attached it to fence gate so it would close automatically---works well

The label doesn’t come off. Now the spring is installed with the label on it. It’s very obnoxious because the label covers a large portion of the spring.

I used two of these to replace the springs on my attic ladder. I have no idea who the ladder's manufacturer is, which seems to be necessary information for obtaining exact replacement parts. These springs were an acceptable replacement, measuring 2 inches shorter, and slightly smaller wire diameter. They have slightly less tension than the original ones, but do hold the ladder up when closed.

Seems sturdy so far, perfect for closing a gate.Needed some Goo-Gone to get all of the packaging residue off, but not nearly as bad as I've read in reviews of other springs.
