Hard to rate a product that generally is destroyed doing the job it is intended to do. If I get a surge and an appliance is destroyed while the surge protector is okay, then it didn't work. I'll let you know.

I have used these devices in the past and haven't had any surge problems. It is easy to install if you are mechanically/electrically minded.

Just what we needed!

Important to protect everybody's home from the electric power failures. I did when I bought the Eaton Surge Ptotection. It works; no doubt whatsoever. Highly recommended.

This is a great product for protecting your appliances and electronics from power surges. This is the 2nd home I have installed this surge protector. Well worth the money...

The Eaton surge protector is working great so far and protecting all appliances in the house and thing buying another soon, Now how those the warranteen works to cover all my appliance with Eaton surge protector.

Seems to work fine. I purchased because a power surge fried my heat pump. Had some almost outages and an outage for over 2 hours since installing. I did notice the lights during the near outages seemed to be more dimming then brightening vs off then on. Not sure if this product played a part. I can say that for $100 it's well worth protecting the house. I had an electrician install in less than an hour without turning power off. I'd say a layman could install but I would recommend turning the power to the panel off. One slip and touch the bus with a screwdriver and you have much bigger problems.

The joules rating is mis leading. the higher the joules; the less energy is absorbed into the veristors. And it truned out thaat this is not what we needed. But they DO have a good return policy.

Not a plug and play solution, but minimal problems in installation. Was able to test it early considering there was a power spike within an hour of installation, withstood first test. I am satisfied that it will work as intended.

This is a good versatile solution that fits any load center. Make sure to have a double-pole 15A breaker handy. Hook-up wires are multistrand tinned copper (not be be confused with aluminum) to ensure low impedance (that is high admittance of transients) and chemical-contact compatibility with steel, zinc, or copper ground lugs. The reviewer (Anonymous) from February is just wrong: this is not aluminum wires.
