This piece was used to attach two water hoses. Very easy to install.

I used this coupler to connect my 1/4” plastic water tube from my refrigerator to under my kitchen sink. Super easy assembly and not a single drip.

These do no work with copper ¼" OD tubing. I incrementally torqued these couplings as hard I could (to the point the wrench was rounding off the nut) and I could not get them to seal. In fact, the ¼” OD copper tubing would rotate in the ferrule after it was torqued. Upon further inspection the ferrules are not designed like traditional ferrules. These ones are “captured” in the nut and there is an extra ring of brass around the ferrule to maintain the “capturing” feature. This extra ring on the ferrule is preventing it from properly squeezing down on the tube. I’m returning these and getting a traditional set with a loose ferrule.

Did not fit quarter inch copper tubing worthless to me

Get the cheaper version from the evaporative cooler section of home depot for HALF PRICE. It's the same thing. Search Evaporative Cooler Compression Union.

Fit my fridge line perfect.

Worked perfectly in joining together, 2 of the 1/4" braided water lines for connecting to a refrigerator

Leaked like crazy, replaced with a second one which also leaked, tried to repair by using Teflon tape. Replaced with a different brand plastic one that worked perfectly

Easy to use coupling, flare end is there for plastic tubing and compression ring for copper tubing.

do not buy if you want to use this on a copper water line, there is no seal, the tube keeps coming out and the nut never tightens

I bought the 1/4 inch coupliing and ended up using my own compression rings and nuts. With the supplied captive compression rings my tubing spun in the fitting regardless of torque on the nuts. Not good.

the Everbilt 1/4 OD Compression Brass work well. Thank you.
