Very solid vise. Works perfectly for what I intended.

I used it a few times and it does the job I needed to do. I don’t know how heavy duty it is but it does what I need it to do. I bolted to my work bench and it is stable and it is big enough to hold anything I need.

You dont get what your paying for. Not very heavy duty.

Great for home shop use, I am a hobby machinist, the vice works well for me and is well made. I would not use this vice to press bearings in but for work holding, drilling, taping, sawing, layout work it meets my needs.

Function is great and it is very durable. First job we did was u-joints. It made it possible to get the job done.

Capable basic bench vise at a reasonable price. If you are picky, or have important specific requirements, check out the Project Farm review of bench vises on YouTube. Note - one of the first things I did with the vice is open the jaws all the way, to secure a smaller vise in place for some more delicate work. I opened the jaws too far (there was no stop), and the jaws wouldn't close. If this happens to you, resist the temptation to reef on it, and instead use a screwdriver to gently pry the inner slide piece back into the proper channel while closing the jaws, because it gets stuck on a protruding edge.

You can easily eliminate the sliding rod swivel locks on this toy with a couple of 8 X 1.25 x 25mm bolts. (Home Depot does sell these.) If you try to really tighten the originals so the thing won't move when you try to bend something, you will of course use a cheater and then bend the chintzy rods. With bolts or cap screws, you have a chance. The threaded holes in the slip ring on mine weren't even properly tapped, so they need to be cleaned up first.

It's doing what I need it to. I'm quite satisfied.
