It looks nice but has cheap parts
Glass is really nice and the aesthetic is good. But there are lots of cheap plastic parts that make it up close seem cheaper than it should be for the price. The liners to stop water are super cheap plastic and the stopper to keep them door from sliding and hitting the wall is a super cheap plastic piece that pops off easily. Took an experienced handyman over 6 hours to install so not easy either. But it does look nice. We’ll see if it holds up. I’m doubtful though.

    Definitely worth it!
After reading all the reviews for this Delta Shower Door I was a bit apprehensive about the install I had to do. I wish I could go into more detail here but HD tells me the review is too long. So, just go for it! You'll be glad you did.

Beautiful and well made door system, but extremely fiddly with several precise measurements and cuts needed. Requires above average installation skills and patience.

        Great value
Just upgraded my bathroom and these doors were a great addition and look even better installed. The weight and hardware make them look even more expensive.

Could be 5 stars with one minor change
I bought black trim door and was surprised to find that the horizontal magnetic strips that go the on the full height of the door are white. At first I thought it was a packaging mistake, but evidently that is how they sell it. BAD DESIGN AESTHETICS.

All materials are stronger and it looks better luxury frameless shower door than a cheap aluminum frame door I have had in my old house. The installation might take time longer for a beginner like me, but I easily followed the directions step by step until it was done which is not bad to learn DIY in one day work. I needed the other person to hold and carry the heavy thick glass doors upstairs.

Awesome shower door. Functional and looks great. We had some issues installing it because we have an old house and the walls are not level. Other than that it is a great product. Slides with ease! Easy to clean. I use a norwex cloth to clean it. Great shower door for the price.

Good looking shower door if you're handy.
Shower door came packed really nice. Instructions were clear and the parts were nicely packaged. Make sure to have clear silicone and a diamond hole saw bit if you're drilling through tile. We could only source out 2 milwuakee 3/16 diamond bits for our porcelain tile so we bought some heavy duty 3/16 anchors and screws and didn't use the ones in the pack. Water comes under the bottom a little but not that much and the magnetic seal will let a little water out if your wall is crooked like mine. But as long as I don't directly hose it down with the shower handle it holds water.

Very nice door for the price. I installed it myself and if you are handy you would be able to do it also. The glass is nice and heavy but be aware that only one door opens and the other is stationary. Looks beautiful and I’m buying a second one for my other bathroom

I really love these dooors. My husband and I made our pantry into a bathroom and did all the work ourselves, with the help from my dad. The door installation was not as hard as I expected. The directions could have been a little easier to read, but I can not complain to bad. I was a little nervous about the doors because they were not expensive compared to other doors, but so glad i went with these, as they look fantastic!

                            Very Expensive for value/price ratio
Don't get me wrong, this a good quality glass sliding door the design is slick and modern. However, installation is rather confusing with too many steps, they could get away with simplyfing the instructions. some of the materials mainly the rollers, are cheaply made and seem flimsy. For nearly $500 I was expecting a higher quality product. My advise would be to take double the extra time to read through the instructions and set up. Also, be sure to buy a good quality masonry drill bit set to make sure you drill the perfect hole without cracking your tile.

This is a good quality shower assembly. I was impressed with the hardware, packaging, fit & finish, and overall modern look. All of the pieces were packaged well, with no scratches found on any of the items. The nickel finish was excellent, and combined with the track system and hanging supports the finish really stands out. The glass is plenty thick and has finished edges. The included tools are nice for installation. The included instructions are well laid out and easy to follow. The only gripe I have is with the screw inserts. I am always wanting to upgrade those to a better, thicker insert that won't strip out. Other than that, this is a good purchase and quality product.

We have installed a few of these doors in our shower and bathrooms. I love the quality of these Delta shower doors. We got this for our final bathroom that we have to remodel. The quality is always excellent and spot-on with the Delta doors. Comes complete with everything you could need to install this. The installation is pretty straightforward and most anyone with standard Handy skills will be able to do this. I'm excited to have my last remodeled done oh, I know I will be set for many years from the quality of the shower doors. The fit to finish and everything about it is just right. The price and the value for all the quality you get with these Delta shower doors is amazing.

The frameless sliding shower door I chose comes in a nickel finish with clear glass and is amazing quality. This will be going in an existing bathroom with a shower unit that is a one molded peace, so the store will fit in perfectly. I love the construction of the frameless shower door it looks high end and I am going to be so happy once it is installed and my worker gets to it. It is package with all instructions included step-by-step so it is going to be extremely easy to install.

We picked up the Delta Commix frameless sliding shower door in Nickel for our guest bathroom to replace an older, failing shower door. We chose the Nickel finish to match our existing accessories and were excited to get rid of the brass on the existing door that may be original to our 20 year old home. For the installation I recruited my brother because you will need two people or four hands. It's not super heavy with two people, but leveling and holding in a position to mount the hardware it comes in handy to have the help. We were able to mount the upper support into a stud which is always a stronger option. The only real challenges we ran into was getting the caulking/silicone to not get on the lower rail area. I suggest picking up some painters tape and applying to the tile in a straight line, caulk, then remove the tape to let it dry for a perfect straight line. It's all about the right tools as well, if you are drilling into tile, make sure you have the right bits. In all, took us about 3 hours to get everything lined up and mounted. Love the look and it really updates our bath. Will edit post to add final pictures.

Something unheard of is a one time free replacement of any miss cut, damaged or missing part. Internet #312782776Model # SDES860-BN-R Delta Commix 60 in. x 76 in. Frameless Sliding Shower Door in Nickel with 5/16 in. (8 mm) Clear Glass I converted a garden tub into a shower. I wanted a door that would not only look good, but also allow the beauty of the tile to show through. That is why I chose Delta's no frame shower doors. What made this deal even better, is the 5 year limited warranty and something that is unheard of is a one time free replacement of any miss cut, damaged or missing part. Another unique feature is the magnetic strip that keeps the door closed, and that's a big deal. The doors key features are the barn door style track and the hydrophobic glass (treatment to resist water spots, reduce soap scum and limescale buildup). Installation is relatively easy when you follow the detailed step by step instructions. The only negative I ran into, the parts are listed as A, B, C ... but, none of the parts have matching letters. MANUFACTURER COMMENTS: - Features 1-stationary panel and 1-sliding panel - Accommodates out-of-plumb (uneven) conditions totaling 3/8 in. - Door measures 54-3/8 in. to 60 in. x 76 in. - Installations with fixed panel nearest to shower head recommended

Note for adding a door vs remodeling: Before I get started I wanted to identify a critical piece of information. You must have a stud within 1 1/2 inches from the sill to support the weight of the door. In my case I was lucky to have access to the back wall for a workaround. Make sure to check & measure first! The Delta Commix door transformed my small basement bathroom. The door is defined by smart looking brushed nickel hardware as the glass is practically invisible. Not only is the door classier than the curtain it replaced but it opens the space making it feel larger both in the shower and out. While I'd rate installation difficulty somewhere between intermediate & expert level, the overall process was clear & easy to follow with a thick, detailed installation guide. Read the manual first but I found it quite manageable short of the few places I needed my wife to help lift/position doors. Reflecting back on the installation, it was akin to adult legos. Many detailed steps but easy to follow with a large payoff at the end. Here's what I enjoyed about the shower Pros: 1.) Beautiful & well thought out design 2.) Glides effortlessly on it's rail but seals tight 3.) Holds in steam and water much better than my curtain 4.) Resists water marks & fingerprints to the point it was HARD to capture in a picture 5.) Straight forward installation with easy, detailed instructions & even guiding stickers (see pictures) 6.) The rail where the door hangs is the largest to cut - but it's hollowed to make it faster/easier than cutting through 3 inches of aluminum! Cons: 1.) Needs studs in the right place (less of a con than a need to know) 2.) Installation will need two people because the doors are heavy! Somewhere around 60-70 lbs 3.) A good bit of cutting to get it right. Installation guidance: 1.) Read through the instruction manual in advance then make sure to set everyone out as you'll need it in the bathroom. Use a stud finder to make sure the door can be installed where you want it! 2.) Since you are drilling in tile I recommend taping the areas you'll be drilling in blue painters tape, measure twice, mark and then use a fresh tile drill bit to not chip/crack your tile. I marked everyplace I planned to drill in advance then checked a few times as I went 3.) Make sure it use a miter box to get clean/crisp cuts. The hanging bar doesn't need to be perfect as it'll sit in a holding block - but this will ensure a tight connection. 4.) Don't be afraid to call Delta - they're incredibly knowledgeable across their product line! I called twice for key information regarding what to do if I don't have a stud in the right place and the right orientation for the blocks that prevent the sliding door from slipping off the rail. Less than 10 minutes each time! So... what if you don't have a stud in the right place? Hopefully you're either remodeling and have the shower down to the studs or you have access to the rear wall. If not - I'd return the door and get a different model (same advice when I called Delta). In my case I was lucky my shower is in the basement adjoining to our storage room. I added some sister studs to the brace already holding up my staircase. I drilled the holes where I wanted them. Centered the stud over the hole and then continued installing.

I have not yet installed this product - the COVID-19 restrictions prevent me from doing the work. But I have opened the package, examined the parts, and read the installation instructions. I may supplement this review after the restrictions are lifted and the installation is complete.

This is the Delta COMMIX Exposed Roller Shower Door (60 inch, Brushed Nickel). I’ll start by saying that this is really a beautiful shower door. It’s made of high-quality parts and once installed, operates smoothly. However, installing the door can be a challenge. If you have trouble assembling knock-down furniture, don’t even think about installing this door—it’s definitely an advanced project. And in my case, I had to do some improvising. My first problem is that I received some bad advice about the shower opening. I was told that the threshold would only be 4” from the floor, so I planned accordingly. I wound up with a 6” threshold and that eliminated my extra two inches of planned clearance at the top, so my opening was exactly 76 inches instead of 78 as planned. This made it really difficult to install the door. Be sure and read everything you can about the door beforehand because the Home Depot website and the manual give seemly conflicting information about the height requirement (see Photo 1—website info). You would think from the website info that a 76” opening would suffice. Also, the box the door comes in (see Photo 2) gives the same information. But if you dig into the manual, it clearly states on page 1 that the recommended clearance height is 78”. Believe this number! In hindsight, I would have made my ceiling drop smaller to insure I had several more inches of clearance. With a 76” opening, you cannot not lift the door with the rollers installed onto the track. I thought that was the end until I realized that I could prop the door up into place and install the rollers. Another issue I had involved drilling the holes. I have porcelain tile and that requires a diamond drill bit. The manual tells you to drill a 1/8” pilot hole, then drill a 7/32” hole for the anchors (used for all screws) as if you’re only drilling into drywall—they don’t really address drilling into other materials. The only diamond drills close in size I could locate were either 3/16” or 1/4”. I bought the 1/4”, drilled a test hole in a scrap of tile and tried the supplied anchors. They did not fit snugly as required. So I wound up using my own anchors that were made for 1/4” holes and cutting off the lip so they would sit flush with the wall (see Photo 3—the top one is the supplied anchor). Also note that, even though I have 2x4 backing for mounting the door, Delta told me to use the anchors anyway (I called them). Instinct tells me to use a longer screw and no anchor—if the screw hits the wood, what could be better? Well, I did it their way and the screws did hold firmly into the anchors. The next challenge was after the fixed panel jamb was installed (see Photo 4). The next step is to install a U-channel piece on the bottom of the fixed door. This assembly then gets pushed into the wall jamb after you put silicone in the jamb. The problem I noticed is, after you put the U-channel on, and line up one edge as instructed, there is only 1/2” of glass exposed for sliding into the jamb. The jamb is actually about 1 1/4” wide, so are you supposed to fill the jamb with silicone so it will touch the glass of the panel, or does the silicone just cover the screws? The manual says “Place a thick bead of silicone along the full length” of the wall jamb. It just didn’t feel right. I wound up placing quite a bit of silicone in the jamb and pushing the fixed panel in slightly more than the allowed 1/2”, which caused the U-channel to slide so it was no longer flush with the edge. I just cut off the excess and declared it good. Important: As you continue the installation, they tell you to prepare the sliding panel and put it into the shower area on cardboard. Be sure to do this because, once you install the track that it slides on, you cannot get the door inside the shower. The only real shortcoming of the design is installing the limit stop. Photo 5 shows the stop installed under the roller (ignore the unused hole below it—that’s for the anti-jump stop). The track actually blocks access to the hole from the back side of the glass. You’re supposed to hold part of the assembly from the backside and screw it in from the front (shower side). This seemed like an impossible task. The only way I could figure out to do this was to use double-sided tape on a thin ruler so I can slide the part into position as I tightened the screw. The manual simply says, “From inside the enclosure, install limit stop bracket assembly (K) to inside of sliding door panel (A) as shown in figure 61.” This instruction is of no help at all. In the end, after about 6 hours, my wife and I managed to get the door installed (see Photo 6). I admit, it came out beautifully, but do not underestimate that challenge of the installation process. Be prepared.

SUPER HEAVY!! These come off of 18 wheeler trucks, because that is the only way to ship them. I am a muscular guy, and still needed another person to move this and we were huffing and puffing. As for the design and install.. it all went smoothly! I LOVE DELTA! The Doors are SUPER HIGH QUALITY!! Glass seems unbreakable, & is super thick. Looks Modern, also!
