Took several attempts to connect to my wi-fi...
Eventually had to delete it from the Hubspace app and start over which resolved the issue. Anyway, I screwed an outlet adapter into the smart socket and then plugged my outdoor camera's USB power adapter into the outlet adapter. This setup allows me to remotely power cycle the camera when necessary. I've had this up and running now for about a month and it works exactly as I hoped.

I love these sockets. They work beautifully and as advertised. I had a set of 5 recessed lights that were controlled by one switch which was ridiculous. Now I can tell alexa which one (s) to turn on and not have them all on at the same time! I wish I found these years ago!

Absolute Garbage
I bought multiple of these sockets due to the very reasonable price ($1.48) but I see why they were priced as such. They're supposed to work via 2.4GHz band, or fail back to Bluetooth. Well, they did neither, the app allowed me to add it to the Hubspace account but that's about it. They couldn't (tried multiple) find any WiFi network (which mine is 2.4 and 5GHz and are others in the area), and when attempting to say screw it and just use Bluetooth I couldn't even turn it on standing next to it.

I bought 2 and they never stay connected
Bought 2 and they are within 100ft of my wireless router and they never stay connected to wifi at all

Not ready to be a commercial product
I bought five of these. One worked. A failure rate of 80% is completely unacceptable. Virtually none of these devices are able to connect to wifi. I don't care to speculate as to why these are of such poor quality but where they are, these should still be in development, not for sale. The one that did work is having trouble getting its scheduling right, so there's a bit more failure there. It does, however, respond to controls within the app.

Why won't this work?
I'm tech savvy and can't get 2 of these I've purchased to work. They don't see any 2.4ghz wifi networks. I've gone as far as lowering security to the min and still nothing. Even made my phone a wifi hotspot right next to it and still won't detect. Also, how is the BT supposed to work? I see them when I search BT devices and it tells me invalid passkey. It never asked for passkey...nor is one provided. Then by some miracle, they started responding via BT. Short lived and don't work again.
