't I. after they were installed by a professional that is when they told me there was none. Disappointed that I would spend this much on an Andersen and they don't provide it!
