Purchased mid summer to replace a Stihl trimmer. Never looked back. Dependable.

I'm so pleased with this trimmer. Reliable, easy to start and absolutely plenty of power. I'm so glad I didn't talk myself into the larger model. I take care of my house and my neighbors once a week and this suits my needs perfectly. We will be friends a long time!

What a dream to it is to use. Had an echo trimmer for over twenty years with the bent shaft and had no trouble with it but decided to get a new one when we moved due to much more trimming needed. What a difference this unit made. Saves time and effort tenfold. I would have to take at least five breaks before for a sore back and exhaustion and it would take at least 45 minutes to get done. I just used this trimmer and had it done in less then 15 minutes with no difficulty. Just an excellent overall product.

This model is light once you figure out how to wrap the spool it's easy after that and comes off the spool without a problem. It's powerful

I have had this trimmer for about 4 years now. Never a blade of grass it couldn't handle easily. I needed a brushcutter and bought the attachment and it was like I had a whole other machine. I started with the echo 8 points knife blade. It took down almost any thing it touched. The saplings above an inch were just to much. It would cut them, but due to the limitations made by having such a small cutting area, you would have to bump it several times. I then put on a 26 tooth saw blade and began cutting small pines trees with ease. Several of them were 4 to 5 inches in diameter and almost all cut straight through in one pass. With a little finesse trees 6 to 8 inches in diameter would fall just as easily. I spent nearly 3 hours clearing part of my dear lease and got done with 3 times the work than what I thought I would have done. To top that off, I only used 3 quarters of a tank of fuel!! Its impressive as a string trimmer, because you know that's what it is for. No grass is too thick. Put a saw blade on it and you will be awestruck at what this machine can actually do. You can finally see the raw power this 12lb unit has. I would normally be opposed to using something with this small of displacement for a heavy duty clearing job, but this is the only one ill grab when its time to clear next year. Was doing it with a Stihl fs 110r. It performed well with the 31cc engine. I thought there was no way 22.8 could even come close to keeping up. I was dead wrong!!! If you need a trimmer that can do double duty as a brush clearing saw, this one is it!!! You MOST DEFINITLY will NOT be disappointed

We bought our ECHO SRM-230 trimmer in august 2015 and we believe it is the best we have used in many, many years. Our neighbor bought one a week later. We also bought an ECHO chainsaw and love it too!

This is my second echo trimmer and the performance and reliability and feel is quality highly recommend

This is my second srm 230. My first one lasted 13 years. I also own an echo blower that is now 12 years old. Awesome products

I bought this SRM 230 Because I had An ECHO Weed wacker For 20 Years. It finally died On me. The new unit I can use the same attachments That I had for the old units

This is my second echo weed eater. The first one lasted at least 20 years and still runs. I just wanted a newer stronger weed eater I could put a saw blade on.

I purchased this trimmer over a month ago. No surprise of it's performance and dependability. Echo is preferred source of equipment. Have been using ECHO Products since early nineties.

Over the past few months I have used this trimmer for multiple jobs and found it to meet and exceed the uses I have put it to. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the trimmer line it came with. I have also been pleased with it's ease of starting.

I have used the Echo SRM-230 for a year now and could not be any more pleased with it's performance. EASY start up plus power. Love the easy load feature for the line. General note to all. I use the fuel in the can. Runs cleaner and is better for the engine. If you choose to mix your own do yourself a favor and mix with only high octane fuel. The low grade fuel doesn't burn off very well and will lead to carb problems in the future.

I am big fan of the Echo products. I have used the SRM225 in past years and now have upgraded to the SRM230. there is a noticeable difference, the trimming head does not get jammed up with tall weeds as much and the cutting power is better than the SRM225. it seems to me my cutting time is less than before, and I am always in knee to waists high weeds. you will not be disappointed with this machine. the only con I have is the metal housing gets pretty hot and when I lean my elbow on the housing (which I do a lot) it stings. I am thinking of adding some insulation/ padding to the area to correct this.

Makes easy work out of my 1 acre yard , a great gift for the new home owners.

Great machine... it really does start either first or second pull. I've never had a two stroke that worked this smoothly. Lots of power, light and feels like it will run forever

This weed eater is a awesome machine, startups are easy, the power is unbelievable. Replacing the string is easy, it's light weight. The first straight shaft weed eater I have owned, all I can say is awesome.

I was a tradesman during my working career depending on quality tools to perform my job. I expect a lot from them! Prior to this trimmer I had always purchased low end trimmers and never felt satisfied with their performance or longevity. This trimmer blows all my previous ones away with power, performance and features. Can complete trimming in half the time. Judging from the build quality this should last a very long time.

I Used Echo Products At Work And When Mine Broke I Knew What To Buy !!

I bought this to deal with grass edging and more so for the weeds/grasses that were getting out of hand on the borders of my property. Wow! The SRM-230 just above idle has more cutting power than my old electric on a fully charge battery. The SRM-230 made quick work of grass and weeds. It starts easy and there is surprisingly less vibration than what I expected especially in comparison to pass gas trimmers I use to own.

I bought this 3 months ago and it works flawlessly. I have absolutely no complaints about this trimmer.

Bought a Echo blower and was amazed how easy it was to start.Monster trimmer gave out after 2 1/2 yrs... so based on the blower bought the SRM 230 trimmer.. it starts easy and has taken away most of the dreaded trimming.

I bought this a couple of months ago. Primarily I use a string. Sometimes I use a blade for cutting grass and a different blade for cutting limbs. It does an excellent job on it all. My wife uses it more than I do because it is easy to start. Also, it is easy to replace the string.

Love the light weight. Plenty of power. Great trimmer . Great price.
