Everything you need
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This system is absolutely great. It has everything you need to monitor your home. You have four cameras that provide beautiful color 4K pictures, and they are weather resistant. It has a DVR to save your video footage for review. You can also check remotely from an app on your phone. I was really impressed that an HDMI cable was included so that I could hook the system right up to my TV to view. There is no monthly cost for monitoring and I see no need for a contract security service. There is even a window decal to announce that your home is protected. I highly recommend this complete, affordable system for everyone.

    Great product with great features!
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System with 4 Cameras is truly a great product. It has so many great features. It comes with everything you need, and you don't have to pay for any monitoring, just download the free app. for it. The 4 cameras are light and adjustable, and small. It provides up to 4k resolution. 8MP for recording speed. It also provides infrared LED for night vision up to 100 feet. The security system also comes with the DVR and it's thin, so no bulk at all. You also have remote viewing from your phone. Weather resistant also. Picture quality is also great It took us about 3 hours to get everything going, that's including getting the free app installed too. We live on a rural area, so since we've been using this security system, we feel so much safer inside of our home, and also when we leave.

Easy install....love the alerts you can get straight to your phone which comes with a warning text as soon as motion is detected by the cameras. Straightforward directions for set up with mobile phone use. The equipment is very durable and should last us for years to come.         Outstanding picture quality! Wonderful to have
        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a valuable security system. It comes with 8 cameras. Cable for each camera is roughly 50 ft. in length. Since it is a wired system, even before it arrived, we expected that setting up will involve more work than a wireless system. But the instruction is very clear with color-coded cables; the most important thing is that you need to decide where you want to put the DVR and how you are going to run the cables. I see that a lot of people running cables from attic, but we are lucky that we have a deck with unfinished roof, so we ran the cables under the roof and in the near future, we will finish the roof and nobody will see our cables. It took us 2 afternoons after work (about 2 hours each day) to get 5 cameras running. The quality of the pictures is unreal. I am super satisfied with this aspect. You can also download free app and get notifications on your cell phone. There are many options with this system; you can record continuously or just record when there is motion. You can have different combination of camera display at a time on the screen. So many different options to explore and take advantage of. Night visions are clear in black and white. It is so amazing how technology is so improved and shown in this system. The only thing I wish was different was that I wish cables come in different length. A couple of my cameras need only about 30 ft length, while if there were a couple cables that came in a length of 70 or 80 ft, that would be so much more convenient, especially for a set of this size. We are still installing the rest of the cameras and are looking to see if we can purchase longer cables for these, because they are going to have to go around the house to the garages in the back. Overall, this is the best security system you can have. Setting up takes some work, but it is expected with a wired system. And in compensation, you get an outstanding quality of records and pictures. I highly recommend this system.

            Gives me peace of mind
            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System with 4 cameras only took a couple of hours to hook up. It records 24/7, you’ll need to buy a USB flash drive. The pictures are clear on the t.v and the app, which is free on the google app store. You can also pick whether you want to record continuous or motion detection. The wires were easy to hide. I ran them along my baseboard and tacted the down. These cameras pick up all motion. They are very high quality. These really gives me peace of mind. I have a lot of packages delivered, and I do construction so there’s a ton of expensive tools in my garage. I highly recommend this product. I’ve tried other security systems and they don’t even compare.

              High quality video surveillance!
              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband immediately unpacked the Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System With 8 Cameras as soon as it arrived. He said it was easy to setup and showed me how well it worked as soon as he was finished. We were both impressed by the quality of the video which can be viewed on a television or with the app on our cell phones. Unfortunately, these cameras all have to be mounted in place and wired directly to the DVR, but the system includes everything you need in order to do so. I believe this brand offers a wireless version as well, but I am unable to give an opinion on that. Overall, this is a high quality product to help monitor your home (or business). We are now able to check on our dogs while we’re away and feel confident that our house is protected.

                Outstanding Quality

The video quality (resolution) is truly superb both on the monitor & phone. I feel much more secure having the data stored on site and available to access 24/7. Accessing the video stream on the phone is wonderfully quick as I've had other systems that had quite the lag time but this is nearly instantaneous. The manual is well laid out & easy to follow. 5 stars - very impressive system perfect for any office.

                  Great quality and customer service!
                  My husband and I purchased defender's 16 channel camera system in December of 2022. Our system came when they said it would with everything meticulously packaged. My husband was able to install everything with ease by using the specifically detailed startup guide. We were given an update to install and we did have a little trouble installing it but, after emailing Defender, they were quick to get back to us and walk us through it with no problems. We like being able to view our cameras on our cell phones with the Defender Empower app. We think the quality of footage is very sharp and clear. We occasionally got a false alarm on our phones but I'm pretty sure that's because we are still learning about the system and probably need to adjust the sensitivity. If you go to settings in the DVR, you can customize your system to your specific wants. I am confident that we will be using this security system for years to come! We feel the price is spot on. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends!

                        Great Product!!
                        I bought these cameras this past summer due to crime increasing in my area. These cameras are great and even the police have commented on the great footage, as they have taken footage 3 times from me since I got them set up. I was concerned about them working in extreme cold and right now we are in a cold snap of -37c over night with wind chill of close to -50c and they are working great with no issues!

                          This is our second one of these we have purchased. Loved the first one, so easy to work with and monitor off site. This second one is going to replace a existing security system of a different company, which has always been hard to work with.

                          I had installed, this my second defender product and had poor night vision - HOWEVER - I contacted the support and they resolved the issue very quickly by helping me see what I needed to do to get better night vision- the problem was the placement and angles of the cameras - not resolved - I'm back to loving my 8 camera system

                            Purchased product a few weeks ago and found that it was very easy to setup although I ran into a bit of an issue getting all cameras to record so I chatted with Yvonne with customer support and it was resolved quickly and the app is really useful.

                              Great System
                              Came faster than expected. Unit seems solid and easy to setup. Have not yet been able to do a complete install of all cameras but what I have been able to get completed they are working well and great image. A good deal of settings to work through to tweak them as you wish. I have mine connected to my 55 inch tv in our living room and used a wireless mouse instead of the wired one sent. Works great! Choose the wired cameras as I have the space to hard wire them without the wires being exposed. This gave me the 2T hard drive as well as power and a better image so shouldn't have any issues with overwriting something that I may have wanted to keep. Still playing with the system but like it so far.

                              Picture quality is quite good for the price, was surprised. Only thing I don’t like so far is that I had to mount a camera sideways to get a taller narrower picture to cover my whole driveway. The image on the app or display monitor is sideways and can’t be rotated.
