We needed to replace a flood light in a very tall stairwell.
Bought this Bayco item.
Had difficulty getting the basket to grab the bulb. Basket kept spinning.
Switched to the suction cup. Worked beautifully. Lights on, all good.

Amazing Light Bulb Changer
Wow! We needed to change the porch light bulb and it’s a 20’ high ceiling. I bought a Res Bulb for Christmas decor and was bummed my ladder didn’t reach. I went to return the bulb and BRE at Home Depot said “I can refund it but there is a light bulb change pole to help you change it without a ladder”. Say What Now!? I found it. Googled it. Read reviews and one said “works perfect if you use the Suction Cup and don’t forget to use the string”. It WORKED!!

Perfect!
I needed to change four burned out reflector bulbs (glass...yikes) about 20’ high on a vaulted ceiling. I decided to use the suction cup (don’t forget to attach the included string first, like I didn’t do). The changer, with attached suction cup, attached to the bulb firmly (moisten the suction cup first), unscrewed it perfectly and brought down the glass bulbs with nary a problem. It equally installed the plastic-lens led bulbs easily. The product is sturdy enough and did the job without the risk of using a tall ladder.

I have seen these used and have heard great things. Unfortunately for me, trying to change the light in the stairwell I didn’t have the same success. While trying to turn the bulb, the wires inside the light also turned. My light sparked/arched like the 4th of July and had to be rewired. I guess if the base is not securely attached and this is a free standing light/chandelier, maybe it’s not the best option?

It performs as promised
I had a burned-out exterior halogen flood lamp about 10+ feet above the floor. I took the recommended larger bulb remover and screwed it onto the telescoping pole. It attached like a paint roller would to any extension pole. I turned the set screw, not overtightening it to prevent stripping the threads. This prevented the bulb remover from uselessly rotating when trying to unscrew the bulb. I extended the poles to the desired length, twisted them to secure and prevent them from rotating as well. As recommended, I lined one edge of the bulb remover with an edge of the bulb, then pushed it up so it would engulf the bulb. The pressure kept the rubberized arms in contact with the bulb. With counterclockwise rotation, the bulb came out first try without a problem. Lowering the pole, the arms helped prevent the bulb from coming out, hitting the floor, and shattering. When lowering the pole, I kept it vertical, loosened one pole to shorten it, and brought the bulb remover within reach to pull out the bulb. Keeping it vertical further helped prevent the bulb from slipping out. To replace it with a new bulb I used the reverse procedure.

Purchased the light bulb changer as my legs do not work well after an injury(ladder). I needed to replace the bulb in the garage whose ceiling is 11 feet and this worked just fine as I am 6 foot 6inch. I upgraded the bulb to an LED from the incandescent worked just fine. Fully extended this went from my garage floor to bulb. Add your height could take this 17-20 feet.

I used the cage attachment to replace 4 floodlights up under the eaves on the outside of my house. I followed a tip I saw on YouTube to wrap the little rubber grippy areas with duct tape that is sticky side out to give it extra "grab." It worked like a charm and all 4 were replaced without a struggle. even with the tape, it was easy to pull the cage off when the new bulb was in place. Another tip is to lightly rub some Vaseline on the threads of the new bulbs to make them easy to replace next time. The photo shows 2 of the old mismatched bulbs (one burnt out) that I replaced using this device.

Absolutely a great product. I have a hard to reach light bulb in my staircase that I have to stand on a ladder and reach as far as I can to replace it (very unsafe). With this changer replacing the bulb is a breeze. It only took < two minutes to change the bulb whereas in the past after dragging out a ladder it would take several minutes. Although I haven't tried them out yet it comes with several different attachments including changing flood lights and broken bulbs. My only regret is I wish I had this tool 25 years ago. Very good product.I highly recommend.

Not as good as I expected. Got the old bulb out, screwed in the new one, but it would detach from the socket. With gentle pulling, the light casing came loose from the ceiling. The spring surround the bulb was too tight. Had to call someone with a 12' ladder to come and fix it.

The 11 ft light pole changer kit is great for changing those light bulbs in areas that would require a very tall ladder or scaffolding to reach. The multiple attachments provide you with some way to actually get the different types of bulbs out of the fixture and replace them with new bulbs.

poor design
The extension pole won't lock, it is useless. The grab finger won't come off the bulb after screwing it in.

Tip: Use two-sided tape to secure suction cup
We have very high ceilings in our great room and high recessed lights outside. I have only used the suction attachment. I have been able to stand near the top of an 8' ladder and with this device almost fully extended change several bulbs. I found that the suction cup attachment became stripped after just a few bulbs. I added Scotch 3M two-sided-removable tape where the suction cup screws onto its attachment and then where this attachment is secured to the pole. You need to check these junctures to make sure they are tight before each bulb change. To secure the string, I tied it to a plastic laundry hook with a clip bottom. I wrap the string around the stem of the hook and then hang it on a rubber band at the bottom of the pole. This way I only need to unwrap enough of the string for the height needed and the string doesn't get caught in trees and bushes. The hook also provides a way to store the pole with the suction cup/string attached. This product is easy to use with bulbs that are low enough that you can stand on the ground and reach the bulb by only using 2/3 of the pole. Changing a bulb while standing on an 8' ladder with the pole fully extended is difficult.

Worked Perfectly!
I have 22' cathedral ceilings in my family room with (8) 65W recessed lights. The room was built 12 years ago and this is the first time that I had to change a bulb. I don't have a tall enough step ladder so tried using an extension ladder but just didn't feel safe having the ladder supported against the pitched ceiling.
I jumped onto the internet to find a solution and read through all the reviews for this product. After reading many of them I was very skeptical of a positive outcome. I decided that I would purchase it and very carefully remove it from the packaging in case I needed to return it.
I tied the string to the suction attachment, added a tiny bit of moisture from a damp paper towel and screwed it on. Fully extended I was able to latch the suction cup onto the light and easily turn it out. I very carefully removed it from the recessed lighting fixture and brought it to the ground. I suctioned on the replacement light and just as easily screwed it into place with no problems whatsoever.
One of the things I made sure of is that both extensions and the suction cup were screwed down as tightly as possible before I started. I had planned on adding duct tape to keep them from unscrewing if necessary but didn't need to do so. Additionally, I worked as carefully as possible with the bulb inside the recessed fixture to avoid banging into the sides and possibly causing the bulb to become dislodged from the suction.
Job completed effortlessly in less than 5 minutes. In the near future I will replace all these original bulbs with LED's and plan to do so with the help of this product.

Awesome!
I have a two story townhouse and no ladder. I thought I'd try this first before trying to buy a ladder. I changed 3 types of bulbs and even a broken off bulb with no problems! Awesome invention. Only thing was it didn't have instructions for attachments, but I figured it out
Tip: only use the suction to remove large flood lights and the large claw to replace.

This product stinks. It does not work well. I had one before and it broke, so I was not to bright to buy it again. I am in my mid 70s and needed to replace a flood light on the ceiling. Better to get my grandson of a handyman to replace bulbs.

Not worth a penny
It will come undone with use. I even used tape on the joint with no benefit. I will try to glow it altogether, however it will be hard to store that way.
