I have 2 images I posted one is behr the other is Olympic. Similar product but Olympic is way better for basically the same price. Both pictures are the same shed and both sides were just as dirty. The clean side was the Olympic product.

After removing the stain, I had no idea that the dark spots in the wood could also be removed. This product is EXCELLENT.

Tried another brand with disappointing results. Behr All in One wood and deck cleaner worked exceptionally well. Immediately brought the wood color back. One gallon makes 2 gallons of solution. Sprayed on easily with a backpack sprayer.

Excellent all-in-one cleaner and brightener. Follow instructions and hose well after the stated wait time. Depending to temperature and humidity, wait for wood to completely dry

I was skeptical about the quality since other products cost more, it turned out much better than I expected. Follow the instructions and it will go over well. I needed to do a second round on certain areas that were highly exposed to weather. It does require some elbow grease. The product works well, but you still need to scrub and do a good job cleaning. It doesn’t do it on its own! Overall, happy with it.

Worked great on the deck I just stripped. It will NOT remove mildew or algae embedded in wood grains. It will lighten it, but will not remove it. It will NOT remove stain, you need to strip the stain then use this. Overall it brightened the wood and now the deck is ready for some stain! I did try the other brand and it did not work as well as this. I used 4 gallons for 300 sq ft including railings and was liberal in applying with the pump sprayer.

Used stripper first, then this x Cleaner. It made a huge difference! Follow the instructions, keep it wet. Dark wood is stripper only. Light is stripper and cleaner. We removed an oil based semi-transparent stain.

I used the product at full strength and applied it twice. My decks gets cleaned every year and I expected this product to brighten / remove more of the silver. As you can see the wood is still mostly silver / gray. I used Messmers two step system before and the difference between that product and this one is night and day. If you have a cheap deck (pine) just use dawn soap and bleach and it will do the trick. If you have a hardwood use messmers.

Went to HD to pick up some cleaner for my deck that has not been cleaned in years. The associate suggested this product and guaranteed it would do the job. He was right! I wet down the deck, sprayed the cleaner on not diluted, waited 15 minutes, sprayed on a second coat, waited 15 minutes, then power washed it off. I’m very pleased with the results. I was fortunate that I did it on a cloudy day. If it is sunny I would suggest make sure it doesn’t dry and keep the garden hose close.

I bought a gallon of Behr wood deck cleaner and I bought a gallon of Olympic wood deck cleaner. Each gallon was the exact same price. The reason I bought the Behr was because the Olympic was the last gallon in the store and I needed 2 gallons. I thought it was odd that the Behr instructions said to dilute it to create 2 gallons and Olympic said do not dilute it. I just assumed the Behr product would be equal in quality because of the Behr name. Well, now I know why. By diluting the Behr product it did not clean anywhere near as well as the Olympic. Shame on me for following the directions. I would buy Olympic all the time.

My 30 year old deck was in very bad shape from years of neglect. After replacing over two dozen boards, I used the Behr Premium Wood Stain and Finish Stripper on the red stained (which I hated from day 1) old boards. I applied in with a roller, and followed the instructions and kept it wet by misting with water when it started to dry. After 40 minutes I washed it off with a hose nozzle. I followed that by applying the BEHR Premium Liquid Mold & Mildew Stain Remover, waited 15 minutes, and washed that off. I followed this with my Ryobi pressure washer, with the circular attachment. After all that, I washed it off again with the hoze. I am very happy with the bare wood results. Yes, it is a lot of work, and time consuming. But I would rather do it right than have to do it again any time soon. Don't cut corners, don't try to save money by not buying the stripper. My results speak for themself.

1st timer. 1y/o privacy fence, very weathered, gray. Apply- 50% better. Then Power wash-90% It’s not a bleach like the Mold Armor product, which gave a “faded” look. Behr brought more of a “new” look.

Ok, I was super hesitant about whether or not this would make a difference, but it works great. So pleased. Caution - this does have a chemically scent that was a little overwhelming when we sprayed it, but after waiting 15 minutes as suggested, didnt smell at all. Would absolutely recommend to use!

We used this wood brightener on a cedar fence that is 6 months old. We had a few areas that were already starting to turn a silver gray and it is recommened to use this to prep the wood before staining so we tried it on those areas. Yes, it brightens the wood but what you are left with is a bleached out grey look from the oxalic acid in it. It does NOT restore your wood back to its original color!! I am so glad I didn’t use this on our entire fence because it’s huge and would have been ruined.

Works, just how it says. Easy to use, and got the job done.

Excellent and easy to use. This has removed years of dirt and mildew from a deck that previous owners didn’t care for well. Likely will go back with a second spray, but great product.

Apply as directed. It does not “clean or brighten”. After rinse off with water, when dry, fence looks dull Relatively new fence; 5 months

Looks like a different deck after cleaning it with this. (Sorry, no before picture to show how grungy and moldy it looked before cleaning.)

Read reviews for for composite decks people said it worked and it did not. Followed the instructions. mold spots still there.

It works...really well

"Cleaned" part of my deck with this product, but ran out before I was done. Bought a Valspar product at a competitor. The Valspar product cleanedSO much better. The picture shows where I dripped some of the Valspar onto deck boards I had already "cleaned" with the Behr product. Needless to say, I rewashed the entire deck with the Valspar. Every board, even some old grayish ones, look like brand new. This product couldn't even begin to remove the dirt, with scrubbing, that the Valspar took off easily.

Love the affordability of this product. Now take my review a grain of salt... I had sanded to prepare my bench for staining until I then realized I needed to first use this product in order to apply the behr stain. Well, my bench was super smooth and very pleasant to the touch after sanding and before applying this product, then it became super rough after using the cleaner! Even after sanding it again the wood just felt more rough than before using this product. It still continued to feel bit rough after the stain. Not sure if I did something wrong, maybe used the hose on too high of a setting to rinse? Maybe I didn't have the patience to resend it as good the second time as I did before? Pictures are before and after using the cleanser, the wood really lightened up! In general, seems like a good product. But that's the experience that I had above!

Hello. I am writing this review to let others know how great this product works. I will include before and after pictures. Also, for over 1700 sqft of deck, I only used 4 gallons and mixed with water as directed (4 separate batches). I still have left over in my deck sprayer 2 gallon bottle. When buying a brush to scrub with, I recommend the $7-8 Pool/Deck scrub brush as it did a way better job than the $17 deck scrub brush I bought (It was my first time and I wanted to do a comparison of the brushes). The dark spots in the After image are from the deck still being wet, that is not dirt.

Not sure why all the bad reviews. This deck cleaner worked great for me. Just folllow the directions to the letter. Its a little more work then the Olympic cleaner, but a way better end result.

Just had a new fence built in June. Wanted to wait until fall brought cooler weather to seal it in order to maintain its beautiful natural color. The wood started turning light so the Behr rep in the paint section recommended this product. Not only did it NOT restore the color it made it worse. Now my new fence has this white chalky residue all over it. I followed the directions to a T. Product never got dry while waiting for the 15 min. to pass before scrubbing. Ive rinsed it 3 times with a powerwasher but residue will not come off. It looks great when wet but as you can see in the picture, turns white after drying. 6 hours later, Im at my wits end. So angry!

10+ year old 572 sq ft deck we used 2 gallons of it. Sprayed entire deck, pressured washed it, and wood looks almost brand new. Worth the price and quality of the work.

Worked as advertised. A bit of scrubbing with a stiff brush was required then rinsed the wood off using a garden hose and nozzle set on jet. I was really pleased with the end result! Very good product.

Went by the directions using a garden hose and it didn't even clean half my deck. Tried it a second time at full strength and it was still not much better. Only after using a power washer did all the black dirt come off. Now I am behind with rain in the forecast.
