[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased three Clopay doors and absolutely LOVE them. What an improvement in our home. I recommend Clopay to anyone looking for garage doors, they have a great selection and are very affordable.

I was going to buy the "good" rated door to save some money but ended up buying this door which is rated "better", and I'm so glad I did! If you're on a budget I recommend spending a little more and get this door. This door wasn't that much more money and it was worth it. It has a nice amount of insulation, making it feel more solid. It also has a metal skin on the inside instead of just the exposed insulation, which gives it a much cleaner look and will make it easier to clean in the future. It's not even cold outside yet but we can tell our garage is much better sealed and will be warmer this winter. This was the first time I have installed an overhead door so it took a while to do, but the instructions were very good.

Top panel does not close tight to net panel - leaves a gap.

Solid, quality construction, beautiful appearance.

I have a 15 year old house and recently have had problems with the front plastic window grilles breaking, snapping. The door itself has never been a problem and held up quite well. I emailed customer service the serial # on the gargage door and unfortunately they stated this particular model was discontinued. However they had some of the old stock remaining and sent me four grilles (2 right side and 2 left side) free of charge. They arrived within days and fit perfectly. Not often do you come across someone that goes the extra mile but this is exactly what happened with the representative at Clopay. I will definitely consider Clopay for all my future garage doors and entry door needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house had 1970s doors that where rotting and looked like junk. Due to covid19, I have been off work and had some time finally to get some home DIY projects done and this was on the top of the list. The doors were easy to self install, if your a do it yourself person.. you will have no problems with these. I did 2 7x8 doors by myself, removed the old heavy-rot and replaced them in one day. Also added weather seals to top and sides for a better seal and painted.

My garage door with so old and I know I needed to replace it. I never imagine that of new garage door without windows could be so beautiful. I am extremely pleased

Just got our new replacement door installed this week. What a difference! We tend not to notice how tired and worn some things look when we see them age slowly over time. That was the case with our old door. The new door really freshened up the look of the house.

These doors were easy to install and came with all the parts nessesary to complete the job. We replaced wood doors and I’m impressed with how quiet the new metal doors are

The door was fairly easy to assemble. I did not have someone to help so bracing the parts during assembly was done with large fairly heavy boxes. I did not like using the nails to hold the panels in place again large boxes took care of this issue. The DVD and instructions were very good. Some of the holes did not line up with pre drills so this did take some careful drilling. One mistake I made was to install the outside handle. With a power door it is not necessary and on hind sight I would leave it out next time. With a partner to help it would have made the job a lot easier. Overall the door came out nice. The windows look much better than all solid panels. The strip at the bottom was distorted in packaging so light comes in on both sides at the bottom when down. I am going to give it a little more time to see if it will settle. I am happy with the door for the price I paid.

I bought two of these doors from Home Depot, replacing the original doors I installed when the garage was built 30yrs ago. These doors are of reasonably good quality for the money, if you get them on sale. If I had paid full price, the Value rating would have been lower. The Quality issues I found were ... 1) Both door kits were short four (4) of the Track Bolts & Nuts; I opened a support case with Clopay to send the ones missing. 2) The hinges are stamped from sheet metal of insufficient gauge considering the weight of the doors; I'll be monitoring them closely in case a warranty claim is needed. 3) The top hinge mount hole (of the bottom two holes on the #2 hinges) is too close to the hinge pivot, making it necessary to use a wrench rather than a socket to screw them in. 4) On a couple of the windows, the rubber seals between the glass could have been better placed; See photo. 5) The plastic lift handles are a disappointment, first because they're smallish (grabbing them with gloves on will be an issue) and second because I question how they'll hold up in cold weather should you get too close with a snow shovel. 6) The top tracks bow just a bit while the doors are in the open position, again due to insufficient metal gauge. 7) For the EZ-Set Torsion Spring System, the set screws in the Set Cone are too long. The problem is if the door is opened too quickly, causing the torsion tube assembly (and therefore the Set Cone) to wobble, the set screws strike and damage the door opening header; see photo. And yes, the torsion bar was assembled, and sheet metal screws tightened, properly; this is a design error, not incorrect assembly. 8) Lastly, there is a fairly significant gap between two of the door panels on one end on one of the two sets of doors. However, I suspect this was minor damage caused during shipping. We'll see if these doors last as long as the ones I replaced ...

The insulation should help keep the temps down in our humid summer heat. I do wish that some handles had been included for the bottom of the door to assist in opening and closing. Small nit, very happy with these garage doors!

After waiting for over a month for the Door to show up in Abilene, I picked up the order & took it home, and framed out the opening for the door & then unloaded from my truck & unpacked it, only to learn they had shipped the wrong door. I spent the rest of the night repacking the door & took it back to the Abilene store for a refund. I'll never buy anything like that at Home Depot again.

They lasted for over 27 years. When it came time to replace we went with Clopay Classic Steal and they look and function great!
