I bought six 1/2" 2' x 8 unfinished sheets and had them delivered to my lake home in the woods of northern MI to build a slat wall in our kitchen and a surround for a refrigerator.. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wood and the incredible convenience of having it delivered. I am going to order more to cover walls in a large upstairs bedroom. To me the delivery makes this is very good value given I don't have to handle except to finish it and put it up on the walls.

I ordered 1 sheet of the 1/2 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. Europly Walnut Plywood. The plywood was packaged and shipped to my doorstep without any damage. This is high quality hardwood and heavier than expected. This came with with no voids on the exposed edges. I cut this in half without any chipping. Not sure I'm liking the wood grain on the one side of the panel, big light and dark spaces compared to the smooth side. I'm making shelves out of this. I'm cutting out cats on this wood for shelves for my cats. You can see where I drew them on the back side of the wood.

The 1/2 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. Europly Walnut Plywood Project Panel is a cabinet grade / furniture grade plywood with clean and consistent laminations. This plywood is sanded smooth on the face and has veneer laminated edges that are visually striking due to the uniformity. Each layer of veneer is clear with very few minor voids around the edge. The plywood was adequately packaged and shipped to my doorstep without issue. It is also urea formaldehyde-free.

I build a lot of small, custom cabinets and furniture, but finding quality hardwood in our rural area is a huge challenge. There are no fine hardwood stores nearby, so to find plywood project panels via Home Depot is a tremendous benefit. These aren't typical “big box” project panels though: they are fashioned with hardwood veneer on one side (walnut in this case) and birch veneer on the other – perfect for boxes/cabinets where the inside needs to be light-colored. Built on many plys of birch as the core, with no voids inside, exposed edges can be left uncovered for a decorative touch (see photo). The plain-sliced walnut veneer is 1/50” thick, more than enough to cut without chipping and sand lightly for final finishing. It's beautiful walnut too, with great contrast and good figure. Since it's mail-order and ship-to-home, I don't get to pick the grain I want and shipping fees add up, but it's worth the convenience for small projects. It's like finding a hidden treasure! I'll be buying some of the other hardwood Europly panels in short order!

This panel had nine or ten laminations which increases strength and dimensional stability and the grain is very attractive. Looks more like glued up boards than plywood. Worth the extra price if you need the strength.

Returned color is way off what is shown in advertisement.

The Euro Ply is great. And the Walnut side is perfect.

The product is excellent but one of the custom cuts was 1/16" too short versus my requested cut specification making the piece useless for my vintage stereo tuner restoration project.

This plywood is beautiful. Customer service at the manufacturer was super helpful when the custom cut form on Home Depot website would not work for me. It’s a bit pricey for half sheet but for small crafts the finish is gorgeous. I routed the edges and applied a couple coats of tung oil. I wish I could upload pics.

The walnut grain veneer on the plywood is beautiful and it worked well for my project. It is a bit on the expensive side for the size though.

Material arrived nicely boxed and showed no shipping damage. I am very pleased with it and will probably use it again.

Solid board, very thin veneer.

Excellent plywood! Much better than I had expected!

The board showed up with numerous scuff marks. Unfortunately I was unable to use it for the intended purpose. I did make some cuts to it so i guess i will just keep it in the scrap pile. Had the board not been so scuffed I could have utilized it for a different project. Overall good product.

This plywood is an incredible bargain. I purchased it and its 3/4 inch cousin so that my contractor could build some floating shelves. The results were wonderful and the cost was a fraction of what it would have been if I'd ordered them pre-made. I am impressed by the versitality of this product.

Well packed, arrived quickly. Although I haven't worked with it yet, it appears to be solid. Outer hardwood layer looks fantastic. I'm excited to get started on a few projects.

Great quality plywood for the price. The Walnut finish is really nice and the edges are square and clean. I found no de-lamination in any of the plywood i received. Shipping was quick and they came boxed in cardboard so there was no damage from shipping. While I did not take advantage of custom cuts I think this is something I will take advantage of in the future for the right project.

This stuff has more, and thinner plies than regular "cabinet grade" plywood. It is flat and stable. I used my sample piece to make drawer boxes, so I ended up ripping it into relatively narrow strips and joining the corners with rabbets and 18ga finish nails. I noticed very few voids in the inner plies and had no issues with split plies or blowouts as I joined up the boxes. Grain pattern was nice with a "good" side and an "even better" side. Outer veneers appeared to be plain sliced. Flitches were wide so the panel did not look too "busy".

I realize you're probably better off with a full panel in terms of cost, but sometimes I think it's worth it to get these smaller project panels. They're easy to move, you don't have break down an 4x8 panel, and they're much easier to store if you're not getting right to your panel. This fit the bill for me as I needed a nice panel for a wall art project. Once over to the table saw the layers are were great, minimal gaps and a sharp blade produced nice chip free edges. Great stuff, I would recommend.

The cut of the veneer is small leaving it to be difficult to make items look like real wood (you'll see seams in the grain pattern where the veneer joins). Home Depot doesn't carry the walnut edge banding so you'll have to source that somewhere else.
