I always get compliments on this cooler for its retro look. But more importantly, it does its job well, and due to being steel-belted is sturdy to sit on. It is my go to cooler to take on road trips, as it fits nicely in the back seat of my RAV4 for access to cold snacks and drinks. It doesn't keep ice for as long as an Rtic or Yeti, but will more than do the job for a beach day or weekend camping trip.

TBH - I was nervous to order the cooler due to all of the negative reviews about the latch. After careful consideration and checking other brands, I decided to just give this cooler a shot. I'll really only be using it for backyard bbq's and the like...won't be super hard on it and probably will hardly ever actually lock the thing. Knowing the Coleman brand and that the MUCH less expensive coolers keep my drinks cold throughout a party, I'm sure this will be juuuuuust fine. I love the vintage styling...when you spend time on your garden, hanging edison bulb strings lights, keeping the patio clean, choosing nice patio furniture - why mess it up with an eyesore of a cooler that EVERYONE will be using when you have company? Maybe if you're having a rager of Natty Ice, you can get by with a cheaper cooler, but if you're doing a craft beer and infused sparkling water, toss 'em in a nice cooler like this one!

Perfect for a hot day to keep everything you need cold. Takes forever for the ice to melt.

Really like the vintage look of it and thats why I picked it over a Yeti or some other newer brands. Holds ice really well and I use it to rest my BBQ in. Big problem is the durability of some aspects. The latch itself is made of metal and no problem there but the part of the latch on the top of the cooler is a cheap plastic!? My cooler is a little over two years old with normal use and the top no longer stays closed. Disappointed it didn't last longer.

After six months of owning the cooler it started leaking from the bottom. Seems like the seal between the bottom section and body has split and water leaks out of it. Tried taking it back to the store but they wouldn't replace it. Had to throw it away, what a waste.

I have had this cooler for 4 years. I have a Jeep with zero air conditioning or air flow so I need this daily in our typical humid New Jersey summers. I'd return my black steal belted cooler if I could. I would get a Coleman Marine Cooler instead. This steel belted cooler looks nice, but the paint is already rusting 4 years after very moderate use. The exterior dents easily. The ice retention is 2.5 days at the most. Thank goodness there's a drain. This was an impulse buy that I regret. If I'd have done the research I'd have gotten something else. Just because this looks good doesn't means it performs well. Goodluck everyone.

This cooler works perfectly for my family on our weekend camping trips. I wanted a larger sized cooler for drinks, so the kids wouldn’t have to go in and out of the camper all day. This is a solid cooler, no issues, keeps ice well beyond the weekend. I get so many compliments on it too!

I purchased this because I wanted sturdy hinges and latch. I use only for Lake pLowell trips 3-4 times a year so maybe 10 uses and the latch catch in the cover has come out and now lost.

i now have 2 of these coolers they do not hold ice any longer then 2-3 day one of them the latch is loose the 2nd leaks from the drain plug for the cost of these coolers i should have bought a different brand live and learn i guess

Love this cooler! We have had this for 3 years and it still is in amazing condition. The powder blue retro look is awesome. The cooler keeps things cold and ice stays in this well. It’s nice to see there are coolers that are as technically pleasing and keeps things cool. The Yeti that everyone loves is honestly hideous.

Nice cooler but the latch isn't secure at all. Ice retention was OK. A couple of bags of cubed ice lasted around 36 hours in warm weather.

This would be a good cooler for a day trip but I don’t recommend it for camping. Ice doesn’t stay cold/frozen for more than a half day in warmer temperatures. Also dents easily.
