[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so happy with this Yard Gard, it has so many setting for all your pest needs. Plus you can use C Batteries or plug it in, the cord is really nice and super long. I figured I would try it out on Mosquito's (insect) setting. Let's face it we all have mosquitoes and they are a huge pest and problem. Putting this Yard Gard in my horse barn was a huge help fly spray for my horses has tripled in the past couple years so any help is a huge help. I put this in my barn and I am in awe at how well it works keeping all the biting bugs off my precious horses without having to spend tons of money on chemical sprays. Them in the winter months I can't wait to switch it over to rodent to see all the mice disappear. The set up on this is practically None! It has notched holes with anchor's and screws if you want to hang it up our of the way. You have the option for battery use or it comes with a plug in so it can be worry free. I honestly can't say enough about how much I LOVE IT! Buy a barn buddy today!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this on the end of my garden bed. It has been out there for a few weeks and it seems to be working! It definitely keeps the birds away, you can see them fly away all crazy if they get too close. You do need to play with the dial a little to get it right. If it’s set too low, the sound is piercing. It doesn’t seem to bother my dog which is important. I’ve already recommended this to a few people.

The yard guard seemed to have worked for a week or so, but after that, they were back and acted like it didn’t bother them. My outside cats however, didn’t like it at all. I think it’s a great idea, but maybe needs some tweaking.

It does have an electric option and does come with a long cord but my garden is pretty far from my house. So far I haven’t had any intruders trying to get into the garden with this up. Usually chipmunks or other small animals get in under the fence and eat everything they can. Since I’m in Pa we still have another week or so until I can transplant my baby plants to the garden but I am optimistic that no one will be eating my cantaloupes, zucchini or pumpkins this year!! Once I got batteries it was easy to install on a post of the fence.

This is made with a hard plastic with a rubber backing to easily remove to set the setting, add batteries, and to plug in, the rubber backing made it so much easier to mount. This has several different settings for you to set for different kinds of animals. It has a ultrasound wave that you can’t hear and is safe on dogs. It helps to repel mice, squirrels, birds, rabbits, skunks, deer, mosquitoes, flies and many more species. So far l have been using it for 3 weeks and I have only seen a few birds, and it has not bothered my dog, and I have it turned up all the way. The ultrasound waves reach up to 4000 feet. So, so far it looks like I’m going to have a nice summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked! We had a raccoon making a home in our barn next to the chicken coop and I haven't seen it around since starting this product up. It's a good size to put in any area of the barn. We moved it around a few times to make sure all corners were experiencing the noise. I'm anticipating good results when we set to mosquitoes in the summer since my son is allergic!

We have a mole problem and this is helpful and while it doesn’t rid you of 100% of the critters I prefer safe options like this rather than using chemical based products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally, a product that actually works!! We moved into our new home a few months ago and have had a massive issue with voles digging out lawn up. It has been hard to find something that is pet friendly but actually works. I really like that the yard guard is durable, has a frequency you can increase or decrease as needed, and is easy to clean. It was very easy to install on our deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. We are working on building a garden so this came at a perfect time. It’s both electric and battery operated. The new garden is further from the house so this is great. It’s easy to hang with the tools that it came with. And it’s safe to have outside. We get lots of deer at night all around our land and this seems to have helped keep them out of the garden area. I will continue to monitor and see. It’s easy to adjust for the different animals and to turn off and on.

If you are looking for something to protect your garden or home from unwanted creatures, this is a great product to try.

It’s weatherproof and motion activated! It’s perfect for our garden. I was initially worried about compatibility with our dogs and/or the wild birds that visit our feeder. However, it is safe for pets AND birds!

Purchased this item to help repell the numerous amounts of rabbits that I get in my front yard that consume my grass all year long. I was looking for a humane way to take care of this and this looked like a perfect way. Unfortunately it did not work. The rabbits continued to eat my grass literally right in front of the unit. They didn’t even activate it but it went off when I walked up to it. So I will have to give it a “thumbs down” and return it. My next step, artificial grass!

I bought this bird-x yard guard ultrasonic animal repellent to stop annoying cats from setting my alarm off at ridiculous times in the morning. I have not seen a sign of a cat or anything else since I've installed this product. I love this product so much that my father-in-law purchased 4 of them after I told him of my results. I installed all 4 of his for him, and he also has gotten the same results as I. No more predators no more problems. We use ours through the electrical connection rather than on batteries, for full and consistent strength. I believe in this product so strongly that I could do a commercial for them.

It took 3 weeks for this repeller to have any effect on the rats that invaded our garden. The rats were destroying our plants, repeatedly trying to build a nest in our BBQ grill, running across our feet when we were outside (yikes!), and chewing big holes in our fence. The rats were coming from our neighbors’ yard — they have a rat nest on their side of the fence between our yards, and they refuse to do anything about it (!). We took multiple, multiple measures to address the rat problem, including 2 of these repellers placed back to back in the middle of our yard. Like mentioned in other reviews, the cover on the back of these repellers is useless, it doesn’t stay in place — we prop the back covers in place with a rock. We placed it on a patio side table, which is about 2’ off the ground. We only power it w AC, we haven’t used the battery option. Anyway, it seems like these repellers are helpful, as after 3 weeks of use the rats are coming in to our garden less often. These repellers are worth a try.

Picked up the Yard Gard at Home Depot on last April 17, 2018 and installed the device on the next day few inches above the ground with wooden enclosure (see pic below). It did really works specially for the neighbor's and other dogs, cat and squirrel that came in the yard and along the street. But unfortunately on April 21 the thief took the Yard Gard around 5:44AM according to the security video info. The incident was already reported to the police and still under investigation. I wish I could add a photo to win a $1000 and purchase 2 more Yard Gard. The picture below shown the empty Yard Gard box, Wooden enclosure and the transformer with broken power cord. The device was very easy and simple to setup. Could be better if GPS technology can be added in the device to track down the thief if stolen.

I have been struggling with bats under my tile roof for the past year. I've had exterminators out. I've had the roof re-tarred to no success. Finally, I tried this product, Yard Gard, and it " worked "! I'm amazed.......... If you have a " bat problem ", definitely try this product.

Had this thing on full blast on the bat setting and a bat flew right above it and went to sleep

Probably a good omen ,, The day I received my "critter getter" I had set it up next to my desk just to adjust intensity , adjust critter range and check motion sensor , and then unplugged it. Later I was watching a youtube clip and heard a scratching sound , turned down my volume and determined I had an opportunity to give it a live test. Reached over - plugged it in. WITHIN 15 SECOND THE WOOD CHIPPER HAD ENOUGH AND HAVENT BEEN BACK FOR DAYS. INCIDENTLY: I had unplugged my unit that same night!!!!! I've got it set up in where I had originally needed it for squirrel attack and haven't heard from my (former) quest , its been a week !!

I bought this product to keep stray cats from using my outdoor furniture as their bed. Ever since I put the yard guard the cats have not come back.

I just bought my second YardGuard. This one lasted about 4 years. I had just put in about 9 baskets of lily pads in the fish pond and the next morning three were turned upside down. A quick check of my YardGuard and I found it was dead for some reason. I didn't think of it earlier but next year I am going to hang YardGuard in my cherry tree during cherry time and aim it towards the fish pond.. There was very little bird damage even though the YardGuard was not aimed at the tree.

Didn’t work for stray cats.

This works great to keep rodents out of the yard , for 2 years. After 2 years it doesn’t work anymore. I have gone through 2 of these.
