This didn’t work for my needs it turns out I have a frame cabinet and it took 3 trips to HD to Gary it right even with assistance from the HD employees.

Nice hinges
These are the European-style hinge. A 35 mm (or 1-3/8") Forstner bit is required to drill the hole for the hinge cup in the door. A drill guide is handy, but not required. The instructions are clear, but I would like a larger font. The hinge opens far enough to get the door completely clear of the cabinet opening. The soft close feature prevents the door from slamming and ensures it closes properly. The end of the hinge has a little button that allows to door to be removed from the cabinet.

Misleading product images and description
I purchased these inset hinges, expecting the hinge caps, these do not contain the caps as shown in the images and described in the description. As with most hardware from HD, check the contests of the bags, as somebody will probably have stolen it.

    Instructions are incorrect
The hinges work for the most part but installation was very frustrating since measurements given in the instructions are incorrect. If followed, the door is not inset. The cabinet side needs to move in about 3/4"and the door side needs to move closer to the edge by about 1/8". Unfortunately, I had already drilled the doors so that sucks. Maxing out the adjustments and redrilling the cabinet made the door operate but it's not perfect by any means.

      Instructions are wrong.
followed the measurements to a "T". door was sitting 5/8" proud. moved screw holes. had to fully extend lateral adjustment screws. doors closed but there wasn't enough adjustment to get the reveals right. not sure how on earth they could get this so wrong. I've double checked everything and I do know what. I'm doing

        Installation dimensions given
1st of all, Blum & Salice are my go to hinges but with this client I was trying to keep the cost to a minimum so I decide to give Everbilt a shot. Since this was a inset style hinge the instructions were not forth coming with recommended side to side gap vs adjustment available. So before I fabricated the vanity doors I made up a mock door using the recommended 7/8" to simulate. Well it turns out it was worth the time, for at least 85 to 90 percent of the adjustment is used up to just to get the clearance needed to operate correctly. So if I did fabricate the doors before hand the two would have bound up in the center of the vanity cabinet. Be mindful of this issue. I decided to go with 13/16" in this application and worked in the adjustable gap I had to my final door dimensions. In some cases 3/4" would work fine. Regarding the hardware, fine. I hope the attached photos help explain.

          Good choice for inset work
These Everbilt hinges may not be the first brand people think of when looking for soft-close but they do the same job at a more reasonable price. Build quality and finish are good and the soft-close mechanism is smooth and strong. If you live in a salty environment near the sea I recommend a coat of paste wax or polish since the plating can tend to oxidize.

          Solid hinge, easy install
Everbilt Soft Close Frameless Inset 110° Hinge Set (2-Pack). I find it difficult to select the right hinge for the job when looking through the array of possibilities on the shelf. I like this brand because they give a picture of the installation on both types of doors and show which one applies to this hinge type. I was looking for a hinge with the door flush inside the frame and this hinge was the one I needed. The installation instructions a small but clear and give the exact measurements required for the 1-3/8” pocket hole required in the door frame for installation. After drilling the proper sized hole in the offset required, I found it easy to hang the door on my new frame. There are two direction adjustments that bring the door flush with the outer frame as well as side to side adjustment to line up the door in the opening or to match an adjoining door. The hinge has a release that makes it easy to remove the door after installation without removing the screws or changing the final adjustments. I found it a little hard to lineup the clip on the hinge to click it back into place and with some finesse and fuss it did go into place. This hinge offers a soft close feature preventing the door from slamming shut when released and I find that appealing.

          The best
I've been a builder and a remodeled for 52 years, and during all of that time, I have built many kitchens, baths, and built in cabinetry. A very long time ago, I learned that there were numerous advantages for what were called European hinges many years ago. Ever since, I have always recommended hinge systems like these Everbilt Soft Close Frameless Inset 110-Degree Hinge Set 1-Pair (2 Pieces). I believe that these are the only way to go for cabinet doors for so many reasons. Not the least is the fact that they are adjustable horizontally, vertically, and in and out. I highly recommend them!

          Great hinges but bum instructions
I had to discover the hard way what one of the Q&A commentators accurately explains. The distance from the mounting plate screw holes to the cabinet edge is the 1-7/16 inches shown in the bum instructions -- plus the door thickness. See the pic.

            Does not work
Everbilt Soft Close Frameless Inset 110° Hinge does not work because it pushes the doors inward by about 1/4" even with the fully adjusted outward. The picture also shows the screws should be covered but they are not. My cabinet current hinges also have thicker screws and had to make the holes bigger. The only thing I like about this set is the easy mount to the cabinet side.

            Heavy-Duty, Soft, Lasting
Everbilt has proven to be the hardware to last in previous projects and these Everbilt Soft Close Frameless Insert 110-Degree Hinge Set pair will make those loud closing doors a silent after-thought. These heavy duty hinges can support a door beyond 90 degrees up to 110 degrees then bring them to a soft rest against the inner portion of a frameless cabinet or doorway. The piston chamber is visible only prior to installation and the area of motion is limited to an inch of space reducing the chances of finger or other object being caught as they close. A great purchase and a must for glass doors and cabinets containing china and glass drinkware.

            Heavy Duty Hinges
I received these hinges via UPS on 11/19/2021. These hinges are heavy duty and will hold up under any situation. Instruction are easy to read and understand. I will be able to use these hinges and more like them as needed. I have made myself aware that hinges are not all the same however these soft close are easy to use and install. Make sure to install correctly.

            Great Hinges
So, do your research and make sure you select the right size. I want to replace all of our older hinges with the soft close version so I ordered these online. Unfortunately these did not fit what I currently have in place. They seem well made and a quality item and I like the 110 degree. They open and close great. They did not come with a template and the instructions were not the best.

            Frameless Hinge Replacement Fix
My armoire is 24 years old and the frameless hinges were wearing badly causing fine metal shavings to develop all over the inside and finally one hinge broke. So I got these to hopefully be a perfect replacement, but they weren’t. The arm portion that attaches to the door was not the exact screw hole measurements, but I was able to re-adjust them to fit. Even though these were able to work for me, I learned they weren’t the ideal ones I needed. My doors were designed for full overlay and these were for partial overlay. The difference is not important to me, but for those that prefer a perfect match make sure your replacing the right type with your setup.

            Very good hinge set
This soft close hinge set is very functional and performs as advertised and closes even the 42" doors with ease. No more slamming cabinet doors. The hinges are for a frameless or European style cabinet. The size of the hinge is larger than other you can buy, but the appearance and durability is very good. This is a very good hinge and I would recommend it for all frameless installations.

            Instructions incomplete!
Measured twice according to the instructions, drilled once, and found that instead of being flush with the face frame, the door was proud the thickness of the door of the door. Went to the online instructions and found they had an important part that was missing on my paper instructions included with the hinges. (The hinge base holes are supposed to be 1-7/16” + the thickness of the door back from the front of the face frame. Thanks for the wasted time and extra holes in my vanity! Otherwise these seem to be decent hinges. Would have been a four star review if the instructions were correct in the package.

The hinges are made well, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. As a cabinet maker, I am always on the lookout for a good hinge product, and these did not disappoint except for one aspect. The guidelines for using the hinges called for two to handle my project, which was a toy box for my soon-to-be 2-year old grand daughter. The soft-close was what I needed to make sure no fingers got hurt. I ended up using three hinges, which still didn't provide enough resistance for a safe close. I ended up adding another lid stay to keep everyone safe. These hinges will work great on a vertical cabinet door, but I do not recommend them for the lid of a toy box.

These are great quality hinges. they would have done the job really well, however they do not fit my cabinets. they are of a very heavy weight material and open and close very well. I will have to shop for the ones that will fit our cabinets. I'm really bummed. Thought we would try one then purchase the multi pack to save some money as we have lots of cabinets. I recommend purchasing 1 set from the stor and once you find the correct one, you can purchase a multi pack to change all your hinges.

They look very durable, all metal construction (except plastic damper cylinder concealed inside hinge arm). Packaging says that they were made in Germany, that explains slightly higher price and gives higher expectation on number of close/open cycles these hinges may withstand begore either link or damper cylinder get broken. They have the same hole spacing so it's very easy to mount them. I also believe that wider 110 degrees swing limit makes them more durable as you usually stop cabinet door somewhere before it reaches 90 degree swing. But wider swing is really here to permit wide array of non-standard installations. It's very easy to remove door mounted on this hinges.

              Everbilt Soft Close Hinge
I purchased six of these for installing on inset cabinet doors. Mine didnt come with any template for marking the hinge on the door or cabinet side. Instructions were not helpful. I used my Kreg cabinet hinge template and was able toget the door cups aligned properly. The hinge portion on the cabinet however are difficult. The two screws are in an offset pattern which makes it difficult to pre drill. One needs to set them onto the surface within the cabinet, and mark or drill. I also found the latch mechanism to put the two pieces together were very stiff and if not fully expanded out, would not latch easily. I finally resorted to putting both pieces together, holding the door in place and screwing 1/2 of the top hinge to the cabinet. Then completed the screws on other hinge parts. The hinge works great once installed and adjusting the door for gaps works easily enough. I think if alignment and latch were better thought out they would rate all stars.

Very Good Quality and Customer Service
These were the perfect replacement for my European Hinges. The holes were all aligned so I didn't have to drill new ones. Had some issues with Home Depot not having what I needed in stock. I contacted Hettich and received wonderful Customer Service. They helped me find everything I needed in a timely manner. I would look to Hettich for all of my cabinet needs.

                  great quality hinges
I rarely write reviews but felt these hinges deserved one. I am impressed with these hinges and would recommend them. The soft close feature is so nice. It really is a great feature compared to other hinges that don't have this. I read from another reviewer that the offset screws made it a challenge to install and to be honest that threw me off too at first. But after reading the installation instructions I realized the holes you drill are not offset and the plastic posts that go into the holes aren't either. I am sure that this is so you can install 2 hinges back to back into a 3/4" board which was in my scenario. I thought that was very clever. If I had decided on another hinge, this might have been an issue discovered too late. I almost wrote these off as the 'Everbilt' brand felt like a store brand (might be) and I prefer to stay away from store brands. Then I noticed the Hettich logo on these and then after some internet research, found they've got a good reputation. If you're wondering... Yes. I made that cabinet from my own design.

Many reviews talked about having issues with the offset screws for the mounting plate. I did NOT have any issues. The screws are offset but the holes you are to drill are for the nylon 'plugs' protruding from the underside of the hinge bracket adjacent to the screws not for the screws themselves. The plugs are not offset. There are no holes to drill for the associated (offset) screws. You just screw the screws. I did find the instructions a little confusing as it talks about drilling holes for the screws but they are really for the nylon plugs. I did do a couple of tests to make sure I had the correct distance from the front of the where to drill the holes.

The product works fine but the installation is a bit of a pain. The upper and lower screws on the cabinet side are offset from each other. The instructions show them lined up and thus the spacing (in mm) from the cabinet face to the screw holes is wrong for both of them. There is no mention of what the plastic piece is for, so I tossed it. So far most of the screw covers have stayed on, but not all of them. I would try a different brand of hinges but this is the only option for this style of hinge at my local store. It would be a better product if the installation instructions were accurate. The soft-close part works well.
