Avoid - defective door latch leaves you outside
I am returning it ASAP. Purchased 9/5/22. Professionally installed it on 9/8/22. I was locked out of my house on 9/11/22 and 9/12/22. I had a Pella storm door for over 10 years - no issues. I was replacing my entry door and wanted the hardware to match, so I bought this door. Not the cheapest either...$300. The first time I thought was just a fluke. When I was locked out of my house for 20 minutes, I knew it was time to return this door. Anderson/Emco knows that the interior latch is defective.

I have this door and I love it so naturally...
I have this door and I love it so naturally when my uncle needed a new one we brought this door for his house. The fact that you can open (slide) the window panel up/down and the mesh stays in place is a huge win for me. I dont need to fiddle pushing the side buttons to bring the panel up/down as its just one click and the panel goes up/down softly. We just love this door, its a hit. I would definitely buy more and certainly recommend it.

Unlike the version in the video, the screen does not...
Unlike the version in the video, the screen does not have a handle and we cannot figure out how to get it to attach to the glass. As it is now, we have a storm door with no screen. Customer service was not helpful. They steered us to the same video (for a different series door). Others have also complained about this problem.

one window reads right, the other window is upside down. and the screen does not connect to anything. seriously?!

The insect screen of an EMCO 300 Series Self-Storing Storm Door will have to be attached to the top frame of the upper ventilating window. You will have to manually snap it into the top frame of the ventilating window. We want to assist you with your concern about the windows. Hold onto tight to orange handle
Nice door, install fairly straight forward, EXCEPT. Little orange handle to pull tension loaded screen is little!! It slipped from my hand and the screen rolled all up in compartment. Hold on tight to little orange handle. There are NO videos to tell you how to get the screen back out. This is an EMCO 300.

Door had imperfections, apparently from production, missing scews from build...
Door had imperfections, apparently from production, missing scews from build at factory, not install hardware and has a ding on outer skin, apparently looks like they put to long a screw in that spot and missed putting screw in another around window frame. Not happy about it

The door was perfect for our application and was fairly easy to install. Would have helped to have a second person to hold but I managed. The pick up process was not the best. The store gave me the wrong door after waiting for 45 minutes. I noticed it as I went to load in my truck that it was the 100series and I went back in to get the proper door.
