utter and total garbage. blade kept getting stuck in open and closed position. different lubricants were used and nothing worked. so i fixed the knife and jts all better now. with how the power tools have gone down hill, i will be finding a whole different brand. this was just the straw that broke the camels back. get better dewalt

Handle makes it easy to grip and safe to use

Looks sturdy enough, and I like the blade storage and easy loading. But the thumb latch doesn't move well. Gets hung up and it takes 2 hands to do. The tendency is to leave the blade out. Not good.

purchased this new utility knife, thinking it was an upgrade, it turns out that it does not retract, no matter what you do the blade will not go back in...

Cheap, not well made. Very disappointing.

I order this knife along with a screw driving set however I only got the screw driving set. The tracking number was the same for both. I contacted UPS and was told that the tracking number was only for one item which I’m guessing it was the screw driving set which I did received. Maybe Home Depot forgot to pack it in smh. Now what can I do if they insist it was delivered but it wasn’t with my order item that has the same tracking number?

Excellent, easy to use and reload with fresh blade

This thing is a complete piece of junk! Don't waste your money. Changing blades is difficult and dangerous and, when retracted, the tip of the blade gets stuck inside behind a lip around the opening. I had to pry the blade to the middle of the opening with a small screwdriver to get it to open. When it got stuck the third time, it went into the trash can!

I had purchased a DWHT10295 and it failed in two months of normal use i hope this one does not fail me or goodbye dewalt :(

2nd one i bought. Both dont open and close easy at all. 2 hands needed to extend blade. My older dewalt model is far better. What good is a knife that doesnt open ? Trash

Great utility knife, you can cut the materials very accurate and with precision, the knife can be release with ease and put another back in very easy. It comes with extra knives, I'm very happy with the purchase of this utility knife.

It's very difficult to open and reclose the compartment that stores the blades. I returned it after getting frustrated with it.

After using it for cutting drywall I had a hard time sliding the blade in and out of the housing.

Easy to handle, solid grip. Cutting carpet was great.

This utility knife did not perform well. We returned it. I had bought it expecting it to live up to the DEWALT name, but it didn't. The blades did not load into the knife properly because the mechanism was poorly made.

Poor quality. Didn't work. I returned the Dewalt knife.

At first I bought the other model and the blade didn't retract. It was dangerous so I exchanged it and bought the retractable model and it works great and the blade goes back in and the handle is easy to drip and cut. I recommend this model.
