These are great to keep around the shop. I was welding two pieces of angle iron and as I welded the dimensions changed. So I tried a porta power, but it did not apply enough pressure. Fully threaded 1.75 inchs long and 9/16 wrench for coupling. I used these to lock down my porch railing 4x4 supports using 3/8 threaded rod. The 3/8 threaded rods are load rated 5400 Lbs and the 4x4s were center-drilled up 12 inches, and a 1 inch side access hole allowed me to install a washer and a 3/8 nut. The 5400 lb load rating would easily strip out the nut, so I welded the nut to the rod inside the hole. Then I installed a 3-greased washer "compression bearing" on the rod end under the deck and installed these 1.75 inch threaded couplers as my securing nuts. The 1.75 inches of thread will withstand well over double the 5400 lbs that the rod is rated for. Beautiful installation with the deck rails mounted OVER the Trex Deck.

I needed to make a threaded spacer so I ended up cutting it in two seems, well made would recommend this if someone need to join to threaded rods together.

Outside diameter is 3/4 inch. Most are 11/16 which are not as heavy duty as the Everbuilt.

Good coupling and good pricing

From threading two machine screws together ... threaded rod ... hard to get to nut applications .. the list goes on. My most recent use was creating a standoff between two metal plates for heat shielding. Work good ... hold up well. I always keep a few in my nuts & bolts bins for those "unforeseen" applications.
