Great for compact space!
We have been looking for a ventless washer/dryer and after some research, we decided to go with GE. The drying cycles might be longer than normal dryers, but it definitely does the job. Plus your garment come out wrinkle free as the machine use steam to sanitize and dry the clothes!

I bought this for my 5th wheel trailer that I live out of when I work on the road. it's amazing to have the ability to clean clothes without going to a laundromat. This unit Cleans and drys the clothes better than I expected I have had a full queen sheet set with pillow cases in one load came out perfect. I load 3 pants 3 shirts and same amount of days worth of underwear and socks, it cleaned and dried them perfectly. I have not had an issue yet! I pull them out as soon as it beeps and shake them out, fold or hang them up! I like the ability to start the load of laundry and leave knowing it will all be done without switching from washer to dryer!

      Superlative performance
Clothes always firm and thoroughly shaped. I use less soap and creative time ! I will be retired in this condo so we chose G &E due to dependability.

          Great machine
It was delivered, installed and I immediately went to work using it to get caught up. I love the ease of use, and it went through wash and dry without me having to worry about sour smelling clothes if I forget a load in the wash, which happens with my busy life. Only thing I would change about my purchase is adding a pedestal to reduce how far down Ihave to bend. Love it so far

Excellent performance that exceeded my expectation
Since it was installed I used it 4 times. I made sure each load had similar items and not to overload and each time items come out dry and almost not wrinkled - plus it is very quiet and looks great too. Very happy with the purchase !!!

Filter is BOOGER to deal with!
I'm just days away from having my machine 4mos. I couldn't for the life of me get the filter open with a quarter as suggested for monthly cleaning. I tried repeatedly to no avail. I tried a flathead screwdriver - nope! I tried a pointed knife to get a better angle - nope! FINALLY, a butter knife did the trick. Then I placed a plastic plate underneath to capture water since the suggest bowl would be IMPOSSIBLE due to proximity to floor once opened. I'm sure if I had managed to open this booger sooner there wouldn't have been near the fluid inside - HAVE A TOWEL UNDER MACHINE NEAR FILTER OPENING and avoid the headache I experienced!! Since I am religious about cleaning the lint ring after each load, I certainly didn't expect the volume of debris in the filter itself. It doesn't look like much, but it was absolute nightmare wrapped up in and around the peace sign built into the interior of the filter ring. Have scissors nearby - that or Excedrine Migraine, lol! - because this was anything but a peaceful experience. Don't get me wrong, I still love the convenience of this machine over going to a laundromat ANYDAY! I'm just disabled so getting on the floor is difficult. Having weak hands makes this even harder to do =(

Compact. Quiet. Gets The Job Done.
The appliance looks very modern, the design is quite impressive. The functionality is up to expectations for a non-cheap domestic washer/dryer. It was relatively to install without professional help and it did not require any serious plumbing knowledge. The basket is not too spacious, just big enough to fit a normal load for a small family. It runs very quiet and washes thoroughly, also the dryer function seems to do the job. On the other hand, it takes a substantial amount of time (3-4 hours) to runn a full wash-dry cycle, and provided you have a steady demand for clean/dry clothes while the drum (basket) is relatively mid-sized, you'll be running more than one load in row, so book an entire day for your laundry. The good thing is - you don't have to worry, as this thing is fully automatic and you can do your normal-life things while it's washing/drying. More concisely, here I'd like to list the advantages and disadvantages. Pros: - looks - small size (replaced my old Washer/dryer combo and now there's a lot more free space in my laundry room) - quiet operation - convenient menu, easy to understand - rubber-coated bottom pegs (sits very stably even on an otherwise slippery tile floor) Cons: - takes hot water from your normal water heater, so can't guarantee a certain water temperature (I'd prefer my washing machine to have its own water heating element - this way it has better water temperature control - and fewer hoses to connect) - wash/dry cycle is too long (3-4 hours) - drain hose is relatively short - front door hinge is not switchable (between left and right), it opens right-to-left only - no lint filter (you have to wipe lint off the rubber gasket after every dry cycle and it's a little annoying)

                    Love it
Can only handle smaller loads and the drying part is not not a conventional dryer but it is perfext for 2 people and once you get use to the slight dampness and shake out the garment it it great! It fit in my linen closet and was easily hooked up to our bathroom sink water and drain.

                        *UPDATED* from full time RVer
Living in a 5th wheel makes this machine a delight (minus the spin cycles that shake my whole house - would be 5 stars otherwise)! Prior reviewers had complaints about the smell, both inside and out. It is suggested that all new users run a CLEAN cycle initially - my first review included a pic of that very action. However, I suggest keeping a Glade plug-in near the machine until the machine itself airs out AND using either fabric softener and/or scent beads to assist with the residual smell on clothing itself. It takes about a week, but trust me, it WILL improve! While my first review showed my dog's bed, he only slept there at night when the machine wasn't running. Clearly he's gotten used to it, and I'm happy to report my machine is now DOG APPROVED, too! *Previously posted as TXlibralady but wouldn't allow me to re-use even when signed into my GE account (sigh)

Takes a bit to get used to, BUT...
...I'm so grateful to avoid laundromats after transitioning to a 5th wheel. This GE has the smallest footprint with the largest interior capacity - perfect for those who have downsized like myself! I was blessed to have found a RV model with 2 vanities, so I removed one sink cabinet to make the perfect home for my new appliance (see attached pic). The spin cycles are bit much for my dishes - yes, my whole place shakes, but I'm doubtful anti-vibration pads would be helpful in an RV. Most of cycles do indeed leave the clothes a bit damp given there is no vent. I have found, however, I get best the drying results on the "Whites" setting. I'd rather have a 3 hour cycle and DRY clothes than go for a shorter cycle and be irritated with damper clothes. I just need to find out if we can use the washing beads for extra freshness since using dryer sheets are not an option. *I'll update or post again when I find out! =)

                            Perfect for small space
Purchased washer combo in December - this far it has not failed me. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. I use it 3 - 4 times week. Yes leaves clothes slight damp , but dries quickly once out of washer. The downside to this is you cannot wash blankets.

This is the first time I have owned a combo washer/ dryer but so far it washes really well. Takes about 4 hours to complete a load from start to finish. But it is very quiet.

Obsessed - works like a charm!
As long as you follow the directions on how to load the drum you will not be displeased. 3 hours max - 4 hours for jeans and work pants and that quick wash will be done in two hours! I am obsessed! When you grab the clothes out they feel damp - just take em out they are dry! It's like magic. Highly recommend this unit - we use it in our RV! Don't mind the photo- you can't place anything on top of this unit, the towels were placed there before I got to that part of the manual!

                                  Poor Product, Not recommended
The GE 2.4 cu. ft. White High-Efficiency 120-Volt Ventless Electric All-in-One Washer Dryer Combo - looks promising and we wanted to save space so we thought this is the perfect solution for us. A lot of positive reviews were posted when we bought it in August, 2020. And since we have never really seen anyone with it before, we purchased the protection plan for five years. The total we paid was over $1,500. We had problems since the day we got it. The clothes seems damp after the full wash/dry cycle and initially thought that maybe we were loading a lot of clothes. But it still felt damp even with just a few items. Then after a few more uses, the clothes are just wet. It was supposed to wash and dry. So we called the store so we can get a new one or maybe even return the product - thinking that the product we received was just defective. But they said that they can not help us since we have to go through the manufacturer warranty first before the 5 Year Protection Plan kicks in - which doesn't really make sense :) But we did call GE and they promised to send someone out. Due to coronavirus, GE said that they have a backlog. All we can do is use it as a washer, good thing we have an old dryer. We did get a service person come by January - 5 months after we purchased the product - only to tell us that he doesnt have the part needed. He said that he did a temporary fix to it to lessen the water. It is now mid-March, 2021 and he has not come back. After he left, we noticed that the washer keeps beeping that it doesnt have enough water - you have to hit unpause for more water to get in the system. So now we have to push the unpause button 2 or 3 times before it finishes the load. And we still have to use a seperate dryer. Tried contacting the Home Depot Protection Plan and they said that they can not do anything until the GE one year warranty expires. We are really frustrated with this product and the protection plan. We have purchased items from other stores before and they were able to either replace our equipment because they were defective or give us a credit toward purchasing another item. Adding my receipt here so you can tell that its a verified purchase and also the error we get now.

What a waste of $1500, machine is very small only infant clothes are big enough or you will be washing for days. Takes about 4 hours to do one load. Leaves a smell on your clothes doesn't dry clothing all that great..I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.. Tried to return the next day but merchant said no..

Hello FAQ5 - We truly appreciate your loyalty and are so glad to hear your washer is doing a good job! Leaks on a front load washer can be caused by soil and soap being left on the door seal after a wash. We suggest you carefully wipe off the rubber door seal to prevent small leaks, making sure to wipe the edge of the gasket. We bought this for our fifth wheel and it was delivered the day after Thanksgiving. The delivery men were very helpful in getting it up the stairs into the fifth wheel and up the second set of stairs into the bedroom they were able to place it inside the closet although they were not able to completely install it due to Home Depot regulations. This little washer dryer combo is amazing! We are now in an RV park that does not allow dryers because we are hooked up to their electricity, although we are only using the wash and spin cycles this spins so efficiently that the clothes come out barely damp. We highly recommend this! Great purchase, no looking back, if you live in an RV this is the Way to go!!!

Different soil washing, temperature, and load size
Since my last 2 apartment size washers were of another brand, I bought this washer only on my great experience with past GE washers. To my surprise this small size washer is just as efficient as a full size washer with all the features for convenience and satisfaction of a clean wash added with amazing technology of drying the laundry as desired tumble, low or normal. My clothes smelled clean and felt nice and dry.

It uses less water, & we pay a lot for water so that hopefully helps us Save money toward the purchase. It’s very quiet, Had to adjust the legs a little bit.

I was a little sceptical of this unit because I have no experience with Washer/Dryer combo units. It did not disappoint. After the installation, the guys ran an empty cycle to make sure things were working properly and it was super quiet. I loaded it with 4 pairs of pants and it did not disappoint. I did a sanitize cycle that took 3 hours and 50 minutes. I thought it was just the wash, but it was both wash and dry. The clothes came out perfect. They were a little moist to touch, but that passed 1 minute after being out. I still do not understand how it works while being ventless, but this unit is incredible. Small capacity, but not issues with its performance. 100% would purchase again.

The door swings downward toward the floor via a bottom hinge. I could not get the drain plug off. Use a shopvac held to the side of the housing as you unscrew it to suck up the water. There will be a fair bit and it will make a mess.

                                                            Almost Perfect
This is a new model under the GE brand, formerly produced under their Haier brand. Because it’s new, I’ll take a little more time for a review. I plan to put it under the counter in my cabin’s new kitchen. (The picture shows it in a space for a stackable, and it’s working fine there until the kitchen is ready.) This all-in-one combo style is common in Europe, and I’m thrilled GE is offering it in the U.S. FEATURES I LOVE • Ventless • All-in-one with options for wash only, dry only or both • Sanitizes clothing on extra hot when necessary • Tub cleaning option (without clothes) • Affordable 5-year warranty through Home Depot • Doesn’t need 220 power TROUBLESHOOTING THOSE BEEPS When you turn it on, off, end of cycle, etc … the cutesy little song vignettes are too much! I’ll save you some time on the research: hold “temp” and “spin” at the same time for about 3 seconds, and you will see the little speaker icon in the upper right of the display disappear. (You’re welcome.) INSTALLATION My unit was delivered during the pandemic, so the guys just pushed it inside my front door. Both the drivers and the manual recommended spraying glass cleaner on the floor to make it slide better, but that didn’t work on my laminate floor. I tilted two legs on a rug with no backing, and it slid just fine. Be sure to keep the locking bolts in case you ever move or sell the unit. You’ll need them to lock the tub in place during transport. I just put the hardware in a baggie and taped it to the back of the unit. Also, if your “included wrench” is missing too, you’ll need a ½” wrench to remove the locking bolts. I couldn’t find my plumbing tape, but everything hooked up just fine with no leaks. Easy to do on my own as well. UNDERSTANDING DIFFERENCES Ventless dryers use a different drying technology, so YES they take longer to dry. I’ve done everything on Normal/Warm and it’s 3 hours, 7 minutes for both wash and dry. I’ve never had to add drying time, although there is an option to do that. I’ve washed heavy pants lined with fleece, extra thick sweatshirts for 20 degrees, a fleece lap blanket, many long sleeve heavy t-shirts, turtlenecks, bath towels…and everything has been dry after a normal cycle. The only thing I’ve taken care to do is to not fill over 2/3 of the tub. For the items that come out wrinkled, I’ve found if I “hand press” them with my palm while folding, then most of the wrinkles come out. You may be used to only cleaning out the lint tray in the dryer, but this unit will take a little more care. Nothing hard – just a few minutes every two weeks. I read the manual and made a checklist to tape on the unit so I don’t forget. IF I COULD CHANGE ONE THING: The buttons are quite sensitive. Once when the cycle was running, I leaned over the unit to grab something and inadvertently pushed a lot of buttons with my stomach. If you have the option of putting it higher on a sturdy cabinet, that might be worth considering. Overall, if the unit continues performing as it has in its first month, I will be quite content with this purchase.
