Recommended.
3 strong years with previous Dewalt Tape. Simply, handed it down to apprentice. Tape never folded and still retracts.

I have not been impressed at all with Dewalts tape...
I have not been impressed at all with Dewalts tape measures, and I'm a hardcore Dewalt guy. I also bought the 35ft one, and it broke the day I got it.

This is my first DEWALT tape and I love it....
This is my first DEWALT tape and I love it. It is a little heavy and pricey, but it well made and worth the price. It also has a magnetic tip which come in handy.

Absolute garbage
By far one of the worst tape measures I've ever purchased. I do not recommend this tape measure to anybody it is a waste of money. That tape measure is too thin and flimsy. I miss the old Stanley fat Max's

This is a really nice tape measure. Rugged construction, clear, easy-to read markings, useful length. And as a strange side benefit, the extended standout of this tape allows me to snag cobwebs in high places. :-)

I'm using this tape several times per day. It's lasting...
I'm using this tape several times per day. It's lasting only about 5-6 weeks. Later on the metal tape is getting "flimsy" and typically starts chipping on sides. Stanley is more durable, however 16ft "free stand" is what I need.
