It worked, it was good for my handy man

Perfect exactly what I needed.

I see alot of complaints about bending or breaking, if you drill the hole the shank size and length of Fastener put a bit of dish soap on and push it part way in before hammering there will be no problems.

Items worked great. Googled how to install them and everything worked fine. Absolutely no issue with the shutter fasteners

They don’t fit my 7/16 drill bit hole as I requested too small

The reason these were ordered was to see if it matched the new metal roof. Since the shutter, which is not stocked in the store so would have to be ordered, cannot then be returned, this was a way to see if the plug that matched the shutter color needed to match the new metal roof was a match. It was a match! When I get my next coupon for same as cash, I am ordering the shutters for five windows :) Worked for me, maybe it will work for you, too!

Better than expected. I still had one bend, then break after trying to drive it into a whole that was slightly misaligned, but the was due to the original holes that someone else drilled. So make sure the holes are straight and aligned, and you should be good to go. Hope this helps and wish you good luck. Thank you for reading.

I used masonry screws because I found these Ekena shutter-loks in place. They had broken off the the head about 5 years after placement. I could not remove them. I found it simpler and as strong to just insert masonry screws into the brick.

The fasteners were described as Burgundy Red. They were actually reddish brown.

These fasteners were perfect for my shutters. They are about 1/2” longer than the originals and thus provide an extra amount of holding strength. Very pleased so far.
