I had to drill and tap the stem in order...
I had to drill and tap the stem in order to attach the handle. Not many people would be able to do that as a typical homeowner, however the handle worked for me.

Pretty easy installation, though the escutcheon didn’t fully cover the old bits. I’ll still use this again for a handle replacement in our apartment as it’s a cheaper fix than replacing the faucet set, and looks good I’ve you want a bit of a period vibe.

Only needed the white H and C buttons to cover...
Only needed the white H and C buttons to cover handle screws, and they worked great. Although it was not a perfect fit for my faucet, caulk worked fine to hold them in.

Unfortunately they do not fit my faucets properly. I have Delta on the sink and shower and the shafts of each faucet are smaller than the adapters that come with the replacement faucets. The shower would not shut off and I had to put the older faucet back on. I am going to contact the manufacturer
