Worth every cent!!!! Super powerful and keeps half of my large apartment nice n cool. Definitely recommend for anyone with more than two to three rooms in their place. Plus I love that it hooks up to my app.

So, I've had this AC unit for 1 day in Florida. It's been running constantly and guess what? It has the same issue as the last GE AC unit, that being water accumulating in the fan blade area. This is the area inside your bedroom where the fan motor brings in your bedroom air and then blows it out the top of your AC unit. I heard gurgling and saw drops of water being blown out. All GE units have NO DRAIN in the fan area to get rid of water build up. I took the front cover off and punched a few holes with a Phillips screwdriver. This allows the water to drain to the outside back of the unit. No more gurgling!! Why in the world they design something like this is beyond me. If you run into this issue, here's a tip to fix it.

All I can say is what a relief after two failed attempts I finally come across some mazing GE window unit that mind you cause my whole entire house. Hey never said it was a big house LOL just can’t figure out the Wi-Fi I’m sure it’s operator error instead of the Unit itself. But I’ll get the hang of it.

Easy Instalacion quite and efficient

Its been operating one week in a very demanding environment. It operates per the demand quietly and most efficiently and automatically. I particularly like the method of using condensate in the cooling process elevating efficiency. Install was quite easy though upstairs installs require 2 strong people ut seems. I had a little difficulty with the app operation but figured it out. I REALLY enjoy my unit.

Bought this for an uninsulated playhouse, went from 99degrees to 72 in about an hour. Well pleased

After returning another brand’s disaster of an AC, I took a chance on the GE 12K BTU smart AC. Installation was a breeze and boy is it FANTASTIC! Crisp and cool of a large room. Much quieter than other brands and I am excited to use the smart app feature when I can finally leave the house. 1000% reccomend that you buy this air conditioner!

We've been using this AC now for about 6 weeks, through a very hot July and an August that's also been very hot and humid and it's doing an excellent job of cooling the 1st floor of our home -- about 1200 sq. ft. It runs a little louder than I hoped it would, but that, I guess is also a function of its size. It's not overly loud or obnoxious, but a few less decibels would be nice. Being able to control it via a schedule or through the WiFi is a nice feature. We can leave the all of the windows closed when we go away for a weekend and then start the AC through the app when we're about 30-45 minutes out or set a schedule for it and have it start before we expect to get home. We used a window mount to add support for it since we had just replaced all the windows and weren't sure about the weight against the vinyl sash. Turns out that it wouldn't have been a problem, as far as I can tell, but the support is there so it's being used. The AC unit does weigh around 100 lbs., so I'm sure the support is a good thing.

Fit our needs perfectly. We bought this last month and so far...so good! It is keeping the entire 1st floor of our home cool and comfortable. We have about 700 sf for the 1st floor and wasn't sure if it could handle it but its doing great. Runs fairly quietly for an air conditioner. And is a lot lighter in weight than our old one. Very happy with it. If it lasts as long as the old one then I will consider it a total win!

My Saint Bernard LOVES it!! And we love the wifi and Eco options. We can leave the air off when nobody is home and turn it on using an app before we get home... pretty cool.

This air conditioner works great! It comes with a remote and you can also use your phone. The installation wasn't hard at all and didn't take very long. This keeps our area we have it in very cool. It blows cold and we haven't had any issues so far and it meets our expectations!

Wipes the table with the highly rated 10,000 BTU single-hose portable unit we purchased recently. On a humid 90 degree day, this GE 12,000 btu window unit is able to quickly cool our bedroom (1 hour to hit 68 degrees, sized about 350 to 410 sq ft, depending on if we include the master bath). This unit covers our entire top floor in 2 hours (1600 sq ft cape). Via the hallway style stairs, it also cools part of the downstairs. Background: Our original GE 5,200 BTU window unit covered the bedroom and part of the remaining upstairs well, cooling quickly, until it recently started to fail at 15 years old. Not thrilled with the look of a window unit, we purchased another brands 10,000 btu single hose portable ac unit. Unfortunately, that unit took many many hours to hit the set temperature for our bedroom alone, and struggled or failed to keep up during the hotter parts of the day. Not happy, we did some more research and ended up deciding the far superior performance of a window unit was the only viable solution. We went with GE again because our original GE was a workhorse, and we have high hopes for the new GE window unit to get similar or better longevity. We now use the portable unit as a supplement to cover the rest of the downstairs (it takes hours to catch up). My only gripe with this new unit is there is not a simple timer feature. 90% of the time, a timer is far simpler and more effective for us than having to dig out a device, open the app and adjust the temp settings on demand. The app only provides the ability to immediately change the settings, to set up a predefined schedule, and to perform settings changes based on a single phone leaving the vicinity. Our schedule is to varied for us to set up a predefined schedule and the geofencing behavior is to reactionary to be useful (I don't want the ac off because I went for a walk). Ideally, GE would add the ability to perform a one time setting change at a specific time. This would allow, as a single example, to set up in the morning so the room starts cooling before we get home. Yes, we could change the setting when leaving work or heading home from errands, but those end of day hours are so chaotic, it is so easy to forget. That single gripe said, this unit is fabulous. While window units are not the most attractive, the performance is terrific, the unit is well made, sturdy, and easy to use.

I use this unit to cool a temperature controlled moisture room that is frequently inspected by Florida Department of Transportation. Based on the performance of the unit, it has managed to maintain the prescribed temperature with no deviation. Great buy!

Works the way it suppose to work. It looks good and is quiet.

I purchased the unit in June and it is awesome. Having the ability to make a schedule or remotely fire up the unit is such a bonus. We never have to come home to a hot house in the summer again. Even when it came to setting up the unit on Wifi it was so easy. I'd recommend this system to everyone who can't afford central or split system A/C.

Only have had it one week but it already has gotten us through 1 heat wave. So far it seems to be working great.

This A/C unit was easy to install and cools off my living room wonderfully! For someone with MS who can't handle the humidity of the summer heat, this was the best purchase of the summer. The remote is an added bonus.

Very easy to install and was adequately providing what we needed.

Works great, cooled a 550 sq ft. room easily. Having control from my smart phone was a great feature. Been using it for about a week now. Now that I know I'm keeping it, I'll add a window bracket today. Drains well.
