I purchased a couple orders of this maple S4S and it was just fine for cabinet face-frame building. Like any wood, sometimes you get some twists or bowing, and there was some minor amount of that in a couple pieces, but overall it was a decent product. Most of the time all I had to do was sand the edge side to remove some minor planing marks.

I purchased this Maple board for a specific reason. It was packaged very good. I didn't unwrap it until I was going to use it expecting the board to be what the add said it was. When I did unwrap it I was surprised to see that at least 12 inches on one end wasn't surfaced and tapered down from 4" to about 3". In the center of the board was a knot about 2" around with tear out all around it. The board wasn't usable for the purpose I had in mind.

This is my third order from this supplier. I have not been disappointed and plan on making more purchases. Delivery and packaging were great.

This was my second order from this company and both times the product was perfect. I expected a little warping or serious flaws in the wood but neither materialized. Just placed my third order. Looking forward to it. Without actually hand selecting lumber myself, I don’t expect perfection but I doubt if I could have done much better if I had selected it.

Purchased 6 pieces 1x2x8’. Significant warping on 3 boards, inconsistent width between boards, and 1 board had a side with a raw edge. Product OK for trim, but expect some waste. Would not recommend for furniture construction.

Other than the little bow, it was fine.

Severe bending and deformation!

Good but not perfect. some boards were half green, Its a good thing they were tp be painted after sanding out the board "snipe" and Planer blade chatter marks.

Not hard maple. Not clear. Red or swamp maple at best, dark sapwood, knot structurally weakened the board to the point of breaking. Very poor quality. Junk.

I expected clear hard maple. This was red or soft maple with too much very dark figure completely covering the wood. I couldn’t use it and returned it.

OK, but some really rough spots I could not sand out enough for finish side. Also, why stick on label I can't peel off without glue remaining????

When buying wood unseen you get what they give you. For the most part the pieces were useable. But there some areas of the board that were not

The wood was NOT as promised. It was not planed properly and still had x’s marked over the rough areas needing planing at the factory. Very sad. Fortunately I had my own planer to bring it to build ready standards.

The maple 1x2 was straight and the grain was good, but the surface and edges had some planer chatter marks requiring sanding.

This wood. Delivered straight. Nice grade of maple. For me demininishly it was the right width and thickness for the project I did. Having it deletveref save me from having to get, but it took longer than i thought. The wood did not come from local store. But across country. I would order it again. Keeping in mind the lead time for delivery.

I ordered 4 lengths of Maple board for a furniture project. Unfortunately, 2 of them were bowed and warped - totally unusable!

I had a bit of apprehension about ordering this sight unseen because we normally look through several boards before finding just the right one, and the one we received was great. Thank you!
