I had an old metal framed outdoor end tablet that the paint was getting faded, scratched, etc. I decided to use this paint for a refreshed look, the original was forest green. I left that on so that I could see how well the coverage was, and how many coats it would take. I did no prep other than washing the old surface and allowing it to dry The first coat did a pretty good job of coverage, I could still tell that the green was under there. I treated this as a primer coat and let it dry for two hours. The second coat was definitely better at covering and was almost nearly the same color as the cap, but still just a but dark. The third coat did the trick. Full coverage, matched the cap color perfectly. I’m happy with the end result, the coverage is good, the color matches, and the finish is flat as advertised. With three coats it has held up well, I use this as a side table when I’m camping. After three coats it feels like I’ll have plenty left over for touch ups.

I must first state that the color on the web page is not the color on the can which does match the paint. The color on the can is a good orange color not the muted mauve color shown. To that end, it was perfect for the task I had in mind. First let me say, Behr has produced a paint that is primer and cover in one and the paint is workable on multi-surfaces. Those surfaces include the typical wood and metal, but also include masonry and plastic. Plastic was the surface I was most concerned with. Plastic is a broad range of materials with different structures and surface qualities. You note there are glues that portend to work on plastic but on closer look at the label you may find certain plastics are not valid. I didn't find such a disclaimer on the Behr paint. I would find out soon if it was a good choice or not. I wanted to do a Halloween project. I was taking an empty large pretzel container and turning it into a Jack O' Lantern. I printed out the face. Overlaid the face with duct tape on the opposite side before cutting it out. Then I used painter's tape on the duct tape side to adhere the face to the inside of the container. Now here's where the Behr paint shined. I sprayed the inside with a lite coating and continued with several more coatings over the span of three days, allowing for each coat to dry between sprayings. The big thing was to allow drying and off gassing of the paint as it dried. Being an enclosed space, this was a slow process. The off-gassing paint fumes are very noticeable, so use the paint in a well ventilated area. My results were stellar. The paint didn't run or droop. The coverage was excellent, and my project looks great. Now, I need to clean up the face pieces with a black marker to outline them and add a flashing light inside. The upside is that I have full confidence my next plastic project requiring paint will be done with Behr.

This can of Behr premium “summer Sun” flat spray paint worked out very well for one of my wife’s many outdoor projects on my to-do list. She was very satisfied with the color and appearance of the flat paint. I really liked the spray tip on the can. It is very wide and that makes it easy to spray for a long period of time. It seems like most cheaper spray paints have the small spray tip and you end up with paint all over your finger. We followed the recommended prep instructions on the back of the can and the paint has held up just fine to being outside in the sun and rain. No complaints on my end. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for quality spray paint.

First time using Behr spray paint. It shook up easily and sprayed a nice, even pattern. The spray nozzle cover is oversize, like other premium paints, not the little spray nozzles on bargain brand paints. Very comfortable for the finger on longer spray jobs. I gave my project hanger 2 coats and only had 1 small run. This is flat paint and I prefer a satin or gloss paint but this worked well on the outdoor plant hanger I repainted for my wife. The original color was flat black and she wanted more color for the area. Plenty of paint left for another project.

This paint has covered my outdoor composite deck tile used in front of my pool. It covered the sun-dried deck tiles I placed outside over a year ago. Behr makes outstanding paints and I have used a variety of Behr paint over the years. This paint comes in a spray can which makes the job faster and with less accidents. Here's what this paint, the Ocean Abyss Gloss, covers: wood, metal, plastic, brick, glass, concrete, and terracotta. That is quite the list of things you can spray. My pictures will show how the paint brings back life to what is being sprayed. This is the easiest way to spray most things.

I used this paint to renew the color of the chains for the swings on my kids' jungle gym. The chains are steel, but also partly coated with plastic. We've had the jungle gym for a while and the exposed metal was starting to dust. So I wanted a paint that would hold up well outdoors, and that would adhere to both plastic and metal. This paint seemed to do the trick. It turned out quite nice so I'm happy with this spray. The color of the appliex paint matched the color of the cap very well. And the color is nice and vibrant. My only issue with this product is that it seemed to struggle spraying if the can was tilted more than about 30 deg.

I’ve used most if not all spray cans for projects. But THIS ONE has got to be the best!!!! BEHR really outdid themselves. I will shop nothing but Behr. No runs, Easy spray, Doesn’t clog and spits. This got me thinking I can do it all. I sprayed an old mailbox I’ve had for years. Made it look brand new

Came well packaged. Worked great on my project. I sprayed the non-visible side once, and the visible side twice. Went on easily. I'd recommend after using it twice to wipe the spray nozzle to ensure it doesn't get on your fingers the next time it is used. All in all, this is one of the best spray paints I have used. Generally, I am not a fan and avoid them at all costs. I did love the color, even though I thought it would have more of a green tinge to it than it does. Definitely looks very blue. I liked it quite a bit and have another longer rail that I plan on using it for as well. The project I used it on is a rail placed in a bed to allow plants to trellis on it. So I think it's a great color for the green plant I want there.

I have used other colors in the Behr spray paint line for automotive restoration work. I know that they work very well, and the metallic dark steel color is a favorite go-to of mine for a variety of purposes. But I have never tried one of their non-metallic colors, and this Ocean Abyss blue caught my eye as a possibility for an antique model truck I have planned. We know that spray paint like this is all purpose, and is great on wood, metal, ceramic, and a variety of other materials both indoor and out, but how about styrene plastic as used in model kits? In an answer, it works well. I painted a scrap hood with this paint, applying primer to the left side of the hood in the picture, and painting the right side right over the plastic to see if it crazed the plastic. The primered side came out very well, the plastic side did craze a little bit as the paint soaked into the plastic. The picture shows two light coats, which is all that's needed, coverage is great. The actual color is a little darker than the cap, a medium-dark navy blue with a hint of green. It's perfect for an antique model truck. For model airplane builders, it's close to Blue Angels blue. It is the next day and the paint is still slightly tacky to the touch, allow 72 hours or longer for a good cure time. I have noticed that the metallic colors dry more quickly and to a very hard surface, which is something to consider if the project has to be pressed into service quickly. Overall, it's a nice product that works very well.

My wife does childcare and we had a kids table that is taken a lot of abuse over the last 10 years. We wanted a fresh look for the table and the spray paint changed it completely. Between sanding cleaning and two coats of paint, my whole project to transform the table was about 30 minutes of my time. In fact, it turned out so well, I put a polyurethane coat on it so after we’re done using it for the kids, it will make a nice side table in her craft room. Very happy with the ease of use and how it turned out.

I ordered this paint because BEHR is a name known for excellent paint products. I chose coral to provide a "pop" in my back yard. I sprayed a worn and scratched planter. The spray came out in a uniform pattern. Coverage was pretty good and the first coat was about 75 percent. The second coat completed the job. The color is bright and noticeable and stands out against the green of the azaleas.

I like the Ocean Abyss Gloss Interior/Exterior spray paint. It's easy to use and covers nicely. It's great for small projects. I sprayed a bare wood propellar I made for a project I'm working on and it covered nicely in a couple of coats. The paint dries fairly quick and looks great. I like the gloss paint for my projects and it repells water when it rains. It does say on the can that a primer may be needed for some materials. I think probably bare metal should be primed first for best results.

I was sooooo excited to see Behr spray paint! I have exclusively been using Behr paint for years. For the inside of my house and the exterior of my house. I recommend it to everyone. So I was stoked to try this Behr spray paint! So the can lasted forever i literally kept hoping it would run out bc I didn’t want to store part of a spray paint can. I have been wanting to paint this planter for years especially after it was covered with rust. I did 0 prep other than get some spider webs off. Love this Behr paint.

I have a metal table that badly needed painted! I scraped it pretty good & cleaned it with bleach & a cleaner to get the green slime off! I didnt sand,it's just a backyard piece that stays out all year. I used this spray paint,which looks bluish in the photos but it is a dark hunter green with slight bluish tone in person. I've used lots of spray paint but 1st try at BEHR & wow,it has super good coverage first coat! I was surprised & it sprays really nicely without clogging or dripping. Very good spray paint, best I've ever used & will use it exclusively now! The difference in quality of finished job is far superior to other spray paints & I've tried them all! Your job will be easier and look much better! Dries in 15 minutes too!

Behr Premium #HDC-MD-05 consists of 12 oz. exterior/interior oil-based paint that is fade resistant and contains a rust preventative. One can should easily cover an area 3 ft. by 5 ft. I found the cap color to be pretty accurate regarding the actual paint color. In addition to Desert Coral shade, it is available in 10 more colors. Holding the can and activating the aerosol spray is comfortable due to the ergonomic design. Spraying is smooth and I did not notice any runs even though I was spraying a vertical surface. Having applied paint to one surface of an old garden dump trailer, I intend to buy several more cans and hope to make a 30-year-old trailer look like new again.

I think we can all agree (or most anyway) that yellow is a beautiful, happy color! This indoor/outdoor spray paint from Behr is THE perfect shade of yellow! It matches the cap really really well so you know what you’re getting when you purchase it. I absolutely love Behr quality paints although this was the first spray paint from them I have had the opportunity to try. It sprays evenly, it’s not overly harsh in the scent and it covers very well. Highly recommend for whatever your needs!

I use spray paint for my whimsical backyard garden art that has a tendency to fade in the blistering sun over the years. To tell the truth, I have always used another brand because I don't remember seeing Behr spray paint on the shelves. I have bought many gallons of Behr paint for my home and it is a great product. The color I am now using is called Summer Sun, comes in a 12 oz spray can. I do recommend wearing goggles and use on a windless day. The directions say it will adhere to wood, metal, plastic and glass.

12 oz. can of Interior/Exterior Spray Paint and Primer Aerosol. This is an extremely easy cover paint that I have used in other projects. My neighbor had decided to trash this small metal side table. I asked her if I could freshen it up and use in my backyard. After cleaning it up and spraying with the Behr Premium spray in #SP-110 Summer Sun Flat the table looked brand new! My neighbor was surprised the table could still be used. It only took one can of spray paint. The quality of BEHR speaks for itself! Now I have a nice, bright table to use with only a cleanup and can of paint.

Product was simple to apply only 2 coats were needed for the swirls. Spray was not strong smelling and the color is perfect for fall. Doesn’t look like the sample color more “Fallish”. Perhaps I needed to apply another coat to obtain the sample color. Overall this product does what it says it does. Color washes off hands with ease (soap and water)

Used this product to update old brass lamps from 30 years ago. Sprayed them bronze then black…looks great!

I have used this Behr paint on several outdoor projects. The color very closely matches the stain we applied to our new cedar fence. I used the Behr spray paint to cover the metal frame on the 2 gates. Now they blend in with the gate for a much nicer look. We also stained our catio structure with the same wood stain. We used the Behr paint to spray the hardware cloth screening and the staples used to hold it in place. It made for a very nicely finished look.

Was not impressed with this paint. Used the entire can and still ended up going over it with rust-oleum. I do not recommend this product. Disclosure: I could have been using for wrong application but it was a recommended product with my purchase.

I’ve used plenty of spray paint in my time (usually rustoleum). This paint is incredibly thin. I understand that I will need to use multiple coats, but I know what to expect from an initial coat, and this ain’t it. The exposed wood that I was mainly trying to protect simply looks darker, as if it were a coat of polyurethane. I shook the heck out of the can as directed as well as during application.

Great color, came out exactly like shown.

I took before and after pictures but it won't let me add more than one picture. Overall I am happy with the color. Thought it was going to be a little darker but when it dried it did come out to be a little darker

I used this on a wrought iron table set. Please with the final results.

Used this to paint a wrought iron table set for my mom. We are pleased. The final product looks really good.
