Nice looking, but be warned. There are bad instructions, and then there are the instructions that come with this door. 2 hour easy install, maybe for someone who puts these in all the time and doesn't have to attempt to follow the provided installation information. We're 5 hrs in, and still going and we're handy and smart. This install is not for the average person, or even two highly educated people who have put together endless Ikea furniture with pictographs. We knew we were in trouble when the holes in the first step did not leave 3/8th of a inch as indicated. Turns out the predrilled holes were in the wrong spot. Latch instructions - awful! Closer instructions... they don't even mention second pin. How hard would it be to have the parts labeled with their corresponding letters and to have pictures that clearly show the orientation of the part? You NEED to make a video and put it online for this exact model. Installaphobia?Didn't have it before I installed this, but I certainly do now. I don't normally write reviews, I think this is my second ever, but this experience was so frustratingly aggravating that I had to share it! It took 2 people 8 Hours.

Great product but difficult installation. Parts aren't clearly labeled and can be confusing and time consuming. Once it's installed though, it's great! I love the hidden screen to allow airflow.

Had this door delivered today and when it was delivered I didn't notice that the box had been resealed with brown tape, the delivery guy placed this side against the wall. This means that the box was previously opened. I was told by the Home Depot worker that you do not want to purchase a door in store that's been previously opened because its probably missing parts. I should have paid more attention when the guy delivered it! Well I had this same door delivered 2 weeks prior and it was new, i expected the same, but NO! It was missing the installation instructions and the 2 plastic installation spacers which are crucial for installing the door correctly. Luckily I still had all of these items in my garage, and I was familiar with installing this door. The door itself is a nice door and looks very nice installed and has very good quality. BEWARE of Home Depot and previously opened boxes!!

Get a Professional to install this door!!!! Love the finished product. Installation instruction were tricky Five lines in and the bottom hole did not line up to “predrilled hole” called customer service to verify to make my own hole with 3/16 over hang. Most IMPORTANTLY they want you to drill out the holes for the locks? This is not an easy task when it comes to metal. Even with the diagram. If you don’t do it right you will have an off center hole!!! They should pre drill these holes in the factory! I would have paid extra for that!!! Still had to make sight adjustments to lock and strike plate!

If you are considering this storm door need to know this; the door jam brackets at the bottom that attach to the cylinder are very weak. We had this door installed by a professional and before the end of the week the bracket was bent. Storm doors should be able to take small amounts of wind. Holding onto the door still bent the bracket. The door I had was 37 years old and did not have this issue. This bracket was cheap and thin. There were few screws holding it in. We had to pay our contractor to come back and replace it with a sturdier steel plate attached with 6 screws. We called Anderson but they didn’t offer to make it right. We bought this door because we thought Anderson doors were quality.

I like the doors. I had a contractor install 2 of them while doing some other work. Installation took them a good 3-4 hours each door. The 2 hour installation mentioned on the listing, I'm not so sure about. I'm pretty handy around the house and almost installed them myself and I'm glad I didn't. Overall, the doors are good for the price and I'm happy with them.

Would like to know how to contact company, the screen has been giving me problems for a year and finally came apart all together door was installed 4/2/17 should last longer

The door is great and the installer did a great job in record time. We highly recommend this door and installation by Home Depot.

This door is not Andersen Quilty I had this door befor 15 years ago installed on my old house and it's still like was new THIS DOOR Instructions where back words for left and right hand plus when ordered it asked left or right hand ? That was wasted step in ordering 2 cd low E glass not low E they just put sticker on the box and charged more 3rd the bottom seal sweep not wide enough its let's bugs In 3/8 inc gap on each side come on Andersen spare little more rubber Had by new seal the right size My over all Buy the Better Model 3000 series

Would give this door zero stars if I could. Installed in May. Failed in August with screen torn and window frame for moving piece fallen apart. Called Andersen and a warranty replacement piece was sent, about 1 month later. Working with a local handyman, the replacement parts have poor instructions and do not fit in well. This door replaced a door that was in place for 20 years and was starting to show its age. This door is likely to be replaced within one year. Stay away. Not worth the price. Andersen's royal reputation is not deserved based on this product.

These storm are visually appealing, however, quality is very poor and unlike any storm door I've had previously. I purchased these less than a year ago. Within 6 months, there is significant warping of the screen door track. This also caused the middle horizontal panel to break and pop out of its socket, leaving a large hole / gap between the panel and glass through which water leaks into. Storm doors are meant to be able to be used outdoors, and should not warp and become misshapen like this with temperature change especially in a new door like this. I have had prior storm doors 10-15+ years old that were less expensive that have withstood much harsher extremes of temperatures and have never had problems with warping. I purchased this door due to its Andersen brand, but am extremely disappointed with the poor quality of this door. The contractor who installed my door also told me he has had poor experiences with quality of Andersen doors.

I will start by saying i love the finished product. This door is a challage to install. Directions are a bit confusing. Not a beginner project. Just take your time and you will love the results.

I love this door! The one hand retractable screen is so useful! The lock to hold open with your foot is so useful!

I am totally satisfied. My workman installed it in my sunroom, and it is Beautiful. The screen totally rolls up into the door frame, and you are left with a clear glass, fantastic door. The screen pulls down and is a nice, tightly woven piece. I can see my pool and the canal I live on much better without half a door obstructing my view. The door stays open with a touch of your foot. Andersen is the best, all my home have them, and they stand by their product! James at Home Depot was so helpful as well.

This door comes in a box with gigantic "Easy Oops-Proof Installation" print on it. The smaller print says "Any lost parts or miss-cuts during installation may be replaced free of charge. Just call 1-800-933-3626". Once you screw up and call they ask for pictures, copies of instructions and the template (this door requires drilling some LARGE and precise holes in the frame). There is inconsistency between the printed instructions and the template which can cause you to drill holes in the wrong place. What a surprise that this particular "oops" is not a covered event. The guaranty, if you want to call it that, is a scam.

I have been wanting this door for long time and it did not disappoint. The self-storing screen is easy to roll down and allows a wonderful breeze into the living room. The nickel hardware is a beautiful touch to a terrific door.

I purchased two of these doors. First install my expert contractor worked on putting this door in for over 3.5 hours. It was not an easy installation. He had to shim the door frame to close some gapping on the side. It is quite likely the door frame was not plumb. The second install had a different issue; the door sweep barely leaves the bottom of the door even though the screws are adjustable it does not drop down nearly far enough. It seems the drill holes are not in the right place? (or it is just way too short.) This leaves about an inch of daylight at bottom of door. I've have ordered another sweep off Amazon and will see later if that handles the ill fitting. Perhaps I should have a bought an 81 inch from Larson..... this door does not come in 81". It is a very nice door with its full view and drop down hidden screen which we have not used yet. The nickel hardware is very nice. It looks very nice so I will give it a 4.

Had door for a year had buy replacement parts we don't use the door everyday and no small kids be careful decided to go in door unlocked open door and the end cut my foot had to get TD shot In a nutshell get a cheaper door poor me purchased 2

I have got an Andersen 2500 series storm door 3 weeks ago. The installation was not too bad although it took longer than 2 hours. I guess you can do it in 2 hours if you do this all the time. The door looks very nice but... after 3 weeks of use the bug screen started to come out of its rail on the left side of the screen. I removed the top cover of the frame right above the retraction mechanism and I see that the left bracket of the mechanism is crooked and forcing the bug screen out of the rail. The whole mechanism looks very flimsy and I could not find any way to straighten or fix the bracket so we are stuck with a useless bug screen. I should have just bought the model without a retractable screen for half the price.

Looks to be good quality, I would buy another.

Other than hanging the door inside out at my first try it's a great door. My wife wanted an upgrade and I started It a little flustered. I didn't notice my mistake till I was ready to Install the closer. I just made it a right handle door instead of left. Also there was a bit of shimming to do even at around 32"-321/8".

This door was a bear to install. The directions were not clear and hard to follow. You could call this door the divorce maker. I would encourage anyone that buys this door to hire a professional installation. Or, just buy a door you don't have to put together, drill holes and install. It's up, we survived and I love the door!

I looked at this door at another vendor, i decided to go with home depot, because of the volunteering work done for veterans, and I already have an account with home depot. I like the look and the feel and easy movement of this door. Im glad I have it.

read your instructions,understand,and follow. the job will come together very nicely. Do measure correctly and acturately, it's critical. Do use a centerpunch where directed. The only feature i found less than satisfactory was the closer does not allow the door to open a full 90 degree. not a deal breaker, since it was fully installed at that point. installed two doors over 2 days, about 3 hrs 1st door, 2 hrs 2nd door. could probably do in 1.5. They look great, the screens are great for the air flow, You should be very pleased with the value. installed 1st week may '19

Love my new storm/screen door! It lets the sun and light in perfectly. Looks nice from the street as well. Very well built - love the pull down screen!

The directions were a little confusing but with a YouTube video, went together fine. Works great so far.

My husband and I were able to install this in just a couple of hours. It was not hard, just very detailed. Wonderful door, high quality, I would recommend for anyone looking for a storm door with a screen for the summer months.
