I predrilled 8 pilot holes and hand screwed all eight. 2 of them broke off 1/2 way in. Very poor quality. I would not recommend this product.

The first 3 screws I used broke. Used it on wooden cabinets and snapped in half when screwing them down. Poor quality.

Wish I read the reviews before buying and trying to install for a coat rack. Two screws in a row snapped off directly at the head of the screw. Impossible to remove what was left in our expensive piece of wood. Do not buy these. I’ve never had this happen with a new screw before

But drill first. Not strong enough to tap into wood. I figured that wood screws are made to just screw in. I suppose you trade tough for pretty with these. It seems that I will need to predrill holes.

These brass screws worked extremely well in my project. I was working with quarter sawed oak, so I knew to drill pilot holes and wax the screw treads. Having done so, I did not have a single #8 head to strip or a screw to snap off.

Per pictures, most of the heads break off screwing into even soft wood. No an acceptable product.

These were great for adding a little detail to a project I was working on. Made eleven of these as groomsmen's gifts. The screws went in very smoothly with a small pilot hole drilled first.

Both of these screw heads broken off while hand tightening my hose bib into the side of my house. Now I have 2 screws stuck in my wall in the only space the hose bib will allow. So I can't install my hose bib and I have a copper water line that I can't move, unless I open up the wall inside and redo all my plumbing. Thanks Everbilt, you continue to disappoint as always - why Home Depot uses you as a supplier is a complete mystery. DO NOT BUY FROM EVERBILT

These screws will wait until you are almost done getting them, and then they’ll break off. Doesn’t matter if you use a power drill or a handheld screw driver. I can get them out either, because the pot metal just crumbles. You get what you pay for, and I’m going to the mom and pop hardware store from now on...

As I screwed the first one into the wood the top came right off of the screw. Apparently, brass is too soft of a metal for my application. I returned them and bought stainless steel screws for the job.

My rusty screws came out of outdoor steps stronger than these new screws went it. Easily stripped. Very low quality. Home Depot, get these off your inventory!!!

Drilled pilot hole into wood. The first two screws broke off just below the head. Maybe brass wasn't a good choice.

Terrible screws. They are extremely weak. After pre-drilling, and with the low setting on my drill, all the screws snapped. I then had to drill out the left overs (what a pain), and hand-tighten. And, they snapped too. Out of 4 attempts, only one survived. This is absolute junk. HD should do proper testing before putting products on the shelf.

I would recommend this product. Threads and heading are well formed and Smooth surface looks great on the cajon I recently built.

Broke in half like a piece of chalk under a handheld screwdriver. Don't ruin your projects with this brand.

Pre-drilled holes in a wood post to hang coat hooks. Using a manual screwdriver I was able to twist the heads off of the first two screws before they were half way in. Don't waste your money on Everbilt hardware. Weak material. Made in China.

Love these screws! They go in like butter and hold my wood real good!

Screws were the right size for my project

Screw heads broke off w/ screw 2/3 into wood.

The screws look fine but are not very sturdy. Easily snapped off multiple heads with my drill driver.

I got these screws to replace older ones in some kitchen cabinets I refinished. The holes were pre-drilled and still these screws failed. I used a manual screw driver and the head would twist and pop off with the slightest effort as if they were made of lead. Do not buy this product. Several of my cabinet doors how have brass threads stuck inside which will cause me more work that if I would have simply chosen a less garbage product and brand. What a waste of time.

These are terrible. The head breaks off easily with a little torque.

Predrilled all the holes for these screws…3 out of the 6 that were used broke off after 1 inch. Terrible quality, I know I shouldn’t expect high quality but come on Home Depot, find a different vendor and step up your game.
