first time chalk paint user, picked this paint because of accessibility, I live in a rural area and had it shipped to my home. GREAT PAINT, watched a few UTUBE videos before I began and all went great!

Best Chalky Paint
I think the Americana Decor chalky paint is way better than the much more expensive Annie Sloan chalk paint. I've used both brands of chalky paint and I prefer the Americana Decor chalky paint. It goes further, spreads better and is about half the price of the Annie Sloan brand.

Americana Decor Chalk Paint
The product is the only brand I have ever used so I really don't have anything to compair it to. I would recommend that it be contained in cans rather than jars. This order came in jars, my other order in cans. This time it had leaked a bit during shipping. The lid is hard to put on and take off after paint has dried into the threads. Cans would be much better. I would recommend this simply because of the value, although I am concerned about your security breach and the safety of my credit information.

Covered really well
This paint was very easy to use and covered really well. I used it on old 50s maple finished chairs with no sanding. It was great!

Americana Decor 16oz. Carbon chalky finish
This paint goes on very smoothly and goes a long way. NO priming of bare wood is necessary before painting!

DISAPPOINTED IN QUALITY IN COMPARISON TO OTHER CHALK PAINTS
So sorry to have to post an unfavorable review. I was initially thrilled to find Americana Chalky paint before I invested in a designer/decor brand. I bought a small jar of Americana Chalky in a store, however, before ordering more that I I need for a big project, I compared it side by side using a sample jar of Annie Sloan Chalk paint (after reading some reviews on this site). There is simply no comparison. The paint was applied over a white painted vanity drawer...Americana Chalky Carbon on one side, and designer Annie Sloan paint on the other. The Americana Chalky side is a mess... full of brush strokes and will clearly require additional coats. The Annie Sloan chalk paint went on smoothly, no brush strokes, and covered completely in a single coat. It is a much richer, dense paint.. I am surprised & disappointed at the quality of the Americana Chalky . It cost much less, but the value is corrupted by the lack of quality. Especially before embarking on a big job, try a sample size jar of designer chalk paint against a SMALL jar of Americana Chalky. (check DIY blogs for other brands or formula to make your own chalk paint) I would not risk refinishing an important piece with the Americana Chalky. I expected much better of Home Depot.

Great coverage on an antique side table
I've only used this product once and was happy with the coverage on an old table, one coat and it was done.
Can't wait to use again.

A great substitute for traditional chalk paint
The yellow color is brighter than it looks online, which was a pleasant surprise. It's soft, but still obviously yellow. The paint applies easily and evenly, and a little bit goes a long way. I will get more of this in other colors.

Excellent Chalk paint!
I ordered the Yesteryear color which is a beautiful light gray blue color. I was painting a mirror frame which was originally painted in black ... needed only one coat of the Americana Décor chalk paint, and the one coat provided full coverage. Once the paint was dryed (within a half hour) I applied the clear wax with a brush and then rubbed the wax onto the frame with a piece of cotton fabric and voila! beautiful mirror frame that looks like new! Very happy with the product. Excellent Value ... Paint goes a long way!!! Review the 'how to video' for tips and instructions, excellent source!

Good product, not for this piece
The paint did not work well on the laminate piece I used it on, probably needed to prep or prime the piece. It did cover after two coats and a coat of poly. This small can covered a small entertainment center with a lot left over. It now looks like a high end piece of furniture.

Not the best
This paint is thinner than expected and doesn't cover as well as I had hoped. I ended up making my own chalk paint and it was much better. I do recommend applying this with a small roller rather than a brush.

a bit dissappointed...
I was so excited to see that Home Depot carried this inexpensive alternative to the costly ASCP, but it was not until I received it in the mail when I noticed that the can was only 16 oz, a pint, not 32 oz (1 quart) that you get with ASCP. Yes, I know I should had looked closer, but I guess I was overcome with the excitement of finding this new product. Color is a true peach, not coral. As far as cost goes, it ends up being a few bucks less, but having to wait 10 days to receive it was an issue to me as well. Much easier and convenient to run to my local ASCP stockiest if I need more, (which in the case of the hope depot paint, a pint isn't enough to complete a large project so I would have to had either ordered 2 cans, or do a smaller project...I choose the latter). The paint distresses nicely, but the claim for one coat coverage is not accurate. It took 3 coats of the paint to cover a simple light wood chair.

Great Product!
great product! I did only a light sanding and it worked great. It did need a few coats though, but I did my dining table and still have 1/2 can left.
