Quiet and very effective. Cut my sanding time by half and the final product looks great.

Heads Up: Mirka Mesh Abrasive Dust Free Sanding Discs fly off. I've had to cement a more aggressive "hook" tape to existing pads. Other than that it's a great value and well made.

I bought the Bosch ROS20VS to replace an old random orbital sander that I could no longer control during sanding. I don’t know what was wrong with it, but it was easy to tell it’s had its day. So, I was particularly excited to get this new sander. The bottom line is that it’s really nice to use. I find the Bosch easy to control and relatively quiet, and best of all, it does a really nice job of sanding, leaving very few sanding marks on the surface of the wood. The little dust collector attachment seems to work well, but it’s a pain to remove and clean it. An adapter comes with the Bosch so you can hook it up to a wet/dry vac, but my vac has a large (2.5”) hose, and the adapter looks like it’s for a 1.25’ or 1.5” hose, so I haven’t use it. Overall, a nice addition to my workshop.

I purchased this sander to replace my Ryobi 1/4 sheet sander. I found the unit to be well balanced and powerful. It operates smoothly with almost no vibration. Very little dust when uzing 80 grit paper to sand pine stock. To my surprise the bag included an adapter to attach my shop vac hose directly to the sander. When used in this configuration there was ZERO dust created. The vercro held sanding pads firmly with no slipping. This is the best sander i've ever used!

The Bosch sander was very smooth and it allowed me to produce an even surface on a kitchen table that I am refinishing. I have only used it for one project so far but I expect to get much more use out of it. I am also considering purchasing the extra soft backing pad to refinish some chairs that have curved surfaces. The included dust collection worked very well.

Quality sander at a great price. The stock dust collection is superior to anything else I've seen/used on a random orbit. Very smooth start up and shut down with minimal vibration while in use.

After a few uses, the sander started hopping around on the piece of wood I was sanding. Short time later, the backing pad completely fell off. Turns out the mounting screw backed out during use. Remounted the pad, but after a few more uses, the screw started backing out again. I threw the piece of junk in the garbage. My Ridgid Sander was 10x more durable.

Quieter. Much easier on the arms. Variable speed excellent!

Sander works as expected but website won't accept model number when trying to register it.

I love this sander. It works fantastic and has a good amount of power. The sawdust catcher works well too. I would by it again.

Huge upgrade over my old black and decker orbital sander at the same price point. This is the best you can get without getting into the $300+ professional sanders.

One thing I really like about this sander is the size. It's very ergonomic and comfortable to use. My only complaint is the power switch was a little stiff. I've used it a few times in the past month and it was a pleasure to use

I've used Makita, and Ryobi and this Bosch is definitely much better on your hand.

I do like the soft start and variable speed control. The cons that it is very underpowered and the dust collection is a joke ! It breaks easily and clogs alot too. My old Skil sander lasted for 8 years and was very reliable until the end. Don't believe the so-called experts. Don't buy this sander.

I loved it. I should brought this tool at the first day of my renovation work in my home. The second room sanding was the way more better than the first room.

Overall, this sander works very well for what I needed it for, which was to refinish an armoire. I'm an old lady, so the fact that it is fairly lightweight helps. I like the stick-on sanding discs which makes changing them out easy. Now we get to the part I don't like! It has a snap-on sawdust catcher which is the pits! It does catch a lot of sawdust, but certainly not all of it. I find it extremely difficult to get on and off (I'm not a big strong man!) My hands and wrists are sore after a day of using this sander, just from trying to get the sawdust chamber off and on, and then getting the lid open. It is all very tight. This is a real design flaw. There should be release buttons for this purpose rather than having to use muscle power to take it apart. And most of the sawdust gets dumped on the floor while I'm wrestling to get it open! Thank goodness I won't have to use it very often, and maybe will have forgotten how difficult it is the next time I need to use it! I do like the bag it comes with!

The vacuum feature works well and this was the smoothest sanding I've had yet (tried an orange brand and another blue brand).

The sander works great. I am refinishing a teak dining table and the sander made quick work of getting the table set for teak oil finishing. The storage bag included was a plus.

Easy to use for a non-professional, first time user. Good filter!

This was my second Bosch sander, my first the sander was like a Cadillac, absolutely loved it but after about a week the dust canister started to fall off so I bought this model and like I said in my title, I must've gotten a dud because it seems like the dust collection doesn't work at all and clogged my pads in no time, ran SUPER hot like almost too hot to use and vibrated like crazy. Hate to leave a negative review but I'm just being honest. Will try again one day when new models come out
