Excellent stain, excellent coverage

Great deal on top quality Behr wood exterior stain!

Excellent coverage and adherence paint even for an old fence.

We bought a house with a deck that was in terrible shape. Since we cannot rebuild it this summer, I decided to patch and paint it. I bought Behr Solid Color stain because it is opaque and lets nothing of the ugly patched wood show through. It covers thoroughly, has uniform color, dries fast, and prevents water from getting into the wood. It is thicker than a wood oil, and it is not drippy or sloppy, it is easy to apply. I was very happy with the result on a deck that was really hardly worth saving.

Holds up nice and the color match is good

The delivery of 3 orders were in one or two days! The painter I hired said this was good stuff and it sure looks good. Two coats of the stain were professionally applied to very weathered (40 year old very porous cedar sheeting previously covered with semitransparent stain every 10 years or so) on the south side of the house. About 5 gallons provided 2 coats of coverage for about 200 square feet. He did put on pretty thick coats with a roller and brush. There is a slight unobjectionable smell after 5 days. I already bought a different color for a future project.

Great coverage, easy to use, fast drying. Hopefully, the color will stand up to our Arizona summers without too much fading. Stain cans were well-packaged and arrived on-time.

Definately thinner than regular paint and messier to brush & roll but I am very pleased how it seemed to be absorbed into the old dried out fence. The test will to see how well it holds out in coastal souhtern California.

This product is the replacement for the previous Behr House & deck white stain that I used for my deck railings. So far it looks to be an exact replacement for it as well. The finish went on very easily and matched the existing area that had the previous stain where I ran out.. Time will tell how well it will hold up to the elements, even though this deck is 30 years old the railing looks terrific.

Purchased this slate colored solid Behr stain for our backyard fencing project and it is amazing. Stained our fence about 8 years ago in a natural color, but decided on the slate color this time & looks wonderful. Definitely would recommend this product & will be using again in the future. Have attached few pictures to show the color. Now just have to tackle the privacy screen @ the top.

I used this product over an ugly weathered red stain wood fence.I used two coats you cant see any of the old finish, its beautiful and all ready for summer get togethers. I used bleach in a pump sprayer and a garden hose for prep.

I have used it before and would certainly use it again when needed. It covers well and looks great.

Most awesome part was how well two gallons were packed - ordered it to be shipped because of my remote location - held my breath becasue I thought I was going to get a box filled with paint - arrived intact

Not really a stain but an exterior paint.

It took twice as much of stain for the 2150sqft I was trying to cover. I used recommended brushes and rollers. 1000-1500 coverage is too far fetched, unless you spray a thin layer and it is too thick for regular sprayer.I got around 700sqft out of 5 gallons. It is a good stain if you do not plan on doing a very outstanding job. Hopefully it will last 4-5 years. It washes up with soap and water which is a good feature so we will see how it holds up when it rain !

Behr paint did an excellent job on our cedar fences. Covered in one coat and went on easy.Easy clean up with the rollers and paint brushes.

And here's why: It worked fine after we got it fixed. When it arrived it was base white. We had to take it & the receipt to the store & get the gray that was supposed to be in it added to it. If I didn't have my maintenance man who was willing to do this I would have been stuck. I can't even lift the bucket. I was disappointed in the service.

I used this on a fence that had previously been painted. I pressure washed the fence to remove the old paint, but there was still old paint on it that wouldn't come off. This product covered that old paint so well you couldn't tell it was there. Great product!
