Quick to Brew but coffee ends up tasting burnt
It brews great but the coffee tastes burnt. The same coffee tastes so much better from a regular sized coffee maker. I am not sure if that is because I need a better mesh filter or not. I am disappointed.

    Love the machine, but need help!
    The filter that comes with the product got mold on it/within the mesh because of my roommate leaving coffee grounds in it for over 2 weeks when I was out of town. Is there a way to get a replacement filter?

      Really like it fixed and working for many years
      I am experiencing the same problem with mine. Was working great for awhile and now half of the water is left in the coffee maker. I suspect that it could be either of a few things: the one way check valve is sticking, the heating element is bad, or could have some foreign debris buildup in the water passageway. I use a Yeti twenty ounce stainless steel Rambler/Tumbler with anti-splash lid that fits and works perfect instead of the one that came with it. In fact, the whole thing looks really cool together.

        I am absolutely 100% satisfied with my single serve coffee maker . I bought the same one years ago which recently broke on me . I was excited to be able to purchase the same one just an upgraded version .

        Coffee taste watery
        I'm not sure why but the coffee always taste watery. I had tried the pods and coffee grounds. I use a very dark coffee blend so I know it is not because of the coffee I am using. I assume this is because the water goes through the filter extremely quick compared to a normal multiple cup coffee maker. The moment I pour the water in it, it comes out. If anyone has any advice or know if this is an equipment defect please let me know. I have tried running the coffee through the maker again after I first brew it and it does not make it any stronger. I do like how it is small and convenient so I would like to has this issue fixed if it can be.

            Like this little machine
            Bought this a couple of months ago, and it works well. However, I went back to purchase a spare permanent filter as I have teenagers who aren't known for gentle washing, and I'm worried that they'll put a hole in the mesh. They don't sell them. If the filter gets damaged, I have to buy a new machine. Other brands that have permanent filters sell replacements, why don't you?

              Good for a while
              I am on my 3rd Black and Decker Single Serve Coffee Maker, and I think this will be the last one I purchase. I like that it has a reusable filter and that I can use my own coffee (rather than buying pods). However, the shelf life on this product leaves something to be desired. Each one of the three of these that I have purchased has stopped working properly at around the two year mark. The one I currently have produces so much steam that when the coffee is finished brewing, I am left with about 3/4 a cup of coffee. I have continued to purchase the product, despite knowing it will stop functioning, because when it is working it makes a good cup of drip coffee. I will look for a new model or brand next time.

                After a month, it does NOT work properly
                It looked really cute and convenient in the store counter and I bought it, but after using it once a day for a month or so, the water is not filtered completely and it is not even hot enough, so I have to start it twice. I loved the size and the practicality but it is not good without a proper functionality.

                  Defective.
                  I'm bummed - I had one of these for years and it worked great!! I used it everyday so I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. Once that one stopped working, I got a new one. I've only had it for a few months and it never brews a full cup of coffee!! Ever! I'm very disappointed - I wish I had my old trusty coffee maker back.

                    Excellent product. I use it daily.
                    I bought this a few years ago to replace a much older B&D model (a "water fill to the top" with coffee basket under the tank, where the basket was worn out). This model ran flawlessly up to a few months ago. Now I have to re-start it once or twice to complete my coffee. The cup it comes with gets cold too fast so I bought a Thermos(RT) model H1005 that exactly fits the coffee maker. From what I can see, there must be a build up of "stuff" from hard water that is causing the need to restart lately. I am not sure what can be used to clean that out. I tried 10:1 water and vinegar and 10:1 bleach. Nojoy.

                      Stopped working after a few months
                      I have had this coffee maker for a few months. Was working fine, except splashes coffee on the counter when brewing. This past week it stopped brewing half way through the cycle. Every morning I have to restart the maker a 2nd time to finish brewing. Disappointed.

                          I love the coffee maker. Coffee gets very hot... PERFECT... The only problem I have and it is npt really a problem is that the insulated cup is not so insulated. It gets too hot to hold. I just switched and got another insulated cup. Problem solved.

                          I bought my coffee maker 3 years ago. I use it every day at least 4 times a day. It is reliable and consistent. I use regular coffee grounds so it is economical and I get fresh brewed coffee instead of coffee that has been sitting. I would never pay for those little pod things. I am going to buy another B&D just as backup.

                            Cheap piece of plastic
                            If you like this coffee maker the best idea would be to buy two of them. Mine didn't even last a month and when I called the manufacturer I was told to cut the end off the cord get a money order for $7.50 mail it to them and then wait 2 to 3 weeks for replacement. All in all not a bad coffee maker but their warranty is a bunch of bull

                              I bought the single serve coffee maker just before Christmas and picked it up Dec 28th. I am very pleased with it. I like that it doesn't store water. I just put in the amount of water and coffee for my cup and coffee in less than a minute. I also like the size - it doesn't take up much space on the counter. So far it is great.

                              Very reliable. It is always in my suit case...

                                Very good product until lately
                                Hadthe product for about seven months and it worked well until lately. The water does not empty completely and I have to restart a couple of times to get a complete cup. Thought it was a case of it's dirty, but seems to be a product defect. Not a heavy coffee drinker, so I don't know why its not working so early.

                                    Great little coffee maker except for the mug.
                                    I bought several of these for myself and family members. They work fine except the mugs leak and if you put them in the dishwasher on the top shelf they get water in between the outer and inner liners. They get the water inside even if you put them in the sink in water and try to wash them. They also drip when you try to drink from them. Had to purchase other mugs to use because of this. Would be a great idea if they would fix this issue and provide all stainless mugs that didn't have plastic inside

                                      I've had mine for about a year now...I use it every day and no problems I LOVE that it makes a strong hot LARGE cup of coffee. It's better than the flexbrew or keurig that I tried plus less expensive PLEASE PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE!!!!

                                        Great to take on vacation
                                        I bought this model for taking on vacations where there is no coffee pot. But even if I had a pot in the room, I still use this. So many times I just wanted hot water and used the hotel coffee pot and it came out brown. Also it is small size and it travels well.

Then I use a 12 cup machine but during the week I can make fresh coffee every morning and not reheat something. If I need more in the AM, just make another FRESH cup.                                             Grounds coming through filter
                                            I just bought the CM618 today, trying to stop using k-cups. I put loose coffee into the filter and brew it into my own ceramic mug and TONS of grounds come through the filter into the coffee? Can this machine be used ONLY with the travel mug that came with it? Or with a special kind of coffee? Help!

                                              Fantastic coffee....for a while
                                              Price is right & it made better coffee than a Keurig...till it died 9 months after purchasing. Cleaned with vinegar & water a few times but it didn't seem to make a difference. I miss it!

                                                BEWARE ALL. I have been buying one cup machines for about 10 years now. One craps out but a new one. Well I leave mine plugged in. That won't happen anymore. They TURN ON by themselves. Getting a wake up call at 2am from my coffee pot being on is not cool. & the machine is ridiculously hot.
