I wanted a really steady stand that wouldn’t blow over in a gust of wind, and this one certainly looks like it will withstand a gust.

This umbrella base is a waste of money. The pipe post attaches with a 3/8” stud that won’t support any umbrella. It’s wheels are useless because there’s a warning label not to use the post to move the base…The design is defective and Home Depot should remove this item from future sales!

Hello Wayne, thank you for taking the time to leave a review on our umbrella base. The reason we do not recommend using the pole to tilt back the base is because the pole is designed to hold the umbrella pole. Pulling down on the base tube can result in damaging the interior threading of the base pole and causing the umbrella to tilt or not sit right. It is highly recommended to not use the pole to tilt the base rather to manual tilt the base onto the wheels

If you don't want to use a table to help hold up your umbrella this base is the answer. I have it next to my hot tub and the umbrella doesn't go anywhere even in a fairly strong breeze.

Looks nice and is very solid. Bought it for my 9' umbrellas because it's difficult to find 90lb umbrella bases (the rule I read was 10lbs for every foot of width for your umbrella). We haven't used much yet, but it did tip over once with the umbrella open and tilted. I'm curious to see if it's heavy enough for regular use this summer but I thought this was a good value for the weight.

Simple assembly. Looks good with low profile. solid base supports our 10 ft market umbrella on gusty days. Rollers don’t work very well on pavers.

I chose this stand for it's weight and it's wheels....the wheels could have been a bit larger to keep from scraping the deck while moving but all in all I'm happy with it. We have some pretty high winds that come unexpectedly and it has done it's job!

with big print on the box as well as on the product it states that you void the warranty by moving the wheeled contraption by tilting the umbrella and rolling to a new location. Obviously they have been overwhelmed by warranty claims because the unbrella stand gets broken by using it as obviously intended. The weak point should be reinforced so it does NOT break when moving it the way it was originally intended.

Does not weigh 75 lbs
This is my second review on this umbrella stand. I initially had an issue with the warnings about not lifting by the pole to move the umbrella around but it's a nice looking stand and seemed like it would work so I kept the two I bought. However, when one of my umbrellas fell over I decided to weigh the stands. Both weighed the same but not 75 lbs. I measured 60 lbs on one scale and 64 lbs on a different scale so I returned both stands.

useless wheels
I specifically bought this because it has wheels so it would be easy to move around. Unfortunately it has warnings saying you can't use the tube or umbrella to lift it onto the wheels. What good are wheels if you can't tilt the base onto them by pulling on the umbrella pole?

Two Issues
There is no handle to safely adjust the location of the base without trying to worm your fingers under the 75lb unit.
Additionally the thread to safely hold the umbrella in place (prevent it from turning) are stripped and useless.
