It was a needed accessory for the new washer and dryer I bought off Home Depot also., My laundry units are in the basement and the drainage comes out at the The foundation 6 feet up, The washing machine did not come equipped with a drainage hose long enough to reach the drain, It works. It feels kind of Cheap, And I also had to cut it Two times with utility knife, so it will fit the drainage connector on the washing machine. It works now, but like I said, it’s really thin and cheap.

Cheap plastic
This thing is very cheap. The plastic is very flimsy. I installed the new drain hose and ran the first load. Five minutes in to the run cycle, I noticed water pooling behind the machine and when I pulled the machine away from the wall I noticed water spraying out of a pinhole in the plastic. Luckily I caught it early before it ruined the floor. Do not use this. Do not buy it.

Absolute garbage. Broke and leaks.
Extremely poorly made. The hose was treated with care and not touched after a professional installation, but a pinhole leak emerged on the hose itself, leaving water pooling in our basement. Garbage quality. Don’t waste your money.

This is for extension not replacement
This is perfect for my need! I don't have to move the washer closer.

Cracked after a month. About 10 inches off the floor so it was hard to see where water was coming from. Did a load or so before we determined it was definitely from the hose. What a mess! Cheap cheap cheap junk. Felt so when it was installed, but needed hose asap.

all plastic so it won't rust. The curved part is adjustable. Nice design.

much more secure at the wall
So both my washing machines have had the same discharge hoses for long than I’ve owned the house. And if there’s anything they tell you about plumbing hoses is that they should be replaced periodically. Granted the ones under pressure are usually stressed more (I already got those done earlier this year), but anything to prevent water damage (especially if it’s an inexpensive “fix”) is a good thing to a home owner. Also, as you can see from the one pic, the old one was held in place at the wall by duct-tape. (That wasn’t me; i just hadn’t gotten around to fix it yet.)
To start, the bag says “expanded end fits 1 in, 1 1/8 in, and 1 1/4 in washing machine discharge stub”. And that’s true, to a point. My stub was 1”, and even after cutting off the large flange on the hose end, the fit felt a bit loose. However, this was not a problem after I put on the new hose and clamped it with the same high tension spring clamp that was on the older hose (I leaked checked it through a spin cycle - no leaks).
As an aside, the bag mentions “Helpful Tools: Screwdriver”. What it should have said was “Channel lock pliers” (or something similar), to help you with the spring clamp you’re going to need to take off your old fitting and put on the new one. Just saying.
I really like the design at the “top” end of the hose; it holds the hose in such a way that it doesn’t want to pop out of the discharge piping on the wall. Which is good, becasue that’s a good place for a surprise flood if that happens. Considering the hose I replaced was literally duct-taped into place to avoid it doing just that, it’s an improvement right there.
It worked ok. There needed to be a 90 degree turn on it coming off the pump. It took some work to route it while keeping it from rubbing tub springs

The product does the job, but the quality is subpar. The plastic is very thin and brittle. I don’t think it’s going to last as long as the original factory equipment that came with the washing machine. But in a pinch it will stop water from going on your floor.

The hose was a replacement of itself. The hose seems a little thin. The original hose developed a hole because it was resting against the washing machine and wore a small hole after 2 weeks of use. Leaking water etc.

Purchased this a replacement for the factory hose. The nice thing about this is it’s a universal hose that can be cut to fit the outlet of the washer as well as the length. Good value and easy to use.
