20 year warranty and it started molding just after 2 years. cannot even clean mold. it's deep not superficial. DAP is tricky because they are willing to refund the few dollars for crappy caulk but not thousands for labor. They don't deserve to able to put 20 years on label. They are misleading and a cheat. it is a fraud. They are not deceiving the consumer and they know it.

I have caulked many things before and this is by far the worst caulk I’ve have ever used. I laid a bead on two corner shower walls and three sides of a tub. Two minutes later I went back to smooth it out and this happened. No way should that happen so fast. Nightmare! Now I have to remove and redo. Anybody who has tried to remove silicone caulk knows what trouble this is going to be.

I needed some silicone to seal a new drop-in bathroom sink to the counter as well as fix a leak in the corner of our shower door. This tube was a little more expensive than some of the others available in the store but on the recommendation of an associate I purchased this. I was not disappointed. This silicone works great. It is easy to spread and sets up within about half an hour. It does have a bit of a smell (like vinegar) but that goes away after a day or so. The sink is now sealed to the counter and the shower quit leaking.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This is probably my 2nd or 3rd review of a product over the last 7 years, but I had to put my two cents in about this product. I've tried a number of sealants and this one by far is the best one that I've used. It's now my #1 go to for bathroom and kitchen projects. The picture included is a recent picture of a bathroom sealant job that I did almost a year ago in a rental property that I manage.

The caulk was easy to apply in the recaulking of my molded shower. Fingers crossed this holds against mold and mildew!

I used it to install a free-standing bathtub... Product is easy to use and clean up is also easy.

Used DAP Silicone Max Premium Kitchen and Bath Silicone Sealant to seal around base of our flag pole. It was easy to use and appears to be doing what we wanted it to do. Once it was applied it only took about 24 hours to completely cure.

It sealed and looked great

Replaced bathroom vanity and use the silicone to seal the sink/wall, and small shelf I had to build to fill 6 inch gap. The product works great and I have had it in place 6 months now with no issues.

Went in easily and stayed where we put it.

Its just a great product period.

I used this to install and seal a new bath tub glass door. The requirements for this to work was not only it's ability to make the connections it needed to make and to make a water tight seal, but it also had to do all that without distracting from the beautiful lines of a very nice shower door. This product did that and was easy to use. I used clear, but I know it comes in at least two other colors as well. To top it all off, clean up was a breeze as well. Job well done!

Some caulks are really bright and overwhelming. However, this almond color is a nice color and blends well with like colors. It worked very well in the crack between my new granite and back splash. It looks great.

I just finished scraping all the moldy caulking between my bath tub and shower tile (not fun at all). And re-caulking with this great white goodness. Caulking went on easy and looks great. Now the rest of my bathroom needs to be updated because this caulking looks so good :( I let it cure for a few days and it hasnt had any deterioration with moisture or anything since being applied.

So far, it's my favorite clear caulk. I put this in all the corners of the bathtub and to seal quartz/granite back splashes. You can also use this around faucets, but if your faucet is new and it comes with a plate at the bottom with a foam strip, you can get away without using caulk. I used it around our stainless steel sink and it went on very nicely! Don't cut the tip too large. Use a consistent pressure and go in a straight line quickly. Then use a finger(I like to wear a tight fitting latex glove), dip it in water, then smooth it out. Looks super nice

I like the Silicone Max 2.8 oz. Clear 100% Premium Kitchen & Bath Silicone Sealant with the squeeze tubes much better than the large ones for a caulk gun. The small tubes are much more handy and are easier to handle in small spaces. 10 year mildew resistance is more than most other brands offer. I also like that the silicone is water resistant after only 30 minutes. The air tight cap keeps the silicone usable for a while. Good luck reading the tiny instructions on the back though.

Sealant is a product that you only notice when it fails. My experience with DAP leads me to trust their claims and this product is warrantied to last for the life of my home, so I am not worried that my bathroom sink will ever need resealing. I carefully resealed the nozzle tip, and the remaining contents will to be used as an adhesive for small repairs of difficult to join materials around the home and shop. The strong grip and flexibility really comes in handy.

I have always preferred DAP products, and this Kitchen and Bath silicone sealant is another great one. It is 100% silicone, so it performs well to seal out moisture and the mineral spirits cleanup is easy. It stays flexible and will work indoor or outdoor. Although the cure time is 24 hours, I like that it is "shower ready" in just 30 minutes. I also like that it is safe for incidental food contact. The color is a soft almond and it is going to match perfectly with my tub, sinks, and toilets. Although they are difficult to see, there are markings (1/8", 1/4", and 5/16") on the tip for help in cutting to the bead size you need. The only thing I was disappointed with is that there are no caps included to close off the tip in between uses. However, if there is a small amount remaining in the tube, I usually form an asssortment of different sized rings to use as DIY gaskets. The 10-year mold, mildew, and bacteria warranty is good and has a lifetime warranty if applied within a year of purchase.

Today’s review is a 10.1 fl. Oz. Chalking gun applied tube of DAP 100 percent silicone max almond colored sealer. This is pure silicone designed for indoor use in either kitchen or bath. 10 year mold and mildew resistance and is water resistant 30 minuets after application. Flexible and shrink resistant. Applications are fixtures tiles showers tubs sinks countertops and safe around food. Just place in chalking gun clip tip to desired flow patterns and puncture inner seal with nail apply pressure and away you go. There is no resealable cap on these tubes so place nail used to puncture inner seal back in tube wrap plastic baggie tip and nail tape closed. Should keep chalking useable for a while.

First I must congratulate DAP for their new design. The tube was extremely easy to use and without the mess I usually have with using the full caulking tubes and it is supplied with a good sealable cap. Although I stress that at only 2.8 oz it is a very small tube at about a third of length of a full caulking tube. It does come in a 12 pack but it is really meant to small jobs like sealing a faucet or sealing around a sink or repair jobs. I sealed 12 indoor faucets yesterday using only one tube in my profession as an owner and on the job site in housing construction. As there is no water supply as yet I cannot verify the advertised 30 minute waterproof. Upon returning the next day all the sealant around the faucets were cured and ready for completing the pipe work. Any accidental touches of the silicone were quickly cleaned off using mineral spirits which critically left the faucets looking as new. As for the resalable sealing cap, it worked wonderfully well keeping the tube air tight. The only issue I would have is that I would have preferred a smaller end tip, especially for those tiny areas but other than that, it has a good adhesive and flows evenly across the surface. For the 12 pack it is good value and a long shelf life and unlike the full tubes, it is air tight resealable.

It was stripped & redone prior, but that didn't last long with the product we used because it was of poor quality, which we discovered while applying. So we were happy to try DAP Max because it's supposed to be a better quality. We didn't have a lot to lose, but we gained so much! This product was so easy to use & apply. We had the job done in no time. It applies so smoothly & dried quicker than we had anticipated. It looks wonderful. My whole bathroom looks better just from updating our tub with this product. It's been a few weeks now & it still looks wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone. Can't wait to purchase another tube to do our downstairs bathroom!

My review of the DAP Silicone Max 2.8 oz. White 100% Premium Kitchen and Bath Silicone Sealant: 5 Stars: DAP Silicone Max in White dries to a brilliant white color, and looks great next the my white subway tiles. The Silicone flows smoothly from the tube with little effort and smooths out with ease against both the sink and tile surfaces. The 2.8 oz. tube fit well in my hand and made it easy to get into tight areas around the back of my pedestal sink where a normal 10 oz tube and gun would not fit. It also has a cap to close it up until the next time I need it. Have not had the product open long enough to know if the cap does the job well. Pros: - 30 minute dry time. - Small compact size. - Smooth application - Consistent Brilliant White Color. - Resealable cap Cons: - None so far.

I have always had excellent results using DAP caulks and sealand and prefer the DAP brand as a result. The DAP kitchen and bath sealant I used 25 years ago when I installed shower doors on my fiberglass tub and shower unit is still on the job, mold free, and fresh looking. Not bad service, I’d say. DAP products always apply with ease and are simple to manage and cleanup. They set quickly. The DAP Silicone Max 10.1 oz. Almond 100% Premium Kitchen and Bath Sealant is consistent with my previous experiences. The container itself packs plenty of information and may be a bit difficult to read as a result. Instructions say to cut the spout at a 45-degree angle. The cartridge does not come with a cap for storing an open cartridge between jobs. Cleanup of uncured sealant requires mineral spirits, which is okay with me. The sealant has a slightly different odor than other DAP products that I have used. Consistency of the Sealant could not be better: Not too thin and not too thick, just perfect. That greatly simplifies the application process including any necessary smoothing. DAP 100% Silicone Max Premium Kitchen and Bath Silicone Sealant is available in clear and white colors and in the handy 2.8 ounce size for smaller jobs (At least for now, all colors are not available in both sizes) as is bulk pricing. This is the perfect sealant for use where long lasting performance is an expectation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product dries extremely fast, so if you intend to first seal the entire tub, don't! It goes on very easily and I was able to edge sections at a time, but I made sure I was happy with that section before moving on and sealing more. The previous owner installed tiles, which weren't always flush, and resulted in cracks/holes where it wasn't properly grouted and sealed. In comes this product. I love that it is 100% silicone as that is preferred especially when dealing with areas surrounded by water, as in the bath tub. I edged the surrounding tub, and it looks great! the white color dries as it is when it is wet. Again, the curing process (dry time) is quick, because when I went back to touch up an area, it was already tacky and so I'll wait to touch it up later. Beware to use in a ventilated area as the fumes are strong. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and can't wait to use the rest of the tube for sealing in my other bathroom. I don't think I'll have to worry about the kids splashing around anymore!

Provided what was needed for the project. I am a believer in the usage of this product for floor installation perimeter sealing.

I am using this product in an entirely different way. I am a model railroader and I used the DAP clear Silicone Sealant as a glue to lay HO track on a cork roadbed. It worked perfectly and didn't dry too fast so minor adjustments could be made. It was odorless and I wore cheap latex gloves to keep my hands clean. This product is being used on a number of model railroads in this country. An unusual application but it does the job

I just finished a major bathroom remodel in which I used high-dollar Swanstone tub shower surround panels. I had Swanstone send me its recommended silicone with them, and that skinned fast but failed to cure. The fast skinning meant the joints looked lumpy and it was like cottage cheese underneath. Great. I ran short and had to use some GE Silicone for a short segment of this project to finish, and it cured just fine. So I know it was the silicone Swanstone sent me that was bad. Swanstone would not do anything when I contacted them but say that they were aware it sometimes did not work out and sorry, so I bought some of this product. I scraped out all the cottage cheese caulk I could and then taped off all the joints with painter's tape. I laid in one seam of the DAP at a time and used the tip of a teaspoon to scrape along the seam for a nice finished joint. Then I removed the tape from that segment immediately and moved on to the next one. All my seams came out looking smooth or a lot less lumpy, and the new caulk cured beautifully. It is firm and has sealed well. Recommend! Helpful hint: You can clean up uncured silicone with mineral spirits. It is good to have some around, just in case you need it.

Application was very easy , products appearance is great . I trust many Dap products as well.

The Dap Kitchen and Bath silicone made me wonder if the product was put in the wrong package. About a month after the sink install, the silicone surface had collected dirt, like a paintable caulk used for moulding. After cutting some off, I was able to roll it in a ball and it left residue on my fingers. In some areas, the caulk shrank, leaving a gap between sink and counter. I will have to remove the silicone and replace it with a better product.
