Had the router for about four or five days and had to return the router. The router was defective, it could not lock any router bits in place.

Worst mistake I've made in a while. Making adjustments, changing bits, requires three hands. It is almost impossible to hold on without wobling, tilting and is useless for making blood grooves in a cutting board.

Excellent router, very well made, good power.

I bought it for mortising hinges onto new door slabs. It worked great! The built in LED lights let me keep working outside once the sun went down. I’ve had it for just 2 weeks, used it to do 6 doors. But I will be using it on other projects to round over and chamfer edges.

Purchased the Bosch & similar model Dewalt both 1 1/4 hp. Really wanted to keep the Bosch because of longer cord, included box,& edge guard. However, the Bosch base plate is smaller than the Dewalt & I found more difficult to control on edge roundovers. The Dewalt base plate squared on one end. I preferred that for control. Fine depth adjustment on the Dewalt I found to be better. The Bosch was more difficult to use. Both great routers, I kept the Dewalt, returned the Bosch.

The Bosch palm sander works great nice and compact. Comes with everything u would need. Well worth the money.

my first palm router. powerful motor and feels good in hand. speed ramps up in about a second or two by design so it doesn't kick at startup. the quick adjustment works real nice and easy. the fine adjustment is what i would expect. a little stiff to turn, but not too much. i expect this is to keep it in place when locked in. if you adjust a lot then you may want to go into the store and feel it. the guide attachment is fine, but nothing more and can be very difficult to pull from the case.

Another Bosch tool that exceeds my expectations; better still when one can find a deal on them.

Have used this router so far to help size and flush trim an MDF workbench top. Extremely easy to use and accurate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this several months ago and it was a good investment. The LED light illuminates the bit, making it easier to follow the cut as it is made. The edge guide is a great plus. And the 1.25 HP motor has plenty of power for this rugged palm router. You can store it neatly in the carrying case that's included in this kit.

Works great, solid, nice to use but the spindle lock is useless. The pin isn’t long enough to stop the spindle moving with just a little pressure on the wrench

This router is very well made. Solid, yet fits my hand nicely. It has a fairly nice edge guide attachment, too.

From trimming sheathing out of window openings to trimming edge banding and laminate this router does it all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The router works well and is user friendly except for adjusting the cutting depth. I can not get the depth, fine, adjustment to function properly. I can get it to decrease the depth but if I try to adjust it for a deeper cut it just clicks, like it's stripped, and does not move.

excellent for rounding over, beading and flush trim bits. Because of its handy size it has ample support for routing edges of boards and also plenty of power for its size.

I was replacing a number of doors in my new home and I had to route 3 hinge mortices on each. I knew my existing Bosch 1617EVSPK could easily do the job, but I also knew it is really heavy. I decided to get the right tool for the job. At 4.25 lbs. the Bosch 1.25 HP Colt router was light enough to handle with one hand at awkward angles. I made the right choice. With the 1.25 HP Colt I breezed through those doors in no time at all. I am now considering doing some decorative routing on a set of built in cabinet doors. I've decided that the Colt will be my go to tool for hand routing projects and the 1617 will be installed into a routing table for heavier jobs. Good routing all.

This little, handheld router was an incredible tool. We were replacing bifold doors with two panel slabs in several closets in our home, and with the help of a template kit, the mortises came out absolutely perfect using this router. I couldn’t have done the work with my regular two-handed plunge router. I would definitely recommend it for small and intricate work.

It’s a great tool. Plenty of power.
