It does protect the carpet. It is more for low pile carpet than medium pile carpet. After a few weeks of use, the wheels of my chair have made depressions in the mat. Also, the mat has a grayish tint to it and is not clear.

Great size!

Bought for my husband working from home. Sits well on a Burber carpet. Wheels of the chair roll smoothly. Good size so chair doesn’t go off the mat when moved in any direction

As others have said, this product arrived rolled up in a box. Unrolling it and getting it to lay flat was a bit of a challenge. But more disturbing for me is that the mat arrived covered in some sort of sticky goo. The entire surface - front and back - had something smeared on it that made my hands very sticky as I unpacked the mat. My concern was that if this goo was coming off on my hands, then it would come off on my rug and shoes as well. Getting all of the stickiness off the mat was a major pain. I even threw it into the bathtub at one point. Also, this mat is really thin. It's supposed to be OK for low to medium pile rugs. I have, what I would consider to be a low pile Berber carpet and the wheels of my chair create significant depressions in the mat. Having the mat is definitely better than trying to roll my chair around on the rug, but I have to wonder how long it'll be before a wheel bursts through the thin plastic. I would not recommend this mat, nor would I buy it again

Excellent chair mat. I love it! It is superior quality and looks great. It took less than 24 hours for it to lay flat after putting weights on four edges.

Perfecr fit for a small office, and not at all obtrusive. The shaped lip allows the mat to extend several inches into the foot-space under the desk; a goos design poont for maximum roll and coverage

Grear mat. Thick enough to not warp. Great smaller size fits between desk legs.

Works great, will see how it holds up over time. Wish it were a little bit thicker.

Appears to be good quality. Time will tell. I purchased the one recommended for deep carpet and it arrived rolled up and it was a bear to get it unrolled and weighted for 24 hours before it flattened out.

It's as advertised

Did not work for my 1/2 inch medium pile carpet. Too soft in my opinion. I am at 185 lbs and my chair would sink in making it harder to move than I would like. Smelled for almost a week in my small bedroom office.

Arrived in an ingeniously designed box. Easy to set up and seems durable.

It’s ok. It has divots where my chair rollers are, so I get stuck in one location.

Had this for 3 weeks now and it is back on the porch for more out-gassing. While it fits and works well - smoothly under the chair, I can not keep it in an enclosed room for very long as the plastic let out fumes that choke me and burn my eyes. Washed it well and will let it air out for a while longer, but it might still end up being returned.
