Bosch Daredevil bits - Excellent performance
Just opened the package and started using them. I didn’t know spade bits could be this good. I so glad I bought them.

Absolute garbage
Probably the worst purchase I’ve ever made. Although they were only $16, they made a somewhat easy project impossible. The screw tip is really great for starting but once it grabs, it isn’t controllable enough to make your project look nice. It tears the wood and doesn’t make a clean hole with a hand drill. I’m sure it would be great in a press where the amount of power isn’t an issue but with a hand drill it wasn’t possible. I wouldn’t wish these on anyone and I threw all of them in the trash

The DareDevil spade bits have a full cone threaded tip so the bit will pull itself into the wood. These bits are design for rough carpentry. Took them back
I only needed one bit that was the size of 1/2 conduit and and 18mm to go through oak. I put the bit in my drill press and as soon as the bit touched the test board it grabbed it due to the screw type tip and ripped it out my hand. Never happened with "normal" blades. I then use vice grips to hold it secure and and it dug itself in very fast. I did not have control. I then used the oak and split my board in half. Took them back immediately and got the "Normal" buts that worked as expected. Way better control. Home owner would have been seriously upset if I cracked they 100 year old stair tread.

Hi there! The DareDevil Spade Bits has a full cone threaded tip so the bit will pull itself into the wood. These bits are design for rough carpentry.
