I do not write many reveiws so I know by me writing this it has got to be an EXCELLANT product! I have owned one of these (same one) for at least 5 yrs. now and it is still going strong. Just completed cropping a LARGE Jacaranda tree. We took 12ft. plus limbs out and the limbs on some of them were at least 6 to 8 inches in diameter. The only things I would recommend is clean saw after every use and store in its carrier (not sure if it comes with that anymore) and oil it. Have not had to replace chain yet. I would also recommend having at least 3 charged batteries total for a large job. It pays for itself if you think how much it would cost you to hire someone to do it. They wanted $400.- to do what I just completed!!

Bought thos pole saw last year, only used it a few times and while using it for the first time this year, it stopped workimg mid cut and will not work at all now.

After receiving the pole saw I find the unit is heavy and the battery doesn't last long. It certainly doesn't meet my expectations.

NOT telescoping, at least as most people define the word. It's an extension saw. The product details clearly state it's telescoping. It's not. I should have researched more but I wanted this tool (nice that it's sold as a tool-only option) to go w/several other B&D tools, batteries & chargers. It comes in 3 sections. The trigger section & saw section always have to be used. The 3rd section is the optional extension (middle) piece to make the tool longer. I can certainly live with it, but not real pleased. The box arrived half opened at the top & with a big gouge in the side of the box. Luckily, no damage to the saw but seems to be a poor way to ship this tool.

Chain link kept having kick back. Got stuck in branches … ran hot. Battery usage was poor.. only lasted 30 minutes

Exactly what I needed

Product worked as advertised. Easy to assemble and easy to use. My only complaint was that it was too heavy for me to use effectively. I’m a 77 year old male in good health, but item is better suited for a younger person. Unfortunately I had to return the Pole Saw.

The chainsaw is great, it’s not just one length, can by adding or removing sections shorten or lengthen

I purchased the black and decker pole saw mainly because it was light weight. It was a little awkward at first, but once I got the hang of it, worked like a champ. I bought it to trim off small limbs. I cut 3-4 inch ones and had no problems at all. Used it for over ah hour and still had max battery charge. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pole saw that needs to trim up higher limbs and keep control with it being so light weight

I bought this to trim some broken branches I could not reach easily from the ground. It works pretty good but you are limited to the size of the branch by the length of the blade. That said it did the job for me and what I wanted to trim. Worth the money. I already had a battery for it so I did not have to purchase a battery or charger.

We've had this saw for about a year. We used it one day last summer to cut some tree limbs. The chain kept falling off and we had to disassemble and reassemble 5 times. Used it again this week and cut three branches before the chain came loose. Now the part that holds the screw is stripped and we cannot secure the chain. Big waste of money.

Just got this but it worked really well. Cut through 3 inch limbs easily. Not too heavy to maneuver around.

Great tool. I've cut several small trees that were in the way Also cut branches. GREAT TOOL!!

Since I've had this polesaw it has performed really well, buzzes through limbs pretty quickly, I haven't used it with the extension yet. This saw will replace my manual polesaw for good, the blades for manual saws all seem wimpy and flex as well as constantly Getting stuck in the cut.

This is a great product for which I will get lots of use.

I've used this saw a couple times now, and it works really well. When fully extended the pole does flex a bit, so keep that in mind. I'll have to hire an arborist to trim the branches that are way up high, but this allowed me to easily cut down a bunch of lower branches that were too high/thick for me to reach with a ladder and pruner/lopper. It's more convenient than a manual saw, too.

This is my third one. Living on 8 acres with woods I wear them out! They are lightweight, very easy to assemble & handle. I believe it’s the best on the market. Only con: 30 minutes per battery charge. So buy extra batteries!

Too heavy and bulky at full extension

I have had this unit for a month or so now. So far it is doing a great job. All my other cordless stuff is B&D so I didn't want to buy another brand and go thru the hassle of buying other batteries and chargers. This seems to be a good little saw for the money.
