Falls short of expectation. "Legs" are not parallel and are formed by bending with rounded shoulders rather than square as shown in the dimension illustration. Will suffice for my application, but it is not the quality I had hoped for.

Used it for a welding project and am happy with how it turned out.

I may have already reviewed this. The dimensions on the up turn leg of the channel were not specified. They are only 1/2" high. This will not work for our application. A diagram associated with the dimensions fails to call it out.(see below)

The Everbilt Brand, 2 in. x 36 in. Plain Steel C-Channel Bar with 1/8 in. Thick was used in the fabrication of a frame mounted RV battery tray brace and through bolt bracket. I find Everbilt steel I have used to be of good quality and to machine and weld well. My local Home Depot store is my source for these handy prefabricated steel profiles for all the projects around my home. The RV battery tray was fabricated from scrap sheet steel and new Everbilt steel and fasteners from Home Depot. Home Depot is my local source for welding, cutting, and grinding supplies when working with steel fabrication around my home.

SUMMARY: WORKED FOR MY PROJECT. BACKGROUND: I have a large wood-turning lathe and wanted to make a longer tool rest. The C-Channel Bar by Everbilt looked like it could do the job. FIT AND FINISH: The consistency of the steel looked good, there was no rust. INSTALLATION: I drilled 3/8 inch holes in the steel and my existing tool rest and bolted them together. USE: I made a few practice cuts and the bar was a much appreciated improvement over the existing tool rest. SUMMARY: Works for me. PROS: Sturdy

I used this piece of C-Channel steel bar to protect a wire harness. For me it was deep enough and strong enough for my use. I’m not using it as others have mentioned for the purpose of door framing. The proper application by other reviewers complained about not liking the quality and or strength. So my rating is not reflective of their use but of my application.

I used this C-channel bar to build a brace for the AC return port so big furniture (such as a sofa) will not get too close to it and block the air flow. This bar is strong enough for my project because of the C-channel profile. It is easy to work with using proper tools. The quality is very good.

I bought this hoping to help stabilize some slabs. Unfortunately, it is not straight. It curves, making it useless for me. I will be returning this item.

Channel steel. Worked great, and all the length I needed.

It is a piece of metal. What more is there to say? It cleans up well and welds just fine.

Cheap China steel. Was able to bend by hand. Way over priced. Never buy any steel here again.

I mean, it's described to be a steel C channel, and that's sure what it looked like in store. It exists and functions just as a steel C channel should...so...I guess it deserves 5 stars for participation?

I went back and looked at what I had ordered. It's not as pictured, pictured shows may 1 1/2 to 2 inch side rails high. What came is only 1/2 inch tall, if they had shown this piece would not have ordered. As dishonest as this is if I ever get the chance to be dishonest to home Depot I won't feel bad!

I used the c-channel to reinforce a floor joist that has a plumbing cut-out near the bottom edge. Angle iron would not work due to nearness of the pipe. The 1/2 inch height of the c-channel fits good. The bar is easy to cut and drill.

It's a piece of steel I used for mounting a pneumatic hose reel.
