Paint really didn't cover as good as I thought it would but it's a beautiful color

I am in love with this product..

The color label is not the color in the jar. The "Primitive" paint looks more like off white. I put some of the paint on the lid touching the color label and it was not even close when it dried. I will be returning it. I will see if the paint department will color match the "primitive" color, because it sure seems like a nice paint color.

This was the first time I've used chalk paint and it was so thick and hard to paint with. I had chucks of paint on my table. Next time I'll try to make my own or order off line.

I bought this to paint my kids' wood beds that weren't in great condition. I'd heard good stuff about chalk paint but wasn't sure what to expect - I was blown away by how easy it was to apply and how amazing the matte black finish is! I'm a total chalk paint convert now and will have a hard time buying anything else for furniture painting.

It turned out awesome. Went with Primative color! My husband liked using it and keeps joking that the whole house will be chalk painted soon!

Love chalk painting especially the prep part of which there is none!

This product works just as well as Annie Sloan. But if you think you are saving money, pay attention that the Home Depot version can size is smaller. So really, it's about the same price overall. I did really like the end color result. Very matte with just the paint. The finishing wax ( school glue consistency) added a bit of sheen.

Very easy to use, great color selection, love the finished results. The paint goes on easily, covers very well, and dries fast. I waited a couple of hours and applied the wax and done! I used this paint to refinish two twin beds for my granddaughters and they loved them. I definitely recommend Americana Chalk Paint.

I have painted multiple pieces of furniture and my front door. I am very pleased with the color and finish.

Paint was easy to use and the clean up was good. I was a little disappointed at the size, I thought it would be a larger jar. I used 2 coats over a varnished dresser. Loved the wax on top and the feel of the overall product. Looking forward to distressing a piece and seeing how that works.

I might have used it for the purpose it wasn't meant to: table surface, so I am trying to be objective. The product is good quality, applies smoothly, dries fast and looks awesome. 2 coats of it produced a perfectly black and truly chalky surface. The only concern I have is that without a topcoat/wax it's getting dirty and spotted from a single touch.

I painted my kitchen cupboards with chalk paint. It was easy to use, went on smoothly and looks great.

I used to cover old kitchen cabinets. No sanding or priming and Crema Wax has made them water resistant. A great way to extend the life of the cabinets until we are ready for a major renovation.

I'm an avid user of chalk paints. I was so excited to try Americana Decor because is was readily available in my local Home depot as opposed to Annie Sloan or CeCe Caldwell which I had to travel for or have shipped. There really is no comparison to the afore mentioned products. Application was difficult. I really had to watch my brush strokes and use a much softer brush in lieu of the a chalk paint brush normally used. The paint required far more coats for even coverage. I'm used to chalk paint stretching and more pigmented color. Nice try but the formula is somewhat off.

The paint was very simple to apply and looks great!

This is a great product will definitely be using it again with another recycled furniture project.

Paint seemd very similar to Annie Sloan chalk paint.

Great color, good coverage with no surface prep required. I did my kitchen island this color and added some gold gilding wax to the edges and sealed it with varnish. Beautiful results!

I used another Home Depot Chalk paint and was very pleased with the color. This one, not so much. It could be because I used the clear cream wax, but the color looked more like an undercoat or primer than a finished color. It is a creamy yellow color. Also, after three coats, it didn't fully cover the piece.

This brand of paint has worked well for me (be sure to stir), it covered well with no prep on a previously polyurethaned surface. My only complaint is that I ordered these larger sizes because my store only carries the 8oz, and i received the 8oz in my shipment. We were in the process of moving and by the time i had time to double check my order online, it had been too long.

I used this paint to refinish my maple cabinets. A good wash down and minimal sanding were the only prep needed. Not only is this a low odor, water clean up product, it dries incredibly fast and has a mild smell. It covered well with 3 very thin coats and 1 coat of cream wax over the top. I am totally happy with the finished product, it is smooth and has a great velvety finish.

I bought this to paint a dresser and I was surprised that the little can covered all of it and I had left over to paint a coffee table. It went on great gave me the look I want and it's cheaper then Annie Sloan paint. This is the only paint I will be using from now on to paint furniture.
