This cartridge works well now that its installed. the little removal tool they send with it is absolute rubbish, and broke right away. had to get very creative to remove the old one.

One of the O-rings broke during installation. Ended up buying an actual Moen cartridge. More expensive but worth it.

The brass one works... In the past two months 2 danco plastic cartridges both bled cold water into the hot port -warm water/ prod sucks barrels were clean_

This is the solid brass version. I expect it to last many years if I remember to pull it out and re grease it. I expect to last many years even if I forget

A polar is needed to remove the old cartridge.puller.

Bad O Ring or Valve Seat or something greased the cartridge and everything put back didn’t look bad but valve wouldn’t turn off completely removed and installed Moen cartridge easy fit and worked no problems I would stick with the OEM even though this one looks great

As the 40 year old original shower faucet started leaking, the cause was traced to the cartridge internal seal and not to any of the o-rings around the body. Since the internal seal is not repairable, the entire cartridge replacement was required to fix the leakage.To facilitate reinsertion of the cartridge and reduce wear, the use of a lubricant compatible with the rubber seals is recommended.. .
